Fun fact: This is the first video that I edited completely using DaVinci Resolve. Hopefully it was seamless compared to Premiere for you regular viewers. 🤓👍

I only use Davinci Resolve due to the fact that its free :-) The software has still issues with crashing (mostly when using fusion) or missing optimized media, but i heard that premiere and after effects have the same issues. If you ever find the time it would be great if you can compare your editing effectiveness between Davinci, Premiere and Hitfilm.

Suggested name for the series: Enlightened Engineering. The Aputure 300d II
I love the 120d II so it's good to see the 300d II match it. My wallet is welded into my safe.
Thanks Gerald. Look forward to the rest of the series.
P.S. the DaVinci edit looked good.

This is a big step up from the 300D. I really like the new battery/power supply combo control box and the new app with FX. Many of these new accessories will help improve the original 300D too. Not sure if you can upgrade the brake? Also, you can get a used 300D for around $800 USD now. Wow, the 300D mkII looks better in your side by side with the 120D II. I was really surprised by that. I've never tried to stand on my Aputure cases...Ha. Well, the mkII maybe my next light. It's that good.

I have a mki 300d, and because the ballast and power housing are separated, I almost always reach for one of my 120dii’s first. I’m excited to try the 300d mkii, because it seems as simple and easy as the 120dii now. It’s a bit bigger and heavier ofc, but that’s no big deal. I was gonna get a second 300d anyways, so now I can a more useful and brighter version instead

It’s hard to describe, but you can’t even do a full turn on mine before the handle basically seizes even though the light isn’t tight on the yoke yet.
