I've made a similar thing with red lentils. I soak them for 3 hours before blending. I cook them in a hot pan wiped with oil with a paper towel. I toast them when I eat them. I used to put almond butter and tomato on them. I've been avoiding nut butter though since they are high in fat. This is the first video I've seen of yours. I've subscribed. :)
@@veryveganval Awesome! It does break easily, though. I soak the lentils 3 hours , rinse, then add almost a cup of water and blend. I heat the pan hot, I put a bit of oil on the pan and wipe it around with paper towel until you don't see it. When water drops start rolling on the pan, it's ready.
❤ This wrap is a blank canvas that one can create their signature flavor! You could flavor the water with tea, like chai, and make a dessert type wrap. And, as you said, the spices...Italian, chili powder, garlic, cinnamon, curry, the list is immense. Create and have fun people....
Hey! Great idea! Always nice to see more vegan recipes 💕 If I may give you advice (please don’t consider me rude), I think you only may improve your thumbnail for this video. It’s third time UA-cam suggested me to watch it, but I decided to enter it only now, because before I was scrolling and saw you with a cup of something. Only now I actually read the title, so I understood it might be something interesting for me. If you had a pic with already made wraps and maybe a zoomed image of oats it would be visually more understandable and catchy (but it’s only my opinion, I’m not a UA-cam guru lol) Anyway thanks for your video and good luck 👍🏻
@@-johnny-deep- get oat-ta here with those puns! I think you could make pretty good pancakes that way, you might also want to add a little less water so the batter is thicker
I've never tried it myself, but I imagine it would work just fine. Keep in mind that oat flour is more dense than dried oats, so you will need less of it. About 2/3 of a cup should be roughly equal to one cup of oats.
@@AnniCarlsson Hi Anni- I've only ever seen vegan corn myself. Oat wraps are also fun, variety is the spice of life, and we encourage positivity and trying different ways of doing things.
@@judyhoomalamalama They definitely are not meant to be the most flavorful thing, as they are a wrap that's then filled with other things. In the video I mentioned you could customize it to include spices and flavors that you like, which is perhaps a tip you could benefit from.
Will try them with the regular beans and brown rice. Thanks!
Hope you enjoy

Thanks for subscribing Bonnie- I'll have to try the lentil version next!

I love the idea of flavoring the water with tea- so creative!

Nice. *And that's a *wrap* "! I suppose if you add some baking powder to the mixture, you could make some pretty easy pancakes?

@@veryveganval Yup. And I think I'd probably use unsweetened soy milk instead of water for some extra protein.
Not sure if you mentioned but can these wraps be frozen?
They should freeze fine, just make sure you let them cool fully before freezing in a single layer.
I'm not nutty enough to be vegan but I love oat bread. Those wraps look like chapatis. Thanks for the recipe!!
@@peterpiper487 enjoy!
Doesn't take nuttiness, takes compassion!
is it possible to just use oat flour rather than blending oat flakes?

Hi Andrea- I've never tried, let us know if you give it a shot!
They look like Staffordshire oat cakes.
I think they're pretty much the same thing, but we don't have Staffordshire oat cakes where I live
@@veryveganval as far as I’m aware, they’re only available in Staffordshire, UK but that’s what your recipe reminded me of.
so corn is not vegan any more?

I’ve made these many times n they r tasteless . Sad .
