Nice one. Just one small tip: When using Imprint Curve command check the Hide occlusion button (X-ray tab) that way you don't have to constantly delete the imprints on the other side of the solid.
Most of the time, when lofts fail the curves and their end points are not an intersection. Make sure that every point is on every point/curve. Also sometimes the operation you want to perform is to complex or incalculable. So adjust and try a few different methods out.
Yeah, they are like magic to me. Also, I modeled the headphones before the tutorials a few times on my own, and watched some other tutorials. That's why it's so "smooth". Otherwise it's also for me a lot of try & error and figuring things out. Enjoy your day
I am a Chinese watcher and this software is very rare and hard to find in mainland China. Thank you very much for the tutorial, I learned a lot from it, thank you very much. The instructional video of this software makes me very happy, very surprised, very amazing, you are a glowing person. My political position is a democratic society, China is a dictator, no rule of law , no human rights.
I should thank you even more, you are a particularly optimistic person, your course, every lesson can feel your optimism and friendliness Passionate warmth, speak very carefully, very patient, shortcuts are also said very clearly, I see very good understanding, from which learning progress a lot, I am very grateful to you inside. Since I'm in China, a country that is decoupled from the world, I can't do much but give you my compliments. May joy and happiness and warmth be with you always.@@nikita.kapustin
Your comment and your warmth gave me a smile on my face. I really appreciate your kind words! That means a lot to me and I am really happy that my excitement affects your learning experience. All the best to you!
Because optimism, smiles, and friendliness bring warmth ah so of course it's a great experience, emotions are contagious. Haha good morning, your habits are so good, you get up early, I will learn more from you, have a nice and pleasant day!@@nikita.kapustin
Awesome tutorial, as per usual, Nikita! Btw, around the 12 minute mark where you were guess-timating the size of the cylinder, you could still use the front/right reference image to get the size, by creating the circle over it and then hitting V to flip it between horizontal and vertical orientation. Pretty handy for getting the height and diameter correct, and if you have a 2nd reference pic you can probably nail the exact position too. Edit: lol, never mind - I see you caught on right after :P It's crazy how good it looks just when lofting between the two open holes between the body and the cylinder!
Hey @nikitakapustin when you do Shift+I click on Hide Occlusion in the sub menu so you will not have the project of the cut curves on the opposite side! Awesome surface modeling tutorial, I bought the Helmet tutorial! 2023 Plasticity is such a blessing for 3D modeling!
So useful tip!! Tried it out and will give my best to change that habbit :D Greta to have you as a student. I hope you learn a lot and get results you are proud of!:)
interesting tutorial, i still have the 1.0 demo installed (it says 30 days but there's no time limit), i'm waiting for the oficial release of 1.3 with the blender bridge before i buy a license, I'm not really good with blender (I honestly end up ragequitting every time i try it, i'm not a shortcuts guy), but i may force myself to learn it. My only real issue with plasticity is that the Y/Z up orientation can't be changed.
Yeah I can imagine that those shortcuts are a lot in the beginning. But once you got comfortable with Plasticity you will use just ~5 same shortcuts over and over again. It's not that many honestly. Just practice, work on some projects and create new neural connections.
Not sure what the functionality differences could be, but there are simple steps I'm trying to duplicate that do nothing or don't work as expected. Shft-f does nothing, and when I shft-click to place a point, then a second for a curve... (as you do at first about 5 minutes in) when I right click, the first point jumps, does not stay on the axis/maintain tangency... on 1.1.0.

this feels like a paid course. Thanks Nikita bro!
просто большой молодец, я за последние пару месяцев полюбил plasticity и во многом благодаря тебе

Oh didn't know that. That's awesome, thanks for mentioning!
Thanks for the tutorial, your loft works mine does not. it gives error. any hint why it might be?

your passion for tangency is awesome! really appreciate these vids, wild how quickly you can sketch something so well.

Great to have people watching from China :)
Thanks for your kind words & feedback. I appreciate a lot and wish you a lot of fun learning Plasticity

great subject choice for a tutorial! im always stumped by these kinds of shapes
Yeah agree! organic/surface shapes are just super interesting & challenging!:)
I'd love to see a videogame controller tutorial btw, cos they have a ton of organic shapes, mixed with some flat surfaces.
Awesome as always, thank you.
Thanks again for your support 🥇

Awesome! Please make a tutorial on properly UV'ing this
I never UV unwrap anything. Especially this model there is literally no need at all to unwrap anything.
Great Tutorial, many thanks!!
You are welcome!
In Rhino I do Not have to cut circles, I can use snapping at quats, is there no similar function in plasticity?

Lofts are magic
I know right! Still fun after doing it 10000 times
Great Tutorial
Glad it was helpful!
Благодарочка)

Please update to 1.2.
From 1.2 and above there are significant improvement in surface modeling
please make organic car modelling tutorial。
У тебя очень классный английский) Где и как ты его учил/учишь?
Спасибо
