FS2020 World's Most Dangerous Airstrips Idaho Edition

- Part 1 of the World's Most Dangerous Airstrips featuring 7 private ranch airstrips (starting in Lower Loon, Flying B Ranch, Soldier Bar, Taylor Ranch, Cabin Creek, Vines Airstrip, and Cold Meadows) in Idaho while flying the Cessna 208B (hoping for a Kodiak soon in MSFS). Most of these are along the Salmon River and are difficult to access except by air.

Depart C53 Lower Loon Creek

12ID Flying B Ranch

85U Soldier Bar

09ID Taylor Ranch

I08 Cabin Creek

I98D Vines Airstrip

arrival at KCHL Challis Airport (Cold Meadows).
Maintain own altitude based on each airstrips elevation found when selecting airport details on the MSFS map. I maintained 1,000ft AGL above each following airstrip when possible.

The caravan looks to be a winner. I just ordered ny new computer (i7-10700kf, rx 6700xt 12g vram, 32gb on mobo). Looking forward to doing bush flying.
Oh nice that looks to be a winner! I’ve got the 10700k myself and absolutely love it. You’ll have no problem running MSFS with that setup. I made this video with a i7 4790k and it was still smooth flying. The Caravan is amazing, even if it’s not the most popular.

Thanks bud I appreciate that! VR in the sim is going to be incredible, especially with low level bush flying.
I did actually set up a plan starting from Lower Loon Creek with the arrival at Cold Meadows (MSFS has it labelled as Challis Airport) then added all the airstrips in between. It’s surprisingly only a 30 minute flight plan if you don’t do any touch and go’s.

I’m a little late on the conversation! One of my favorite places to fly! Are you using any mod for the Cessna 208?
At the time of making this video I wasn’t but I am now. Currently this mod works great at addressing some issues with the flight model

How does your Vines airstrip not have the trees at the end of the runway?
It was an addon once upon a time, roughly 3 years ago when this video was made. I don't see it on flightsim.to anymore so I think it's safe to assume that it's no longer supported anyways and would cause problems.
