We have used the ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxOTeIs0vv4_9B5hsmnLsk9r930uDQLu_Y for probably 30 hours with our camper and it’s been great! The noise level is really only noticeable when running the AC and other appliances like the microwave, hair dryer, or coffee pot. It’s not huge like other ones and it has wheels so even at 90lbs, I can move it!
Nice that they finally made the handle fold down, wish they would also add strapping points so you could secure the thing with rachet straps. Both for safety in the event of a rollover accident, but also just to prevent it from getting damaged while you bang around off road.
FYI on powering some devices: you'll get a longer battery runtime if you can use the power source's native USB-A or USB-C outlet instead of using the 120V AC output connected to a power adapter which then connects the device. For example, if charging a MacBook that takes USB-C power use a USB-C to USB-C cable between the Jackery and the Mac. The inverter-power supply setup simply wastes energy.
Huge milestone for the both of you. Not just you have a new home, you also have a new power station. Hoping for more vlogs to come. Stay happy. Best regards and Godspeed.
Hey Nikki, I'm on a six week car tent camping trip out west. I'm camping at National and state parks. I have two Jackeriys and one Bluetti battery for my power needs. The Bluetti is more powerful for less money and is WAY faster in recharging. I do have a Jackery solar panel and it is great. I know you have a sponsor for Jackery but make your next buy Bluetti. Bluetti is way better.
It's so cool to me that companies like Jackery are supporting UA-cam creators. Those companies that recognize their potential markets are going to be the frontrunners for the future of advertising. Rather than get a mild interest based of a commercial, you get your exact client audience every advert. THAT is the definition of personalized ads. And I would much rather see this than something that seems useless to me like 90% of general advertisements.
Nice to find a fellow "Science Geek" that understands "objectives" and "options". Taking "energy in a box" with you that you can 'refill' via panels set in the Sun.
When it comes to lifting anything heavy I've found over the years that all the stretching and limbering up is pointless. Just pulling your Pants up is the secret as demonstrated by Nikki, nice job 😁
Great car. And the battery converter is also interesting. The battery in the car was low, once plugged the cable into the socket and started the car! Great!
I got the Explorer 300 back in February. Worked great for running my laptop during a special event station with my radio club. It lasted all day and didn't drop below 50% both days. My laptop ran for 6 to 8 hours while plugged into it. Just need to buy some solar panels to charge it, or find a chord to charge it with a solar panel I already have (Bioenno 120w Solar Panel). I'm with you on the folding carry handle. Wish my 300 Explorer had a folding carry handle. Other than that, it works out great for what I use it for, powering my laptop while doing portable operations.

It's a bit pricy for my wallet. Water, food, and fuel have taken the top tier in my "needs" list. Thanks for sharing the new Pro 1000!
@@RimdarRanch I have 20/20 vision, 2 Bluetti’s, and 4 Battleborn batteries in a power bank. And 1 Jackery 1000. So Gerald, never underestimate someone that comments.
Build your own with a 100 ah or 200 ah LiFeP04 battery (200 amp output current one instead of 100 amp which is limited to about 1200w output only), 2000w inverter, and an MPPT charge controller. It will last many MANY years longer than the Jackery with lithium ion cells rated at only 500-900 charge cycles to 80% remaining capacity and can be repaired.
@@Banagal Well, it`s great that he commented to remind folks that lithium ion battery packs are outdated, and LiFeP04 not only lasts far longer but is far safer too.
Thank you for the up date. But I have just started following you. Subscribed after watching the second random one. Not in sequence tho. And I have started at the beginning of your vlogs. Power watching as they say. I’m hooked. Hope to catch-up soon.
Its great that these power stations are now on the market. Just a shame jackery are not listening to users. still using bad battery chemistry , should be on lifepo4 cells for extended life cycles. Price is still high and the kicker, slow recharge speeds and propriatry horrid input connectors . I would recommend the new anker power houses oveer the jackeries
Well, their excuse is lithium ion battery packs are lighter. But I`m very disappointed in my heavy HEAVY Bluetti EB70 power stations. They advertize 716 wh and I`m lucky if I get 450wh in real use. Totally inefficient. My 540wh lithium ion battery packs, which were half the price of the EB70s, run my dorm fridge several hours longer, but at least the Bluettis can save my food in the freezer after hurricanes. Another issue is the DC power. When you turn it on to use the ports like USB you aren`t simply using 3 watts to run your light or fan...you just turned on the power hungry wireless charger! YAY! Now my tiny fan uses 20+ watts instead of 3. Great idea! So in only a few days a tiny wattage USB device drains the battery! I have tiny power banks that last as long!
@@ghost70 They sent a free one after I complained. Both of them together are so inefficient that I get a combined output using the AC of less than 900wh. I even bought a second watt meter to be sure it wasn`t a bad one. When I first tested the replacement running my freezer it shut off with a dead battery after 417wh. Another time I might get 480. So I can only guess that the BMS is improperly regulating what`s going on with the charging/discharging of the battery. So if you want to power a 5 cubic ft chest freezer after a hurricane you will need at least two of them. Even running your WIFI from the AC port it only lasts about 24 hours before the inverter drains the thing...and my WIFI only draws about 4 to 7 watts. Using the DC ports isn`t much of an improvement. It`s a terrible design. All the ports have incredible inefficiency. You can leave it connected to a solar panel while it powers your devices (Seller says this damages the battery) or disconnect it and plug it into a gas generator to get it recharged in 3 1/2 hours. But since they limited the solar input current to 8 amps my 200 watt solar panel can only input 150 watts max meaning it will take a long time to charge with solar. Yet another design flaw. So from now on if I need something that works I`ll buy a battery and the right parts to build one. I just bought a 3.8 kwh LiFeP04 battery, inverter, and charge controller so I can build something far better than they sell for FAR cheaper. But it will take time to get all the required parts and extra solar panels. No way would I spend thousands on a ready-made battery box with a 2 year limited warranty that can`t be repaired. I live alone in a camper on disability, no transportation, and spent the last of my savings on this stuff. Some day I may need it for running a window AC to cool off some, cook, heat water for bathing, run an electric blanket, or power a heater on a timer for 15 minutes an hour to keep from freezing. So now I have to teach myself how to be a solar engineer. It`s scary but I have no other option. It`s up to me to prepare and this is very valuable insurance. I have 11 solar power stations, a dozen power banks, rechargeable batteries...lots of prepping gear, and the big battery will cover what the others can`t and provide extra storage in case I need to power my freezer for a week of no sun.
Try looking at the higher power option from PlugOut Power. A 5kw inverter that runs off the Prius hybrid battery and gas tank. Handles everything, runs for days.
I am so happy for you having all that space now... Your Prius days can just be good memories this is like Niki camping 2.0... also glad you didn't go like into something bigger just a truck good fit for you now.
How useful would a 110 outlet in the back of a camper be? I noticed some of the new Toyotas have them installed and some will put out up to 1500 Watts. I’ve been playing with a small portable induction hot plate which pulls about 800 W and seems to be a safer alternative for van life. That and the Toyota hybrid HVAC system seems to be a good combination.
I have the 2021 Toyota RAV4 Prime and it has the 1500 watt outlet in the back. It is awesome because it will handle the power of all the devices I use it for. Specifically my blender for making smoothies, my Keurig coffee maker, and air pump to inflate my mattress for sleeping in the back.
