God I miss the aesthetics of the Division 1. It's probably just me but Div1 snowy new york and the gear and clothes looked so much better than the stuff in Div2.
It's not just you. The first Division outclasses the second part. After all, even the characters there look like paralytics. That's what it looks like.
It is crazy to think it held that record for 6 years. To me the franchise doesn't get the attention it deserves from the gaming community but I am thankful it's still standing.
I've made many friends on the Division 1 and played it while chatting with them on Discord. I'll be emotional and in tears saying goodbye to this game when the time has come for all the memories it created for me
They just need to create a function that allows people to run a private server using their own systems. Then promote mod creation, so they can focus on different parts of the division franchise.

I still play Division 1. It's one of my top ten games of all time. Just got a few friends to finally try it out. They love it. We plan on moving to D2 eventually, but there is something special about D1 that is different. For a game this old, it holds up amazingly well and is far better than most games that come out now.
Ive only recently bought division 1 again and i was blown away by the visuals and gameplay. Fell in love all over again. Meanwhile sony's shit "remakes" dont run nearly as good while looking like 15 year old games at low settings. The division 1 even looks damn good at low. We need the devs behind it to be protected at all costs, they are so fucking gooooodddd
It would be sad to see a game like The Division become unplayable. Look at how many people are still enjoying retro games from 30 years ago. I really hope a solution is found.
I don't know how possible it would be, but it'd be awesome if at the end of Div 2's life cycle they just "add" the entirety of Div 1 to it like what L4D2 did with L4D1.
Anything's possible if you put enough time and money behind it, but that would require *a ton* of work, at least from my understanding of game development 😄
I'm actually playing Division 1 right now, I MUCH prefer the gameplay of 2 but the atmosphere is unmatched in the first game. I'm going through the story on a new character then I'll probably go back to Division 2. Man, I miss winter time NYC lol.
i have 4 characters on Division 1 all maxed mutli classified load outs for pve / pvp , i do the daily assignments every day on all 4 not bad a for an old duffer of 70 plus

I have not played div 1 in a year or so. That is my favorite. Love playing div 2 also. Can not wait to play heartland, or the brooklyn expansion. Hope they arrive soon. Thanks for the update on div 1.
The day they shut down division 1 servers will be the day i hang up my SHD tech. I have consistently gotten back on this game for month or two long stints since the release year where i put in a year of play. I actually switched between Xbox 1 and ps5 because my xbox crapped out and i completely restarted. Thats how much i love the game and man did i have some great gear on my xbox account that got left behind from the year 1 special events. One of my favorite memories in all of my gaming career was being in the dark zone taking cover behind a car as sweepers moved in on both sides, then literally out of the fog about 7 players came walking up and decinated the cleaners on both sides and helped me run around the DZ collecting amazing loot. They even helped me unlock some meta builds and they taught me about the gear system because i had alot of trouble understanding gear sets in the beggining. Hell i was in like ninth grade when it was released. Such good memories. Thats why ill never stop playing division 1. I hope they remaster it soon instead of shitting it down. Theyd have a guranteed audience for a long time to come.
I think too, that the division is safe for now. Cause the way I see it as a gamer for 4 decades, that if one division game dies they all die(just saying) but yeah the division is ubisoft's best shooter and just the best creation of a game period by a gaming studio. Like Sanford and son, NO OTHER SHOW CAN EVER BE BETTER. Love division with all my gaming heart.
I wish a bunch of people would give div 2 a break and hop back on division 1. I casually walked into the darkzone and found myself in a dz wide manhunt. So much fun.
I hope Div1 will be here for a long time, it gives me a much better experience than Div2. I play every day, I do the daily tasks at 5 in the morning, then I wait for the weekly tasks and I also like to run in a team. it's true that survival is still difficult, and PVP, because I have to correct my build, but I would be terribly sad if the Div1 game was over. I think many of us still play with it... :)
I remember when I bought my PS4 back in march 2016 I had to choose between 3 games, 1-The Division 2- Cod BO3 3- FIFA 16. Some how I wanted to discover this "New Game" Now I could proudly say this is the best game I've ever played.

I followed Division 1 from the very first trailer. I remember my childhood friends and I being HYPED to play together, and then as times does to everyone we all started families, some of us moved, basically nobody keeps in touch. That's how long i've been about that life lol. But i can't help but still feel bitter that the game i was hyped for, which was promised TEN YEARS of support, was dropped for the sequel. Apparently the only thing that kept it from being canceled years ago is some weird contract or agreement they had with the Singaporean government. I think they're banking *waaay* more on Star Wars Outlaws and AC Red this year
@@RogueGoldHuh. Maybe I was wrong. It seemed like they were really banking on it, but maybe not. If you're right, that's actually good news because it means it's not as much of a disaster as it would've been had they put all their chips on it succeeding.
As a brand new Division 1 player (started a week ago), I have to say I'm loving the setting, gameplay loop, and exploration. Game looks like it could have come out this year, less some of the AI. Still running into plenty of players, on Playstation, too.
As a new player into the Division world, I would say keeping Div 1 up and running is the right thing to do, and here is why, from my point of view as a new player. I have started playing Div 2 about a month ago, and have been having a really amazing time with it, getting close to starting the end game, and levelling up has been a blast. Naturally it has made me super curious about Div 1, and I plan to play through Div 1 once I am finished with Div 2. And I think that will be the case for a lot of new players, especially as the hype build and we get more content for Div 2, Heartland and Div 3.
Does dark zone could be a staple of Ubisoft but they refuse to open this game up. Kind of like how war zone is this game. Would be amazing if they would just keep supporting it. So many great memories in this game that makes me want to go play it again at least just for a little bit
I play Division 2 daily, but from time to time i go in Div1 and i still play it. Underground is my favorite part, i keep doing that...and also pier survival, that is good to farm stuff. For me is strange as i got Division 1 long time after i start playing a lot Div2, so i like them both.
Div1 is one of my favorite games, I have over 5600 hrs. On PC, it was the first multiplayer game I've ever played and I love it. Through the years I met a lot of nice people, but as time passed, the numbers dwindled (mostly due to hackers)I haven't played div1 since April, because I'm abroad, but when I left, there were not many people on PC. I wish we had cross-platform gameplay, I know in console, there's still a fair number of people playing. When I go back home in July I'll log in and hopefully the game's still playable. Thanks for the info.
The day these servers shut down i swear ill have a full blown funeral for this game , its the light of my life , every year i always cycle between the same games FO4 , FNV , GTAO , div 1 & div 2 and rdr2 !! We as a community gotta keep the division 1 ALIVE ❤
Believe it was Fredrick Thylander way, way long ago that addressed the question of The Division 1 being playable offline and his response had to do with (not verbatim) TD1 being so big of a game, not just map wise (and there are several individual maps that would have to be made available offline to make the game complete, like the Dark Zone, Underground, West Side Piers, the incursion maps - those are all different, separate maps) but all the files and folders that control loot spawns, NPC spawns, NPC behavior and...well, you get it...that if they made Div1 (and even worse Div2 which is even more massive [pun intended]) available for offline play, the file size for the game would be far too big for even high end gaming PCS; and forget about it being available offline for consoles! Also...the Dark Zone is PvE...vP! Without other players...the Dark Zone would be basically useless. Even if they configured and programmed in AI Rogues...it wouldn't be the same. Sorry for long-windedness. Knew that answer to the question and wanted to try to help.
So I am a new player to division one to start the game three weeks ago. I’m excited about this global event thing, but apparently I haven’t seen them yet.
I'm trying to play rn on my Xbox. It's been stuck at a loading screen and if I do get to start the game and hit the second loading screen it will give me an error. Hopefully they haven't secretly shut the servers down. I was able to play a few days ago, but now I'm not.
Have to be honest even with the cross game rewards I feel the first game will eventually shutdown but I feel like it’ll go away after maybe 3 comes out or maybe in 2 years idk. Mainly I hope they put some sort of update that makes it not online only but I know that’ll most likely never happen.
If there is one thing I would love to see be put into Div 1 if ANY of the developers can find the time to do is implement Rogue encounters like in Division 2
It would be very foolish to shut down Div 1 simply because it's a story driven franchise and you have a better chance of selling more copies of Div 3 if new players can get the story as a whole by playing Div 1 and Div 2. I'd LOVE to see a 10th anniversary remaster of Div 1 that would be about the only reason to shut the O.G. down, IMO.
I hope they don’t shutdown D1! I still go back and play it the regular game, but the part I do play continuously is “Survival!” If anything how about moving “Survival” to D2!
I hope that we could gather in a community and make a hashtag together in twitter that ubisoft hear our voice and remake the division 1 I know how silly 😢
Im hoping they actually make Div 1 offline. Ive always been stuck playing Div 1 solo because non of my friends play it. I always struggle with builds and playing it solo for this long. It would be nice to mod it or use a trainer of some kind without being banned.
This question has nothing to do with this video. I can’t figure out how to check my level on ( not sure what it’s called) wings? When you help someone and they endorse you (call for back) how do I see my level?
I don't have the game at hand right now to verify, but I believe if you open up your mega-map, there's a tab dedicated to "Shepherding" or something similar, and it will display your Shepherd rank. Should be a few tabs to the right once you open it, I believe.
Hard to believe that answere from Ubisoft. "It's still under investigation" It's not a crime, it's your game. How hard can it be? just log into the server and start the damn Global Event.
regardless of the content they post or what you see online, they aren’t coming back, it’s been over 2 months since the last global event which hasn’t ever since global events were released
Just a month ago started playing the division 1 again its so perfect. Still havent played division 2 but i will definetly do so. I sure hope the EU FORCES ubisoft to keep the game alive as we BOUGHT IT, meaning they wouldnt be allowed to shut it down if it was possible for the game to run localy (it is possible)
These games would have been big big, if community would have been allow to make mods and publish them in game after a community vote. Imagine having exactly what we wanted in game made by us and voted by all players?!! Something like that TennoGen for Warframe...
Would love to go back to it and play some Underground or Survival, but the game was nearly unplayable on PS5 the last time I tried. Terribly choppy, laggy, low FPS. It ran so much better on PS4.
I'm kinda ok if the GE is gone (I know it still sucks if it's truly gone) but at least they still let us come back to New York, and I believe they won't keep us out.
I literally just bought the division 1 like 2 weeks ago and I've been playing it non-stop every night I probably already put about 30 hours into it and it's probably my favorite game now and what I'm really worried about is even though I don't play online and I haven't I just play single player even though I know it's connected to the internet has there been any rumors if they do shut down the servers that they can take off those features and allow us to still play single player because that's going to suck if I paid for the gold expansion edition and I have all these unlocks and all these things that I paid for and all these credits and everything and then I pour my life and a couple hundred hours into this game that I love that they just rip out of my hands because they decide they're not going to keep the servers up anymore I mean am I going to get a refund or what do we do here?
It's an ongoing debate in the industry about publisher responsibility for digital "services." As of right now there's no legal responsibility for them to provide alternative access once online servers go down. That said- I'm quite confident that won't be an issue for Division 1 for many years.
According to Down Detector it appears servers have been unavailable for the time since around when this video was made, and I cannot play for the last week I have tried. Says servers are unavailable.
New player here, i've been looking to play this game for many years, and i've been searching for Global Events but still wont come out, there are rumors said that the game will close its server, and i hope its not true, i hope GE will be updated soon, im on grinding to get strikers battlegear, i hope this game still open until for many years at least until the division 3 come out, even though is not possible... 👋
there is another way you can grind for classified. you can matchmake with any person doing resistance challenge, killing boss at dz area and also matchmake for legendary mission.
Car games have licenses fpr the car models themselves and those things time out. Project Cars, Driveclub on ps4, and others have become unavailable for these reasons. I hope the Division stays the fk available as I just bought it...
I hope they are not gonna shutting down the division 1. I want this game to stay forever. Or if they do not like to support it more, i hope they are gonna release an update that the game is going to be like any single player game, that you buying it and you have it in your game list and play it any time until you die. This actually would be my dream about this game because i want to go free roam in dark zone without those pvpidiot cheaters around
Playing it for five years i think im off now,i quit doesn't have something to do and keep me entertained only waiting for division 3 just if is something good new and more enjoyable. I hope for new servers no pc crashing no bad pvp character must jumb thats a hilarious no one tells it!
We, all agents worldwide, have to make a promise: When time of Div servers is coming to its end, we have to log in on every platforms and move to a concrete place of DZ and make some emotes or the same dance all at once to celebrate and say goodbye to this amazing game. Who's with me?? SPREAD THIS WORDS.
It's a bug, they're fixing the issue in the upcoming TU20.2 Patch 👉 trello.com/c/cB9tv4wC/199-descent-no-new-collectibles-are-received-when-completing-the-weekly-project
@@RogueGold Thanks for the reply, do you know if they plan to look at how many comms players a missing and to compensate them? or is it just to fix the issue and move on?
It is completely within Ubisoft's capabilities to make the game offline but they won't do it. It is exactly what happened with The crew, the game is soo good with a proper story and soo many vehicles to chose from, also the entire USA map, its unique but it requires internet connection for nothing. Other cars AI is not even that great that it has to be offloaded to the servers, its basic car racing game AI, similarly how division enemy AI are, not so great. But they won't, its just losing stakeholder money but losing trust of their customers is worse. Reason why I aint buying Ubisoft games anymore or any online only games.
The Crew and Division's designs are completely different. Division's world detail and scale is immensely higher, which all takes more memory, rendering, etc. One of the lead Devs on the team recently explained why offline mode is all but impossible for Division 👉 x.com/Palle_Hoffstein/status/1800950087717453981
@RogueGold As much as love for Div1 to live on forever. The rewards plan for playing all The Division games do not prove that they will not shutdown Div1. If you recall at one time there was plans for a tablet companion app that lets you play as drone with your friends in the main game. They even had a gameplay video showing it in action. But it was later cancelled. If Ubisoft can cancel a big project like that then removing Div1 from bonus reward for playing it in other games is easy.
To be fair, I never said what's covered in this video "proves" anything one way or the other. I just believe that Division 1's inclusion in that system indicates that Ubisoft wants it to be a component of the growing Division franchise moving forward. Certainly plans can change over time, though, so we'll see what happens 👍
God I miss the aesthetics of the Division 1. It's probably just me but Div1 snowy new york and the gear and clothes looked so much better than the stuff in Div2.
Yep I agree
Definitely not just you, game has a completely different vibe and its not a bad thing.

The atmosphere and the soundtrack in Division 1 got to me like no other game I've ever played. Immersion is not overrated...
So many memories and hours spent in Div1 playing endgamr content, underground, legendary, incursions and survival DLC.

Does dark zone could be a staple of Ubisoft but they refuse to open this game up. Kind of like how war zone is this game. Would be amazing if they would just keep supporting it. So many great memories in this game that makes me want to go play it again at least just for a little bit
Oh God I hope not!! This is my favorite game
I don't think they will because new players to resurgence and Div 2 will need Div 1 to bring them up to speed on the beginning of where we are now.
Appreciate the insight greatly! I'll have to track that thread down someday 😄
I'm still playing I can assure you it's still online
Deff was looking foward to div 1 global events . I think they are awesome . Great vid .
Thank you!
I really hope they increase the difficulty (at least near endgame) in Div 3 to keep is going longer
Have to be honest even with the cross game rewards I feel the first game will eventually shutdown but I feel like it’ll go away after maybe 3 comes out or maybe in 2 years idk.
Mainly I hope they put some sort of update that makes it not online only but I know that’ll most likely never happen.
I wish all developers could do this. Sucks you just have to let your game die forever.
They already said they will never shut down Tom Clancys games
I still jump on D1 for Survival Sundays....come back and play it incase they do shut it down. Nothing like it.
If there is one thing I would love to see be put into Div 1 if ANY of the developers can find the time to do is implement Rogue encounters like in Division 2
They are there in the underground exactly what you described.
@@djsmith6247 rather fight them in the streets than Underground. And as far as I know those are Hunters not Rogue Agents
It would be very foolish to shut down Div 1 simply because it's a story driven franchise and you have a better chance of selling more copies of Div 3 if new players can get the story as a whole by playing Div 1 and Div 2.
I'd LOVE to see a 10th anniversary remaster of Div 1 that would be about the only reason to shut the O.G. down, IMO.
That's definitely a component as well- it's hard to tell an ongoing story if the first chapter gets taken away
Dude I just bought the game on steam summer sale it better not go anywhere at least for an year or two
👊 Welcome to The Division! I wouldn't worry, personally :)
Thanks for the update RG and sorry for the Tweet barrage from myself about this.
Nothing to be sorry for! Just wanted to share the info and my take on the matter with the larger community :)
1:07 - Division 1 have best Global Events. Also y could've choose harder version of event, I dont remeber how it was called. Event tier?
There were the additional modifiers you could place onto missions and other instanced content, I believe
just bought it on sale
I hope they don't kill it. it's been a fun experience
Got nobody to play with but i started looking for solo build and the game is much more nice for me
I hope they don’t shutdown D1! I still go back and play it the regular game, but the part I do play continuously is “Survival!” If anything how about moving “Survival” to D2!
Not gonna happen.
D2 is far more broken and unbalanced than d1.
@@SeriousDragonify true
I hope that we could gather in a community and make a hashtag together in twitter that ubisoft hear our voice and remake the division 1
I know how silly 😢
D3 needs to be closer to D1 than D2's everyone's got a shield and no signature skills crap.
I would love to have the division. One servers available for download so that I could play It once they decide to let it go into the either.
Im hoping they actually make Div 1 offline. Ive always been stuck playing Div 1 solo because non of my friends play it. I always struggle with builds and playing it solo for this long. It would be nice to mod it or use a trainer of some kind without being banned.
Dude thanks I even contacted Ubisoft just to get a automated message appreciate the update
👍👍
Division 1 until 2030 min it still holds up today in all respects
At least let them know that they will never make a better game than Div 1. Never.
regardless of the content they post or what you see online, they aren’t coming back, it’s been over 2 months since the last global event which hasn’t ever since global events were released
Ayoo, watching alpha bridge gameplay made me shed a tear 🥹🥹
Just a month ago started playing the division 1 again its so perfect. Still havent played division 2 but i will definetly do so.
I sure hope the EU FORCES ubisoft to keep the game alive as we BOUGHT IT, meaning they wouldnt be allowed to shut it down if it was possible for the game to run localy (it is possible)
i just bought the division 1 last night and wanted to play it today but i keep getting hit with error codes mike and delta
It was a godsend for Microsoft to enable 60FPS on the Series consoles
I'm kinda ok if the GE is gone (I know it still sucks if it's truly gone) but at least they still let us come back to New York, and I believe they won't keep us out.
I'd like them to make an offline mode so we can replay the campaign part.
Ty for keeping up the d1 content
👍👊
That said- I'm quite confident that won't be an issue for Division 1 for many years.
they should allow mods like breakpoint
According to Down Detector it appears servers have been unavailable for the time since around when this video was made, and I cannot play for the last week I have tried. Says servers are unavailable.
Maybe look into alternative internet access, etc.? Servers have been up and accessible for myself and anyone else I know in the community
Hi RogueGold, as a tribute to Tom Clancy for developing an awesome game,i think The Division should stay, i still love D1 .
I hope you enjoy your time with TD1! I wouldn't worry about any imminent shutdown, we should still have a long time to play and enjoy it 🙂
there is another way you can grind for classified. you can matchmake with any person doing resistance challenge, killing boss at dz area and also matchmake for legendary mission.
@@RogueGoldsaid no one. GE is never going to return and there is no point to play it now.
Car games have licenses fpr the car models themselves and those things time out. Project Cars, Driveclub on ps4, and others have become unavailable for these reasons. I hope the Division stays the fk available as I just bought it...
Is there a specific date for the return of events ?
No, they haven't confirmed whether they will return or not
I hope they are not gonna shutting down the division 1.
Imo shutting down The Division servers would be a bigger mistake than not giving Division 2 a survival DLC.
Playing it for five years i think im off now,i quit doesn't have something to do and keep me entertained only waiting for division 3 just if is something good new and more enjoyable. I hope for new servers no pc crashing no bad pvp character must jumb thats a hilarious no one tells it!
We, all agents worldwide, have to make a promise:
When time of Div servers is coming to its end, we have to log in on every platforms and move to a concrete place of DZ and make some emotes or the same dance all at once to celebrate and say goodbye to this amazing game.
Who's with me?? SPREAD THIS WORDS.
I'm with you. I'm happy to pay tribute to the best game in the world. Now that GE has buried that time is closer than it seems.
When was the last global event? Couldn't just make a few clicks and turn them back on?
If it were just a few clicks they would have done it no doubt 👍
I completed descent and the project is also marked complete but didn't get the comm. Anyone else have the same problem?
It's a bug, they're fixing the issue in the upcoming TU20.2 Patch 👉 trello.com/c/cB9tv4wC/199-descent-no-new-collectibles-are-received-when-completing-the-weekly-project
@@RogueGold Thanks for the reply, do you know if they plan to look at how many comms players a missing and to compensate them? or is it just to fix the issue and move on?
@redmike3675 Not sure on that, they haven't said one way or the other.
I honestly don't think they will shut down the Div 1 servers until Div3 is released!
👍👍
what build are you running? looks awesome
6-piece Classified AlphaBridge! 👍
Meu sonho e esse game atualizar para poder jogar a 60fps no PS5, nao quero ter que montar um PC, so queria isso da tia Ubisoft.
@@RogueGold he is lying
They would be crazy to shut down the division. Man the division Everytime i get on is packed full of people
Is there any news about this? are global events coming back? what is the official game network to comment on this? thanks for the video!
They're still working on it 👍 The only place I've seen them officially communicate about it is Twitter 👉 twitter.com/TheDivisionGame
@@RogueGold thanks man!!
So answer me a question...why does it appear on steam like single player
You can play 95% of the game single player
hey, any thoughts about Division heartland ?
Many thoughts :)
They cancelled it lmao!
You need to play number one so you can get all the benefits for number two
It is the better Division game. I hope they dont shut it down. Its in my top 10 best games ever made.
Still play it , love it
Dont shut down it im starting play it huhuhuhuh
I wouldn't worry too much :)
they killed the crew 1 and they will kill the division 1
Division 1 cost more to buy than 2 why would that be if they were shutting it down?
bro its not letting me join
