I’m in the fleet and honestly bootcamp was easy and also A-School was the easiest as well but once you get to the fleet.. YOU-ARE-ON-YOUR-OWN, you gotta set up everything yourself but don’t get it wrong some people will help you out ngl but most of the time it’s all on you. One more thing when you get to the fleet, you ain’t gotta call people by their ranks, people hate when you call them by their ranks, except for your CMC, CO, and XO (just call them sir/ma’am)
Graduated January 25th now at A school, honestly bootcamp is not that bad.you’re most likely gonna hate a couple people in your division processing or p-days is gonna suck like he said in the video it’s more mental than anything and physically don’t underestimate it especially the run but if you’re fit already then you’ll be good. You will most likely get sick in there a lot of people in my division had pneumonia, the flu, stress fractures etc. not trying to scare you man but I wish somebody would’ve told me about certain things. It’ll be a lot matching and moving around so make sure when you go to your first NEX run in bootcamp (get shoe soles) for your boots and especially the go fasters because they will fuck up your feet.you’ll be good man, good luck!
Not navy but air force I've had family in the Navy and a navy brat. Congratulations my brother I'm from Wisconsin that cold is serious! You killed extremely proud of you! 💪👏
main thing you really have to know in bootcamp is to have fun and stay motivated yes it’ll suck but once u graduate it’ll all be worth it, bootcamp is the easy part, makes u become social cause you’ll have to make friends to make it go faster💪🏽
I’m 21 from Canada, currently at my lowest point in my life but I’ve been training and currently plan on joining the Canadian armed forces or joining some sort of Navy program. But will it be worth it? I know I’ll be a better man when I get it done and over with. There ain’t nothing to prove where I’m living, I need a challenge in my life and joining the military has always been a dream of mine. And I’m mentally prepared to put myself into that position that will change my life.
Thank you sooo much, my grandson just when in the navy December 10, 2024, and he start boot camp January 13, 2025 I am so worried about how he going to do in there, one good thing he can swim and he always ran and exercise so that in his favor, I told him I seem a lot of video where the chief hollering in your face. so I told him that he got to be strong, because they have to get that civilian out of him. this will be a change for his good because these streets try and will take our your men's, God bless you, and blessings always young man.
Great video, I feel like it would be easier to pay attention without music or lower volume as it kind of masks the sound of your voice, anyways great video thank you for the information and your service😊
im looking to go in the Navy. I am working on losing weight first ( rather not make bootcamp more of a hell than it needs to be ). Plus, I am weighing in at 289lbs. im a 24 year old guy.. I am also still deciding what rate i wanna do. so many choices lol. useful video.
I have a question, do you go straight to your first base after AIT or do you have to go on leave before your first base station? And what’s the difference between the barracks and your first duty station or is that the same thing?
I was sexually assaulted by a drill sergeant in AIT they tried to medically chapter me I didn’t want to do it because i knew it would be on my record and wouldn’t be able to re enlist so I told them chapter 11 me now I’m joining the navy and leave for A school in 2 weeks don’t gotta go through boot camp again
It’s gonna be hell for me physically, I used to be in shape before COVID hit but than I got fat and lazy. I’ve been in DEPs for the last few months and I’ve lost like 30 pounds but I’m out of condition cause I had a surprise surgery and that pushed my ship date back and it sucks, I ship on Thursday. At least it’ll be fun

You can choose to take leave before you go to your command if you want to. the barracks is some where you live next to your command
Recruiter said I most likely will ship out in June if I pass Meps I’m 32 years old 😂
Hey brother shipping out june 17th!
How long did it take for them approve medical papers for physical ?
not long
I believe grown men cry because they hear their babies voices
What happens if you have extra money on your card after boot camp

i’m so sorry I hope you get/got justice
I ship out in July is bootcamp as harsh as everybody make it seem ?
Navy Boot is the most simple imo, literally just work as a team and do what you’re told.
no just stay lowkey do what your told and try to get a leadership role because you will get promoted in the end
Make sure you work on your pushups, planks, and run time other than that it’s all mental and just prepare for all the yelling.
Hey do they let y’all chill with family for a little bit after graduation basic training in Chicago?
Can you swim however way you want? Do you need to put both arms after one another or can you doggy paddle, underwater, etc
Freestyle, backstroke, and one more that I can’t remember, it’s not that hard
would not recommend doggy paddling , even if it’s allowed
u should learn how to freestyle swim
If you take hygiene items do they let you keep them or do you have to put them in the box.
Do you have to be physically fit before bootcamp? Do a lot of people fail the prts
I've heard there is classroom time during boot camp as well. I hope to ship out next week and wonder what to expect out of the classes.
Don’t fall asleep in class Lmaao and pay attention and take notes because some classes you actually get tested on it…DO NOT SLEEP IN CLASS !!!
What if I live in chicago, do I just go to the airport?
U slow just got to navy office look it up
