    🚨 What is Fentanyl? 🚨
In this video, we explore Fentanyl, an opioid that is 50 to 100 times stronger than morphine. Its potency brings not only powerful pain relief but also significant dangers, especially when misused or mixed with other substances.
💊 The Hidden Dangers of Fentanyl 💊
We discuss how Fentanyl poses severe risks due to tolerance buildup and its frequent, often unknown, mixing with other drugs. This dangerous combination makes it challenging to determine a safe dosage, significantly increasing the risk of overdose.

I was given two 50 mg doses post-op, went into respiratory arrest…thank goodness for Narcan! Fentanyl is now on my allergy list!

50 MILLIgrams is a ton. I’m an ICU nurse and we commonly give 50 MICROgram doses. If u truly received a 50mg dose in the hospital someone seriously messed up TWICE and it’s no surprise u quit breathing 😅

If you are serious, you should sue. That is completely negligent. And the way these hospitals are run anymore, they deserve to be sued.

Yea. Fentanyl is usually dosed in micrograms. Also why didn’t they start you off with smallest available dose like maybe 25 mcg?

Fentanyl is supplied in 100 MICROgram single use vials...so you're saying someone opened 1000 vials to give you 100 MILLIgrams of Fentanyl?

50 mg? You’d be dead guy, you’re just straight up lying about this for whatever reason

Dr. Webb, strong work as usual! In the ER world it is now common practice to Rx Narcan with ANY opiate pain med.

I was on a patch for many years, and I was able to live like a normal person. It was the best pain control until I had other issues as I aged and developed Hashimoto's, and the tolerance wasn't there anymore. It was horrible withdrawals, and I thought I was going to die. It is a powerful drug as a legal prescription, so I couldn't imagine what the street drug version is. I have seen some stories of people in different cities where it is a problem, and I see why they call it a zombie drug.

Real missed opportunity to interview one of the anesthesiologists you work with and get better information. Fentanyl is carefully measured and safely used in ORs around the world. Also the police scare videos are a joke. That's not how fentanyl exposure happens. It's how the mind plays tricks on officers

Really disappointing to see a doctor spread these videos of cops being "exposed" to Fentanyl. That is not how exposure works and there is no way he could have received anything near a dangerous dose from just touching or being around Fentanyl. You should consider consulting Ryan Marino, as he regularly debunks these videos. Most of the time it is a panic attack due to all of the fear-mongering around this drug.

Naloxone is a mu opioid inverse agonist, not just an antagonist, which is why it's able to reverse the binding of opioids to their receptor.

Great topic, great job explaining as your usual. I'd think the antidote should be made available, I'm 58 and have more than one friend that's lost a son or daughter, it's horrible. Thanks for the video.

Why would a real orthopedic surgeon waste time maintaining a UA-cam channel? Why doesn't an orthopedic surgeon properly pronounce "fentanyl" and "narcan"?
