Flowmaster Dbx and Pro series mufflers on turbo 4cylinder

- Decided to give Flow Master mufflers a try on my 98 turbo cry and buddy's 98 civic coupe turbo. With A lot of the mufflers out I hated that it sounded really raspy and high pitched. Which a lot of peopled call it ricey. With the Flow master mufflers with the laminar flow technalogy it gave them a real rich nice deep tone. Both me and my buddy liked the tone both inside and out of the vehicle. I would definately recommend them.

Did your crv have a 3” resonator as well as the pro series 3” muffler?

i have a 91 nissan pulsar gti-r doing a full turbo back 3'' custom exhaust. which one would have a more deep sound like the one on the crv?
JEREMY RAGAN yes!! I would go with the pro series, that sounded deeper to me on vehicles installed.. Also had a deep tone on v8’s
ThatKcrv thanks for the reply. I’m debating running strait pipes all the way to the muffler. I already don’t have a cat but do have a resonator on my current exhaust which is only 2.5 from the turbo back. How much louder you think it would be without that resonator ?
JEREMY RAGAN It will be decently louder. I would recommend keeping the resonator unless you don’t mind some drone “interior noise”. The resonator help as well keeping that deeper tone.
I gotta say, love that crv build wouldn't expect a crv to spool on me and that civic sounded nice
But I have to ask, is it still quite with the windows down? What's the full exhaust setup?
It was decently quiet where it didn’t bother my wife and son in the car. Well unless I got on it, but was mostly when the wastegate would open that it was loud. I have a full 3” exhaust with vibrant ultra quiet and flowmaster pro series

@@aaronbargas8771 I would give the dbx a try by just changing your muffler. Now if you want it a little louder you can remove your resonator if it’s aloud in your state. That muffler has sounded really good with all the vehicles we have used it with.

Russ Penman in this situation yes because he is running a 2.5 exhaust system. If he had a 3” it would be a little louder then the pro series since it is a smaller case. You can do the dbx or even the 50 delta flow which sounds really good on the jeeps and is quiet as well
There's something wrong with the turbo in the crv..... even at idle it should still be spinning....

Nick Dunn yes!! Had a friend with a 94 integra auto though install a dbx and it sounded really good.. nothing loud or exaggerated..

cory brearley he has a cutout with a slightly aggressive cams. So if you are all stock you will most likely have a different tone

Broken NA8 yes, it was pretty loud.. it lowered it a good amount and gave it a really deep tone

Broken NA8 I still did get some interior noise but it wasn’t bad.. it is a full 3” system if it was a smaller pipe size it would be really quiet..

Did u have a resonator delete? And did u just buy a muffler or the whole system?
Derek Mac I have a vibrant ultra quiet resonator and did my own exhaust system with a universal muffler.
How bad was the drone when you drove?

My import has more torque than horsepower. But according to many videos that research power, it's the horsepower that matters for speed. Good power 👍
horsepower is derived by torque.. if the torque is above 5252rpm then it'll make more horsepower. horsepower really means nothing. The torque curve is where the power is at. So on a car that makes more horsepower than torque, it's above the 5252 crossover point.
