  • Small lines feeling a bit too easy now???? Congratulations!! What's next? What comes after the mastery of this small park line??? Check out this video for an in depth buying guide to the realm of longlining. Unlike small lines, these are much longer and are usually rigged in lengths longer than 50 meters. These are many of the same ideas that I was taught when first starting and I think they could help you out as well! With a little bit of practice, you too can make this a second nature thing in your life!

    My personal longline recommendation:
Tree Pro: Two old thick towels or shirts
Static Rope: Sterling 9mm SafetyPro Static Rope

Webbing (USA Only): Balance Community Blue
    www.balancecom...
Soft Release: Any 10-15m length of strong polyester webbing and two stainless steel shackles
Weblock: Spider Slacklines Lime Linelocker (Affordable)

Pulleys: RAED Slacklines BLNC 5:1 Pulleys
    raed-slackline...
    Linegrip: Linegrip G5
    www.linegrip.c...
This is the gear I personally recommend. With certain items such as weblocks and soft releases, I think it's best to go with the most cost effective item since they all essentially do the same thing. With other things such as pulleys and a linegrip, I believe you should spend a little more money to get a quality item that won't be a hassle to use in the park.
The only negative thing that I can think of is that you will get extremely addicted and won't want to do anything else!
I hope this video helps! Please leave a comment with any thoughts or questions :)

Thanks for making these videos! What do you think about the new Infinity tensioning system? I have a primitive 50M set up right now but plan on buying it (available from Spider Slacklines June 9th).

Hi Karl. I’ve personally never used the infinity tensioning system but my good friend Ryan Jenks made a really good video on it in his HowNotToHighline channel 😊
I also have a friend that owns one. His words are “It’s pretty cool but I would not recommend it if you have sewn loops on your webbing. I prefer a nice pulley system.”
