Great Video. What is the maximum size of phone, in terms of the dimensions and not the weight. Also I assume that when you were showing the use of the App this was with an iPhone, how much of this is available with an Android phone?

Thanks for the video. You mentioned that in the Cami App, the hand gesture can be used to Start "and Stop" recording. I am able to start the video but the same gesture cannot stop the recording. Am I doing it wrong? Which gesture did you use to stop the recording? Thank you.
I just bought the DJI OM5 last week. It’s pretty much exactly the same - but it has this awesome magnet on the clip which makes it easy to remove the phone quickly. Also the DJI is more expensive by 30%
What about the angles of tilt ? Are you happy with that also?

You can start and stop recording using the gimbal in filmic pro 👍🏻
Can you make a crane shot with it? I mean pan forward from bottom (ground level) to top holding gimball normally (not upside down), not like in DJI OM6 where you have to handle gimball sideway.

Hello. Smooth Q4 is a gimbal for starters, but Smooth 5 is a more professional gimbal for smartphones, because it can allow movements in all angles.

Hey, Do you mind recommending a gimbal that reduces noise and shaking\stuttering as much as possible while recording? I, unfortunately, find with my current gimbal that the video footage is very shaky sadly. It doesnt help that my hands are also naturally shaky so my footage doesnt look all that great.
The DJI OM5 or the Zhiyun Smooth Q4 are great gimbals that will help reduce the shakiness i your video. Noise reduction can only be applied in an editing program.

Very informative video! Can you do a proper crane shot with gimbal. In other words, can you stand behind the gimbal and do a crane shot or is the tilt range to limited to do that?

@@sadece27 Hello, yes I bought it and am extremely happy with it. I use a Samsung s20FE and have absolutely no problem balancing it. I place it in the gimbal, turn it on and it's balance. Very simple.

I do like the OM5 extension pole and how smoothly operates. The DJI OM4 has a built in power bank which I really like when traveling for long. I find the OM5 more practical because I can create more unique shots 👍🏻
What about the payload? Can this gimbal handle iPhone 13 pro max with apple case, 283 g total?
It might handle it but it’s best to use it without the case
Hi Leo. The max payload of Smooth Q4 is 280g, but ti also can support iPhone 13 pro max in our official compatibility list.

As far as I can see the smooth q4 is smaller and portable which it’s suitable for life short video recording and it has an extension rod. ZY Cami app for Q4.
smooth 4 can adjust the parameter on gimbal which has more buttons than Q4. ZY Play app for control.
Do you know if Zhiyun is coming out with a newer smooth Q series, after the smooth Q4? Have any inside info?

I have Samsung S22 Ultra, which is Android. I need portable gimbal and can not decide which should I go with: Q4 or OM6? What you would choose if you would be in my shoes? At least DJI is not very compatible with Android phones. Hard to decide :)

Thats true, when it comes to portability and quick setup time the the OM6 is a great choice.
I got the mirrored-look image of the pictures or videos taken with the front/selfie camera with the ZY camera app. Any solution.
It's not solved yet, but you can shoot with a native camera.
As long as you can use the volume key to control the native camera to take photos and videos, the gimbal Bluetooth connection, you can also control the native camera to take photos and videos.

I bought this gimbal but it doesn't work. It never put my Iphone 14 pro in the right direction or angle to shoot. It moves in random angles or position and my phone is never well placed to shoot. I try to understand what is the problem, me or the gimbal.

Excellent video, thank you. I just bought the Smooth Q4 (first gimble) and am learning how to use it, so this is very helpful. Quick question though - how do I switch to shooting video in 1:1 aspect ratio for social ads like Facebook reels?
You can either use the filmic pro app which allows you to film in different aspect ratio or you can film the video in a 9:16 format and use InShot to crop the top and bottom in a 1:1 format.

i have an pixel 6 pro. i use it with a case. the weight with case is 264 grams. The dimensions of the phone in the case are 3.23 x 6.67 x 0.49 inches (8.2 x 16.94 x 1.24 cm). Can i use this Gimbal with the phone in the case?
It will work but i recommend not using the case

@@tiburonespr When connected via Bluetooth, SMOOTH 5S is able to control the native phone camera without ZY Cami/StaCam app. This function is available with a mobile phone which supports photo-taking using the volume button.
is there a way to manually horizontal calibrate for this gimbal?
You can use Zhiyun Calibration and Upgrading Tool to apply six-side calibration for your gimbal.
@@zhiyunsupportglobal706 so there is no option to manually til left and right to calibrate horizontally. like the DJI mimo app has. this is ridiculous.
Also can't control how fast or slow the gimbal follows your hand movement. Can only modify joystick movement.
I personally think it is very inferior to DJI's software

Both of the rubber phone grippers became unglued on mine within 6 months of use (one was lost) Without these grippers you cannot properly attach your phone. I requested a replacement gripper from Zhiyun without a response so far. This is a basic design error. I was enjoying the gimbal until this happened.

I'll tell ya the BIGGEST reason I chose Zhiyun is the security risks... It's gotta be taken into consideration that their apps aren't available in Google Play or iTunes stores... I just wish the Q4 had two way charging like the Smooth 4
