It's hard to compare ride and driving characteristics on the Camry. The tires are practically bad / cheap on the Camry. With better tires, I was pleasantly surprised by how much better it drove.

Hi, thanks for the video. What do you think about the weight of the steering? Does camry le have lighter steering compared to se and compare to accord? I feel like the accord has the heavier stering
Very inexperienced reviewer. The video is supposed to be about the SE vs the LE but he keeps mentioning the Accord and Sonata. He quotes the SE's mpg's much less than what is quoted by the govt. Also, push button start & side monitoring is an inexpensive option pkg. (less than $1K) that can be easily added. His opinion that the Accord Sport is more aggressive is simply his opinion. I disagree completely and sales numbers show that Camry sales outnumber Accord sales greater than 2 to 1, so the market has spoken. Many people do not like the newer fastback style of the Accord that has continued into the newest Accord. The earlier style sold much better. The Accord has discontinued the 2.0 engine, only the 1.5 is available and they all have turbos. Turbos can be very expensive t repair and there's the turbo-lag when accelerating with a slow-to-respond CVT. Some say this engine is too small and with a turbo, it's being overworked, potentially decreasing its life (like driving a stagecoach with puppies vs. horses). The Camry has no need for a turbo with its 2.5 engine; plenty of power and very efficient.
I rented one of these from Avis for a road trip. I found it very noisy on the interstate above 50 mph. I was thinking about buying one, but the interior noise is a significant turnoff. I’ll keep looking.
I just leased a 2023 Toyota Camry, SE, and it does have a push button to start, and my outside mirrors do tell me when somebody driving in the next lane to me. So it does come with all those things in my Camry.
Excellent review, thank you. Stepping up to the XLE should address most of the negatives you mention. Maybe do a review of that trim. It comes standard with a 9 inch screen, blind spot monitoring, push button start, auto dimming rearview mirror, leather, etc. for not much more in price esp in the front wheel drive version.
I prefer the sit position of Camry. Accord's seat is too low and you cannot raise it high enough if you want to. I felt tired on long trips with the Accord
200+ hp out of a naturally aspirated 4 cylinder is still phenomenal. None of the other brands’ 2.0Ls and 2.5Ls horsepower density comes close without forced induction.
I don’t know what I need to do to get a Toyota Camry SE in stock, I went to two car dealerships and an official dealer offered me 11 thousand more than what I needed, saying that we only have XSE of them and to get SE of them you have to wait 6 -8 months and a similar situation 200 miles around me in all Toyota dealerships. It’s always like this with Toyota, when I bought my Toyota Tundra I waited a year for it, and it’s like that now. But I don’t want to wait, so I opted for another brand.

I wanted to get a 2022 Honda Civic Sport Hatchback in Boost Blue Pearl, but when the 2023 HR-V Sport came out, it suits me better for what I want and need, but I am also considering a 2023 Camry SE in blue. The Nightshade Edition is nice, but I would rather get the regular SE with the 18" wheels and tires. The SE is the sweet spot with what I want for the price, and easier to get another one in case something happens to it. It is the best solid, reliable mid sized sedan, and more reliable than the Accord. I wouldn't even consider the other brands. The key is fine, but I think with all the option packages, one of them may have the pushbutton start. I like that the Camry still has map storage pockets behind both front seats. The lack of the left one on most vehicles now really irk us with OCD and throws of the symmetrical balance and aesthetics. The 7 inch display is fine. I would just upgrade the speakers and amps with aftermarket ones from my favorite car audio companies, but most likely Rockford Fosgste. What I would do is get a blue one, get the OEM black out emblem kit, the side window black out trim decals, and legal smoke tint windows. Wheel locks, the essential OEM accessories like wheel locks, weather floor and trunk mats, rear seat back protectors if they have them for the Camry, black license plate frames with clear covers, legal here in Honolulu, HI. I would then get the Eibach lowering springs, the more moderate ones, though some would like the ones with the lower drop, to stiffen the suspension and add a more sporty stance. Then I would get a front strut tower brace, and a nice dash cam like the Pelsee 4K Pro that fits over the rear view mirror and has the biggest display and best features. It is reviewed by my good friend Jason Miller at the 717Project UA-cam channel. He has a Civic Type R, considering getting the new one, but his channel features Blue, probably the nicest customized and modified ongoing 2022 Civic Sport Sedan. After the above, I would consider a cold air intake and nice performance exhaust and maybe a mild tune if they have a good one out there. Other than EDC equipment for emergency and convenience, the rest would mostly be little customizing add ons and such. In stock for with the additions mentioned above, that's pretty much enough for me.

@@cerinawoehrley4199 agreed. The old school key ignition has some advantages. And the Camry has the traditional automatic transmission like you stated. I got a 2023 camry se upgraded, to all people who have a 2023 se, does yours make noise when starting after being parked for hours? I dunno if hes full of s* or if its normal.... thanks!!
2023 Toyota Camry SE exterior design is good, front end could use some refining ... Interior is ok, not on par with others in this same Class Segment ... Slainte' ! Cheers !
They are decent for normal people. If you had a crazy sound system or name brand factory system then you won’t be that happy with them. But they are good enough
if you want that 'sporty feeling', then you buy a Camry TRD. they aren't going to put track level cornering abilities into a sub 30K family sedan imo. good review as always, though!
Idk man, I get there will be marginal car performance difference but I like to think driver can easily make up difference. Looks wise is a toss up and to each their own, finally I like to think Toyota edges out in reliability
The Camry SE is a solid all around car for the price, albeit it may lack some features you mentioned, but I believe there are options and packages for the push button start, bigger display if you can find one at the dealerships. SEs are hard to find, as they sell out faster than the XSE, which costs a lot more. I am old school, I think that I would prefer the keyed ignition. The soft suspension is an easy fix with aftermarket Eibach coil springs. I have driven so long before blind spot monitoring was available, and am as a former police officer with the driver training and experience to be used to driving without that. I've had performance cars in the past, but an SE would be perfect for what I want, with the reliability, dependability and longevity. The engine is of sufficient power and performance, but they still have the V6 available, but may be phased out soon, except for the TRD. The new Accords went to only turbos and hybrids, so the reliability and longevity will probably be less than the previous models. They should have kept the N/A high output 2.4L? That was in the earlier Accord Sport.
NEVER buy from a dealer that marks cars up over MSRP. That's an unethical, greedy money grab, and tells you everything you need to know about that dealer. Don't do it...
@@BigPck2 Not all... I just bought a car from a dealer in Nicholasville, Kentucky that does not do that, and never has. That's why I do business with them.
@@BigPck2 Yes. I paid exactly the MSRP as displayed on the original factory window sticker - no markups, no addons, no bogus fees... That's the best you can do these days. And I got exactly what Kelley Blue Book said my trade was worth. And yeah, I was pretty surprised, but that dealership just won a lifelong customer.
@michaelgilbert8146 How bout transfer and destination fees and doc fees and extra break light which comes with car they call when you press break it blinks give heads up to the car coming behind you they charging money for that too . Which is extra $300 bucks.
The screens they started putting in these new cars these day, are so ugly. They look aftermarket, like you got it added onto at your local car modification store.
Great review! It does not look like a noise isolating is any better than Altima has. What do you think? I am thinking about buying midsize sedan for quiet and comfortable long road trips. Which one you think the best?
They are similar. I made allot of videos of the Altima. Driving and reviewing and I love the way how the Altima drives but the Toyota feels little quiter and more put together
I find it ridiculous they put on paddle shifters on a lazy CVT COMMUTER which no one will use more than once but they dont give you push button start which you would use every single time.... hold up...this IS NOT A CVT?!?!
I want test on these vehicles in cold weather while it is snowing outside. My corolla sucks when it comes to the windshield defrosting. Even after lifting each wiper after the car is warm they will sometimes refreeze to the windshield if I don't continuously run them. This is totally unacceptable of course and a design flaw also because slush also continuously builds up on the left drivers side and causes problems. Poor design again. I see a niche opening for someone to do these. Also if someone wanted to buy the best possible winter tires there is a niche for that because the ultimate best tires wouldn't have the same tread pattern for the front and back and nobody does this.
Now can someone (you) please tell me which cosmetic exhaust cap would work for a 4-cylinder 2023 LE Camry? I bought the OEM option from the store that was mean to go on XLE models but it was too wide to fit flush to the pipe...no one in Toyota forums *crickets* has any meaningful advice on the matter apparently. So which non-performance exhaust would work/should I try? PS: I don't want to have to modify my pipe to make something fit ideally...And I don't want a "vroom VROOM" exhaust because that just sounds obnoxious on 4-cylinders. Are any Camry's 6-cylinders? It seems like the majority of 2023's are 4.
2 things say about that. Aesthetically yes, technically yes. Reliable wise Toyotas are still tanks compared to those brands. AND the biggest thing is the warranty. While Kia and Hyundai have the 100k 10 year warranty, actually getting the vehicles in and out of the shop is a nightmare. Where as Toyotas if ever needed to go to the shop, will be fixed with speed. Toyotas also hold their value fairly well. Compared to those other brands.
@@OoOoQualityoOoO absolutely Toyota is the king of reliability but I believe Hyundai is getting to the point where yes the warranty’s Covers most of it the newer cars their making 2018+ are rarely in the shop but id say now it’s 1. Toyota 2. Honda 3. Hyundai ( no Luxury )
I drive a hyundai elantra right now and Im trading it in Ion want it nomore they cars are made weird almost like cheap material.. Way too much road noise. Toyota definitely better I drove a few rentals and I think toyota has better audio sound in their cars and feels more comfortable and safe

Mine does some noise for like 10-15 seconds then stops, and doesnt do it when hot. Called toyota, the mechanic says he has a 22 and it does the same... I dunno if hes full of s* or if its normal.... thanks!!
Which had the most comfortable seats, in your opinion, the Accord or the Camry?
Camry
First comment! 😄But great review as always!
Thank you so much! :)
i just got a 23 camry se. my speed cluster the digital one in middle is small then this review car
Whats the price tax included
Of camry SE IN canada ?
I am not from Canada lol
2024 might have a brand new makeover im not sure yet. But imma wait till next year to see
I think you can adjust the seat height, plz correct me if I’m wrong.
You’re correct.
Great car!
Have a 2023 Corolla se ordered, please do a review on one. Thanks
I just bought the same exact one with silver but mine have awd
2023 Toyota Camry SE exterior design is good, front end could use some refining ... Interior is ok, not on par with others in this same Class Segment ... Slainte' ! Cheers !
How are the stock speakers?
They are decent for normal people. If you had a crazy sound system or name brand factory system then you won’t be that happy with them. But they are good enough
if you want that 'sporty feeling', then you buy a Camry TRD. they aren't going to put track level cornering abilities into a sub 30K family sedan imo. good review as always, though!
Love my 19 xse with red leather
But which is better for mpg v6 our v8
v6
Idk man, I get there will be marginal car performance difference but I like to think driver can easily make up difference. Looks wise is a toss up and to each their own, finally I like to think Toyota edges out in reliability
Question, is 4,000 down and 700 dollar payments for 72 months to much ?
Dam for a Camry ? Lol. I know people buying Benz for this price lol
@roy c how much was your car? My Tesla was $400. They rapped you with interest?
@Sleepy_Gamer 650 a month is your Camry a XSE or SE?
@Sleepy_Gamer ok that's a little bit better but Toyota is definitely top dollar anyway they a quality company
@Sleepy_Gamer yea they easily last 10 years and they fast
I am six months late! But still afford it bro.
Wait for 2024 next gen
NEVER buy from a dealer that marks cars up over MSRP. That's an unethical, greedy money grab, and tells you everything you need to know about that dealer. Don't do it...
Well all dealers are doing that right now…
@@BigPck2 Not all... I just bought a car from a dealer in Nicholasville, Kentucky that does not do that, and never has. That's why I do business with them.
@@ExSkyCyclePilot so you paid manufacturers price?
@@BigPck2 Yes. I paid exactly the MSRP as displayed on the original factory window sticker - no markups, no addons, no bogus fees... That's the best you can do these days. And I got exactly what Kelley Blue Book said my trade was worth. And yeah, I was pretty surprised, but that dealership just won a lifelong customer.
@michaelgilbert8146 How bout transfer and destination fees and doc fees and extra break light which comes with car they call when you press break it blinks give heads up to the car coming behind you they charging money for that too . Which is extra $300 bucks.
I actually prefer a regular key
Its crazy how it still doesnt give customer a push button even when its not the base trim.
I do agree :(
You would have to get the SE upgrade trim to get it.
It kinda is a base trim. It’s the base trim LE, but the sport version, hence the SE. Similar features pretty much on paper.
But it doesnt matter. Its 2022 and all cars should have a push button now. Nissan base trim have push button
@@epicwolf not all of them do though. It may become standard across the board in a few years.
Oh lmfao you’re in wallingford I though that area looked familiar
Haha yes
It's hard to tell but I hear a huge amount of road and engine noise.
Wind whoosh noise very common in jdm cars lol
How bout Toyota put some vent on back seats for passengers .
They should
There are vents under the seats they blow cold and hot as long as you have the setting for the floor on. So you really do not need the extra vents
@@carlasemancik all cars have that lol. Having extra vents in a big car is helpful. In sub compact there is no need
@@Iegend17 yes I know. I have the se and it cools off just fine without the extra vents. I did not get them with the one I bought.
Listen at 1.25x speed
Eliminates the umm and ahh 😂
Awd?
Yes
I'm pretty happy with mine, but I miss push button start big time! Hyundai has great seats compared to toyota.
Fucking engine blows at 50,000
I find it ridiculous they put on paddle shifters on a lazy CVT COMMUTER which no one will use more than once but they dont give you push button start which you would use every single time.... hold up...this IS NOT A CVT?!?!
All new accords comes with a turbo. What did you expect
LOL not all, hybrids arent :)
No more v6?
Well I didn’t drive a v6 lol
The V6 will be gone for the 2024 redesigned Camry. It will be replaced by the 2.4 turbo engine.
v6 is offered as an option on the xle and xse
Wow
48mil per galon to litera
I own one
The only down side is the uncomfortable seats
The worst seats ever Toyota made
They kept the same body shape for 6 years 😢
Steering wheel is on the wrong side lol
Yes you are right. It should be on top of the car
Too many gears for a natural 2.5 engine.
Man, those roads are crap.
2023 with a TURN KEY 😂😂😂😂 Wow Toyota, y'all really holding back 👎
This car only 10% made in japen
Enough of the naturally aspirated bs.. its a gas engine. Got it!
Lol sorry I got it 💀👻
Honestly I Rather get a Hyundai Elantra or a Sonata N line idk the newer Hyundais are more appealing
