A warning will be displayed when starting FSX.
However, there is no problem with recording flights.
hi... sorry to disturb you again, but on the manual it says I need to have fsx with service pack 1 installed. Does it work even if I have the standard fsx steam edition?

Yes.FSX Recorder requierd softwear that name is simConnect.
In other words, FSX Recorder requires SimConnect, which is included in Service Pack 1.
SFX-SE includes the required SimConnect installer, which is located in the following folder.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX\SDK\Core Utilities Kit\SimConnect SDK\LegacyInterfaces\FSX-RTM
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX\SDK\Core Utilities Kit\SimConnect SDK\LegacyInterfaces\FSX-SE
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX\SDK\Core Utilities Kit\SimConnect SDK\LegacyInterfaces\FSX-SP1
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX\SDK\Core Utilities Kit\SimConnect SDK\LegacyInterfaces\FSX-XPACK
There are four versions of these. I have 3 versions of these installed. I forgot which one I installed.
However, all of these do not conflict, so you can install them all.
You can install SimConnect by running SimConnect.msi.
Although it's a bit tedious, I recommend installing them one by one and seeing if FSX Recorder works.
