Nice and clear. I'm planning to make some cupboard/storage under the bedroom bay window - will use this vid as a reference guide. Sharing the typical dims you use is helpful - other on UA-cam don't always do this👍(Router Table).
When I'm doing the glue up I mark the positions of the rails on the styles so as to centre the panel into the styles. This makes it a lot easier to put the rails in place without pushing everything out of square or at least that's what I find..I like your installation jig ...I'll definitely be making one of those👍👍
Router Table. Just found your channel, great explanation of the process, I’m going to see if you have a video now of finishing the cupboard with paint or whatever. My garage is full at present ( we’re doing an extension ) but I’d like to make some cabinets for my tools and general garage things with a worktop to finish when hopefully after Christmas the builders have finished. Thanks
nice job 👍 could you substitute the mdf tenons and use expanding foam instead - when its in the clamp? Foam seems to be used for fixing skirting/panels etc has a great grab strength and sets quick then trim off afterwards and can be painted, it would spread to grab the panel corner in the groove as well!
Another good video Lewis Makes life easy if you got the kit like routertable I've always wanted to know how you fixed the plate on the carcase side have a good evening 👍
Another great video with lots of information very interesting to watch, when fitting the hinges you came in 22.5 mm is that the standard measurement, again thanks for sharing very helpful, Router Table.
Hi buddy, thanks for watching as usual, yes 22.5mm is the standard measurement for these type of hinges. As far as I’m aware this is standard for all concealed hinges. Certainly all the ones I’ve tried anyway 🍻
Router table. What a lovely video. Here is a man who is a master of his work and has a real ability to teach. Sure, there is some waffle and some unnecessary repetition, but overall this is a class act, honest, good eye contact, confident and clear. Well done, your channel will go as far as you want it! Liked and subscribed.
Cheers Ben, I really appreciate the feedback and the constructive criticism. Really glad to have your on board and hopefully I can’t help you along the way 🍻
Hi Lewis, great video, i have a question about your trend router table, mine dont have a router lift for adjusting which is a bit of a pain, whats your one called, did it come with your table?, are they easy to add on. keep those vids coming.
Router table. Thank you for this video. I was wondering if it was possible to make these doors completely out of MDF and this video answered that question. I was concerned with plywood warping. I'm not sure if I can do the routing. In that case, do you think a half inch MDF panel with quarter inch MDF rails and styles glued on top would work instead? They would need to be edge banded, of course. Or maybe I need to buy a router and bits and make a router table! With MDF, are there any issues with screws getting loose? Saving to Pinterest for when I'm ready.
If you check out my video on making alcove shelves and units I do the doors this way, also I have a video on making a small router table buddy, loads of options, just need to find the right one for you, thanks for the support buddy ! Really appreciate it
Just one query regarding mdf use. I see a lot of cabinet doors made of mdf in kitchens. As it’s a very porous product what can I do to minimise water ingress besides just painting. I have 30 kitchen doors and drawer front to make. I did notice that you used mr mdf for your centre piece and normal mdf for your frame. Just with the current cost of wood I had planed and costed solid wood for the frames and plywood for the centre, but mdf seems to be a cheaper option. This will be my first major job and as stated any help with prepping the mdf to try and minimise water problems prior to undercoat and painting.
Hi David, I would use mr mdf door in kitchens or bathrooms, using standard mdf will I eventually take on moisture no matter what finish you use on it unfortunately, solid wood is a good option but you will always see grain though the paint finish, mr mdf would best best in your situation buddy 🍻
@LTWCarpentry don't get a chance to make many units to be honest but deffo enjoy it and enjoy it more when I pick up bits of info from experienced guys like you 😘😘
Thanks for this, will use this technique for the potting bench I am make for my wife. Will have a draw and a cabinet door

Would a biscuit be ok instead of the loose tenens or are they to week
Yes biscuits would work well, I would say NO.20 ones would be too big, I would try NO.0’s
@LTWCarpentry thanks pal much appreciated thanks pal ill give them a try
Router table.
Is there a cheap jig I can buy for getting the big hinge holes in the right position?
Cheers andy, yes mate have a look at the kreg concealed hinge jig
Router table. 👌🏻
Cheers buddy 🍻
When you said 22.5 mm from the edge of the cupboard, did you get that measurement from measuring the edge of the hinge to the round section of it?
No the measurement comes from the centre of the door to the centre of the round bit
Great video
Cheers Mohammed 🍻
Router table, nice insight mate
Thanks Tony, much appreciated 👍🍻
Router table 😊 wicked video babe ❤️xxxx
Thank you babes ! And thanks for helping with the thumbnail 🍻xxxx
Could you avoid those gaps with tenons, I mean to shorten the cut so you don't need to fill it?
Yes you could but the loose tenons add a lot of strength to the door so it’s worth putting them in 🍻
Nice one Lewis a very well explained tutorial or making the doors 👌🏻 Nice Router Table 😁👍🏻
Thanks buddy for your comment its much appreciated 🍻👍
Great video mate 👌 router table all the way
Thanks Brian for your comment 👍🍻 much appreciated

Nice video. That style of door was around before the shaker movement. The English joiners would refer to as square and sunk.
That’s interesting to know Jim, every day is a school day as they say ! Thanks for watching 🍻

Thanks Kevin 👍🍻

Do you use a French cleat to hang the cabinet?
Cheers,
Ryan
Hi Ryan, thanks for your comment, I didn't this time I just screwed through the back, I hope that helps 👍🍻
I got the same yellow combi square from axminster! Love it but the spirit level is shite!
Yeah it’s a great square ain’t it, especially for the money, In my experience the levels on combo squares are abit gimmicky, I never trust them 😂
nice video
Thanks for your comment Glenn 👍🍻
Router Table... What paint do you recommend for finishing the MDF for kitchen cabinets
Hiya buddy, thanks for your comment, I use acrylic undercoat and primer, hope that helps 👍🍻
