    I gotta ask, what’s your favorite weaving pattern?

    • @treenetweaves
      @treenetweaves 13 годин тому

      I like the insanity method a lot! There’s something really cool about randomness within a weave 😊

  • @ForeignForest_

    how long of strands do you use to weave? or do you weave from the spool?

    • @treenetweaves
      @treenetweaves День тому

      I typically stretch 3-5 arm lengths of cord to weave at a time. Shorter cords are easier to weave in because they tangle less but then you have the drawback of having more ends that you need to cut at the end. It’s Weavers preference reallly 😊

    Is it possible you could link or do a video on where you get the equipment you use, like everything up to your pulley system because there is not enough information and I dont want to buy rope that will degrade outdoors or anything like that, thanks a lot!

    When you lock off the paracord to the skeleton or the perimeter what knot do you use, looks like a round turn two half hitches but can't be too sure!

    About how much 550 paracord should I use for 150 feet of 3/8 static rope

    • @treenetweaves
      @treenetweaves 13 днів тому

      That’s a hard question.. It’s not about the length of static rope but rather the surface area of what you’re weaving. I have articles on this on our website www.treenetweaves.com 😊

    What do you do when you run out of a line of paracord? I'm assuming you are supposed to clove hitch it to the perimeter when you are running out of the line you've cut.

    • @treenetweaves

      You can do that. I also connect a new piece of cord to the existing piece with a double fisherman’s knot 😊

    Super cool to watch. But I'm curious about something when you add a new line. Why constrictor hitch + barrel knot to end and then begin -- rather than something like a double fisherman's? Seems like that'd add less visible knots in the finished dreamcatcher.

    • @treenetweaves
      @treenetweaves 26 днів тому

      Honestly that’s a very good point! My only reasoning for constrictors is that they’re less likely to slide laterally and can grip the static rope better than a double fisherman’s alone. In this case that’s not really much of a concern though so yes 😊
