Nice work. You are a real pro. And, glad Tim is around. He seems like a genuine, good guy. Treat him with respect. Good help is hard to come by and people usually quit employers, not the job.
Lol, Just knew the next video was going to start with a ''Am I going the right way'' joke. Easy mistake even a keyboard expert will have made at some point but full respect for showing and having a laugh about it rather than editing it out to pretend everything's perfect. Do more of these Chris and Tim service/Repair videos.
Tim ain't no quitter, he was gonna get that drain plug done one way (heh) or another. Joking aside, he seems like very good people indeed and also puts up with camera shenanigans.
I like how the young bloke is keen to get in there, old guy is happy pulling levers and getting the job done with not stress. All I know is that if a machine breaks its back you just buy a new one.
Most are gunna say you could Done it faster by hand , those same people will have back problems by 45, anytime you can use a machine to do a job do it and save the man power . Your right about the smart way . It may take longer but it's the best way to do it.
You did a fantabulous job of putting on the new track for the guy, but you forgot to take the little tag off of it. Or did you leave it there on purpose, for extra traction?
Well now , there's two kinds of people in this world talkers and doers. The the talkers talk about Woulda Shoulda Coulda ect. Then there are the doers who get her done, while the talkers are still talking. You my man are a doer, yet you're able to do it talk about it and on top of that filmit. I'd say that that puts you at the top of the totem pole. Thanks for all your effort love your videos as I was a Excavating contractor retired now, I never miss a day and I agree with your moves 98% of the time. Probably because I've been there and done that, which is experienced operator thinking . LOL
That is what friends are for. Nice work putting on the track. I was thinking you needed the 18" all along. LOL Not really. Tim made an easy mistake that I bet everyone who has ever turned a wrench has made. They just didn't do it on youtube where everyone is a genius and a smart donkey.
Chris you should feel lucky to have all these mechanics on here giving you free advice on how to be more efficient! 😂😂 great job it’s always a pain when it’s on the jobsite. But that looked to go pretty smooth
Damn! Chris! I have watched other U tubers put mini tracks on and they had pry bars and come alongs and took a lot longer than you did and you did it with your mini and no help. You really are a Pro!
Good job. Got mad at myself recently: springs fell off suspension seat on one of my tractors. Had a spare frame and thought was to swap cushions. Bolt pattern didn't fit of course to tried to put springs back on and couldn't figure it out to save my life so ordered another seat.$98.00 on Amazon. New seat arrived and before installing it I looked at springs again. Hmmmmm, looks like if I lift the seat the springs would easily slide on:and of course they did. Now have a spare seat... Sometimes you see something but you really don't see it.All this was over 3 freaking weekends.Been turning a good wrench for probably 45 years now and we all have those oh crap moments.
Great video Chris ;) as always ... there's gonna be "Experts" out there that can do it faster, better & easier ! Definition of an "Expert" > "X" is an unknown quantity & a "spurt" is a drip under pressure !
I like the (shade tree mechanic ) comment . I also can reversed my bucket on my cat 302.5 . Works great for digging under footings. Keep the good videos coming.
Ive had to put tracks back on many times on both my excavator and skid loader. I work in sandy ground with alot of rocks, and it doesn't take much to throw a track. when you get a rock between the track
Well that saved the guy some money on a service call with you doing it, Now we got one has problems undoing stuff, one that needs hair painting round the hole to find the right spot , and what could possibly go wrong if you Tim and Justin made movies all together. You know what I don't want to know, it would just be hilarious i'm sure L.O.L. Just bugging ya, we all have bad days fixing stuff. Thanks for the video ,Take care.
That gehl mini looks just like one of mine when I put a track on the one side of it I didn’t have another excavator to help put it on was a lot more difficult
Chris, Throw a UA-cam subscribers party at your place for New year's. We could all bring the beer. You can open the bottles.....with the mini of course
You made it look easy. I was yelling at the screen last video watching him tighten instead of loosen but no harm was done so who cares. Keep the videos coming
Sounds like you are getting a bit sensitive to criticism of your young offsider. I still don't know how that sump plug didn't strip after going more than a turn in the wrong direction.
That has a teflon/copper washer type seal correct? Very likely it compressed the softer seal material. Being it had a lot of thread contact it didn't strip. Not like a typical oil pan where there are only 3-4 threads in the pan.
@Control technology Im a mechanic mate, so as soon as I saw it going in the wrong direction it felt like somebody was pulling one of my teeth out with a pair of pliers ( a bit dramatic yes I know ) Anyway sounds like no damage done. I have seem a lot on mangled drain plugs over the years and some are quite a soft spot for damage and take a bit to repair.
I don’t have any opinions on how you could’ve done it better. Probably because I don’t know enough to have an opinion. I’m just along for the ride and appreciate the content.
Also the video that I have planned for you should happen any day now. I’m just waiting on the toys store to get the truck in so I can grab it. I’m hoping they will have it before Black Friday.
Tim don't worry about it, I always screw up righty tighty, lefty loosely when upside down. Also always listen to the guy running the machine, not the guys in their recliners at home.

Looks like you guys did it the smart and easy way using the other machine. Those tracks are damn heavy!
Most are gunna say you could Done it faster by hand , those same people will have back problems by 45, anytime you can use a machine to do a job do it and save the man power . Your right about the smart way . It may take longer but it's the best way to do it.
@@markk6957 yes sir those are heavy
You are one hell of an operator. I miss doing that.
Actually we just want to see Tim stay clean one time and you to get dirty lol

Keep the price tag on it and it will stay newer longer. Lol
I enjoy and have learned a lot, don't worry what people say,
Everyone has their opinions. But no one has a UA-cam channel to show how perfect they are. Keep doing what your doing. And keep going the right way.
Great timing Tim, that was exactly what everyone was thinking too.
Really? 249 views and only 29 likes? Come on people, give em the thumbs up. Do it.
Epic touch, just like pickin up dimes with a forklift, and it's bands on my Model T, thanks for the fun

Almost as fast as NASCAR! Good job!

I have a io 15 Yanmar what brand tracks are good ? Nice video thanks.
I'm glad you use your Milwaukee Airless Grease Gun on tensioner.
there is always a fan in the stands that can do it better, but you will never get them to lay the hot dog down and come and show ya.

It would seem that 'our' Chris, has done this a time or two before.
Well done, good job.
Good use of tools around you. Great video bro
At least Tim got the rightie-tight lefty -loosy thing figured out... :-)
Well Chris , I couldn't have even done it,so GOOD JOB,
I like the (shade tree mechanic ) comment .
I also can reversed my bucket on my cat 302.5 . Works great for digging under footings. Keep the good videos coming.
I used the same method putting tracks on my craftsman push mower😎
Very good operator skills
That looks a lot harder than you make it look Chris good work
Ive had to put tracks back on many times on both my excavator and skid loader. I work in sandy ground with alot of rocks, and it doesn't take much to throw a track. when you get a rock between the track
Maintenance videos are awesome 👍
Tim put the track on backwards...j/k. You guys rock
And then the definition of irony...the track breaks on the Yanmar...lol
I always learn something on your videos, thanks
I’ll buck the trend; that would have taken me two days to do.
Just shows your human we all make honest mistakes. Keep up the good work guys
That was slicker than a minnows gube you are the man.
Easy peacy good works as usual

You did that exactly right. 😉
Replaced a full size steel track with your mini. Now that would be talent😂
He knows his stuff no playing around on that sh**.good job.tks gary
A job well done!
That gehl mini looks just like one of mine when I put a track on the one side of it I didn’t have another excavator to help put it on was a lot more difficult
That was quick and good now it's ready to tear up the other side LOL
Steek tracks on your Volvo when you are in the middle of the river can be a challenge.
How about my Troybilt? Lol Good job!
That went pretty quick nice job 👍👍how many pounds one track
Was that a left hand or right hand track
Chris,
Throw a UA-cam subscribers party at your place for New year's. We could all bring the beer. You can open the bottles.....with the mini of course
Make it a contest the only way you get to drink your beer is if you open it with the mini yourself, this would make for some good entertainment.
@@rick8910 I'd be sober for sure
If totally be there
Well done!!
Good job. 👍🇵🇪
Put a piece of cardboard inside the hole to catch all the grease before pushing the idler wheel in. Makes for a lot less mess.
So many mistakes .....so little time ! j/k great job .it tickles me to see so many youtube critics gathered in one spot !
What brand of auto grease pump do you have?
And thats the way to do that instead of fighting with it !
Seems all the armchair mechanics have already covered everything, so I’ll just say hello! 😁
You made it look easy. I was yelling at the screen last video watching him tighten instead of loosen but no harm was done so who cares. Keep the videos coming
Looks good to me
You need a toy dragline to go with your collection, lol.
How long did that take from start to finish?
Well done boys.
Good job 👍🏻
Forget the negative geniuses. They probably couldn't dig asquare hole in a pasture
I could've done it quicker, just lettin you do it.....lol. Thanks for the video.
I THINK THATS A PRETTY DAMN QUICK, I COULDNT PULL IT OFF
Nice...!!!! ( nope... I just watch and drink coffee!! )
When you change track... should you also change idlers???
On an idle whim you could, but only one time in 8.57 track changes. Those wheels, being born idle take a lot of rests.
I've always been told to replace sprockets with new tracks. Well he just wanted a new truck. Wala!
Yes also replace your wheel bearings when you put on new tires
Thought you'd put the track on upside down there for a start, but I guess you have to do it that way (upside down) in the northern hemisphere. ;-)
No, actually that was much quicker than manhandling it on.
ted coffman that tells me you’ve done it before by hand. They’re heavy as shit
Great work!!!! ....13
No draglines were injured in the making of this film
Hey Chris, Logger Wade would of put it on with the din din lmfao
We understand Tim, he just thinks he's a superhero.
You are da man Christopher good job. Opinions are like assholes everybody has one!!!
Putting the bucket on Timmy style lol
I woodah dun dunnded et thet one dunnded whay. Woodah dunt et fustar. Lol love you videos and your commentary.
What brand rubber you using
Hell, I figured it was just an excuse to break out the new bucket!
I'd have done the same thing though !!!
How much does the belt weigh?
Just fucking with ya bro love the videos
Good job man .
It's time for a inspection on your mini to much play when you do bucket changes
What he didnt show was them carrying that track to the machine from the service truck guess the wieght people
I think you should of checked the rollers on the bottom
Can you wrap a Christmas gift with that machine too
I bet you he could, but he's not too good at removing the tag first, if you noticed....
@@stanpatterson5033 yea I saw that
I think that I could do it quicker I would say hold my beer and just watch lol
Sounds like you are getting a bit sensitive to criticism of your young offsider. I still don't know how that sump plug didn't strip after going more than a turn in the wrong direction.
musta been loose and he just tightened it up

Chris must be a union worker
So is Tim your only employee
For the love of God tell timmy lefty loosey righty tighty.
He did,...but even Chris was thinking backwards too,...he can't think 'upside down' it would seem. Hahaha! But he did git er dun!
I've seen him take tires of a mobile home now he's putting on a new trac with an escalator.
Deep down he's bored and learning how to change tires
Chris didnt want Timmy to help just to make himself look like hes a good operator or somthing hahaha just messing
What ever it takes.
Tim don't worry about it, I always screw up righty tighty, lefty loosely when upside down. Also always listen to the guy running the machine, not the guys in their recliners at home.
Would logger wade approve this? Maybe he would learn something new. Lol I know you to have friendly banter going back and forth.
track is directional and of course on backwards!!!!
jesse dont right.
