Fun fact about Dio’s Road Roller attack: If you’re playing as Jotaro when he uses that, you can input your own time stop to cause them to reenact Jotaro’s escape from that attack.

@@MrTopTenList You'll notice the arm is initially the same color as the ash before taking on its normal appearance a moment later. He's definitely having to put himself back together after doing his best to kill himself.
Iori's fighting style involves a lot of claw-handed strikes, which means his Ya Otome creates and aggravates multiple open wounds before he sets the opponent on fire. The SDM version either slams you into the ground first, hits you with multiple explosions after, or straight up disembowels you, depending on the game. You forgot the DM follow-up, though, which, after the bleeding chest wounds and the explosion, sees Iori cut the opponent with fire multiple times and striking them with a fire pillar. And then there are all of his HSDM, LDM, MAX2, Exceed, and CLIMAX supers. Iori is a walking overkill.
Fun fact: Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: HFTF actually got the road roller wrong beyond the lack of a time stop. Dio actually used his elbows for most of the hits, only switching to his fists for the last blow. HFTF has him punch it the entire time instead.
The lack of a timestop isn't cause they got it wrong but for gameplay purposes since the timestop is its own thing that's actually useful (unlike in ASB). However for the animation itself yeah I guess you're right, though that + the explosion is probably based on the OVA.
the reason azrael's astral finish is so effective is cause he's releasing all his limiters yeah dude is so powerful he put limiters on himself just so the fight will last longer

It really isn't, flash slams you into the cheek of a dinosaur and takes you back, doomday pounds you to the core the bottom of the earth and back up again. Now you tell me whos more brutal
Personal Favorite of mine is Iron Tager's Astral Finish. The grab, jump up to SPACE, the atmospheric re-entry, the explosive landing, and then (the part that puts it above Azreal imo) when he steps up and out of the crater.
Even though I was mostly going on cinematics for this video, boss super move damage seems like a good basis for its own list. I've only beaten Alpha 3 twice because that Psycho Crusher is killer. As soon as Bison gets full meter, I'm keeping my eye on that him until he does that Crusher so I can be ready to block.
One detail I love about BlazBlue's Astrals is that the majority of them do significantly more damage than any character's total HP pool, especially so for the canonically stronger characters
Akuma's Shun Goku Satsu/Raging Demon is the most iconic Overkill Move in Fighting Game History, this Move had influenced over FG Characters to do the Black-Screen Rabid Attack over the Years, but none of that can ever reach the Original's Level, The Shun Goku Satsu/Raging Demon adds so much Mystique and Ambiguity back in the Day about what is happening behind the Black-Screen, wasn't until Street Fighter 5 where it was finally Revealed.
Shoutout to Madara in NSUNS4, who throws, like, 8 meteors on his enemy. Which, if your fighting someone like kid Naruto, is at least 7 meteors too many
Honorable mention to Susanoo’s astral. Being so that he’s the god of destruction in the BB universe, his astral is the highest damaging one of the whole cast. On top of that, he is one of 3 to drastically change the landscape, along with Azrael and Nine (Who summons a meteor shower, causing a burning apocalypse). Susan throws you to the ground, and proceeds to pull out an energy sword from his chest. But unlike his special and super that uses the sword, this one is slightly different. He proceeds to (what I guess to be) destroy the world, and leave it as a dead wasteland covered in green flames. And on top of that, he proceeds to end it in a cool pose. And on the previous point of his astral damage, it maxes the dammege counter at 99999.
Iori Yagami staring at the screen mid-combo of his Super Move can also imply "You're next", which can intimidate and/or make you flinch. And as for Akuma, he really attacks your soul to do that Raging Demon making you die a thousand deaths. XD
I'd have gone with the moon destroying Astral Finish. And I'd definitely have gone with Quan Chi's Leg RIP fatality. He of course rips of your leg... then beats you to death with it. By hitting you in the head until your head explodes. Then he just... keeps hitting you with it. Endlessly. You have to move on to the next match to get him to stop. That's quite literally overkill.
Nice continuation of this sub-series. I would like Top Ten Super Move Fails in Fighting Games. These Supers will have the user try to go all out but end up getting hurt as well.
That seems more like a subset of "comedy" super moves, like Makoto punching you so hard that the crater you make ON THE MOON is in the shape of her fist.
I'm also pretty sure the lore of Shun Goku Satsu says the attack targets the soul of the enemy, killing them instantly, the pain you feel also increases depending on how bad your soul is
Im surprised they didn't mention the Street Fighter 5 Raging Demon, looking the best in terms of cinematics, his misogi/ Kongou Kokuretsuzan combo from street fighter x tekken, or his ultra combos as Oni in Street fighter 4, all of which are super overkill and also go hard

I know that there is a desperation move from Yuri of Art of Fighting that strongly resembles Akuma's Raging Demon. Yuri is also able to throw air projectiles, too.
Azrael actually has a reason of why he throws you into the air with the earth below too, their blue tattoos are meant to be a Handicap so he can only use he's true power to defending himself, so if he trows you with out the dirt you falling from the sky wouldn't be enough of a menace to activate the Tattoos and let Azrael it's true power... But with the giant rock below you, yeah, that far more menacing so he can punch the ever living shit out of you without hessitation
I was thinking about Potemkin's Instant Kill in Xrd during the Doomsday segment since that's another trip to the other side of the world in a super move, so he was definitely in my thoughts for this list!
For UMvC3 I would have picked Vergil's Dark Angel super. Not only does it cost FOUR whole bars (because you can only do it in his Devil Trigger), but he cuts the opponent hundreds of times conjuring before sheathing his sword causing even more summoned swords to stab into the opponent - THEN you can keep going for a full combo afterward! Plus it does some of the highest damage in the game on its own. Getting hit by this super is death in all circumstances.
She was considered for the Blazblue entry, which is why she appeared in the b roll for the segment when I was talking about how it was pretty much a 30-way tie, so consider that a consolation prize for her!
I was secretly hoping the MvC rep would be Taskmaster's Aegis Counter, since I was mentioning to you that it doesn't have much isolated footage on youtube, it's my favorite super, and is pretty overkill as well. But RR's level 3 was a great pick. Even better, that tumbling animation after the bomb can link into his level 1 gatling gun super, so in that case he is like "hmm, the warhead probably wasn't enough, let me quickly jump off this ladder and get a few dozen more shots in"
I didn't even consider the followup! That's the fun thing about some of the UMvC3 Level 3s. Maybe I'll look at some of the Counter Super Moves in a later list to give me an excuse to use the Taskmaster one since that's definitely the best Counter super in the game (I only can think of Wesker as another counter super move, but still)
@@MrTopTenList Deadpool's level 3 is also a counter - the infamous "beat you down with his health bar" move. Just in case you were looking to do a "Top 10 Comedic Supers" list at any point.

Overkill move from Xenoverse 2, extend the end by forcing them to dance with Para Para. (It doesn't deal damage, but definitely continues to cause emotional damage and surprisingly has a very weird damage interaction shown)
Personally in terms of overkill in dbz games i feel cooler in dbz budokai 3 was overkill he literally beats you down and while you’re knocked down he literally makes a giant supernova Says “the entire planet will be vaporized!” And while the opponent is struggling trying to hold back the ball of fiery death cooler flexes yelling “ i am the strongest in the universe!”and then expands the ball even further destroying the planet in the process
I’m surprised you didn’t mention sfv’s version of the raging demon. It actually shows us what he is doing as well as all the points he hits that can actually kill someone.
Epic video, I think a part 2 or a series would be in order! Funfact: If you play Cyberbots, there's a Mech based on Akuma/Gouki and you can see every hit of the "Raging Demon"! Also, can i make an honorable mention for certain Tekken characters, Bloody Roar and an older game on Neo Geo called Ragnagard (Shin-Oh-Ken)? both games have some highly disrespectful finishers!
Thank you! The Fatal Blows in general were like the Astral Finish dilemma where they all went overkill in their own way, so most of the MK11 roster were in contention for me
Good list but, given the fact he explodes the whole planet just to kill one person already on the verge of death, I would've put Cyber Smoke as #1 for overkill. A little surprising that no one from MK made the list.
correction: Raven DOES actually disintegrate himself and turn himself into dust too. It's just that he literally cannot die no matter how many methods of suicide he tries (correct me if I'm wrong but the nail in his forehead might be the result of a failed suicide attempt or a failed execution). TLDR; he just built different.
I believe dizzy from guilty gear should have won this overkill list due to the fact that she makes her familiar/spirit intentionally miss its shot and when their opponent witnesses it they go WTF and surrender not lose or die. And every individual has their own different reactions to it. It’s the truest definition of overkill. ua-cam.com/video/KbzToVXm70Q/v-deo.html
In Final Fantasy Dissidia Duodecim 012, Feral Chaos when he uses his first half of his EX burst called Regnum Dei, he smashes you into a fiery arena and proceeds to attack you for 20 seconds, then he uses his second part of his EX Burst Regnum Dei where he stabs you with his claws, multiple huge swords stab you from all angles, then in a first person view of his victim in sepia filter before stabbing you with his claws causing the screen to shut off of a second. It's super fun when you're playing as feral chaos but you can interrupt it if you're on the receiving end of it by taking out his Bravery points.
Ok. I'm @ 4:37. But I had to stop right there. I understand the reasoning behind your decision, but I think for DBZ, the slot should'a gone to Kid Buu in Budokai 3. He throws a death ball that could've blown up the planet ten times, and then after it connects, he charges up a stronger kamehameha that's BIGGER than the ball of death. Like, Kid Buu wanted you SUPER dead.

Raven in xrd can't die lore wise. He does actually disintegrate himself in his IK, he just regenerates. That's why you see his arm's colour change from ash grey to your chosen colour pallette
After I made the list, I thought of a few SF EX moves that would've been perfect for the list. I forget about that game a lot, and it loves to do super moves that go into orbit, like Cracker Jack, so I gotta remember it more often
My recommendation for a part 2 video would be Linedwell Rainrix from Evil Zone. While his super attack is awesome, its his cinematic super that takes the cake! He slashes his foes with a large pentagram of pain then stabs himself which that pain is taken out on the opponent!
The Raging Demon's Japanese name is actually translated to Instant Hell Murder. Shun = 一瞬 (Isshun) = Instant Goku = 地獄 (Jigoku) = Hell Satsu = 殺 = Murder Where Prison is actually 監獄 (Kangoku)
Remember, even in Jump Force, considered the most eh anime fighting game, kept DIO's Road Roller and many consider it to be one of the best looking ultimates in the game
According to the lore, Akuma's "Raging Demon" isn't just a physical beat down, he is literally destroying his opponent's soul by reflecting its own darkness back on it, or something like that. Some descriptions say that Akuma is literally dragging his opponent to hell where their soul is attacked by demons. The only way to survive it is for the target to "embrace nothingness" which takes a high level of spiritual and mental enlightenment, and renders the attack harmless. Only a few characters in the Street Fighter universe are capable of this. For everyone else, it's instant physical and spiritual death.

If I can think of 10, sounds like a fun one!
@@MrTopTenList Awesome! I'll wait
Pokken has some fun ones, be it the DBZ reference that is shadow mewtwo's burst or something more subtly brutal like changelure incinerating its opponent's soul
MUGEN HOMER deserved a honorable mention.. 😆 🤣 😆
I used to love watching MUGEN videos back in hgih school! Peter Griffin vs Homer was always a fan favorite matchup. I knew of Homer's "You Go Squish Now!" before I knew the origin of the steamroller attack lol
@@MrTopTenList ahahha so true I remind the first time I have seen that hilarious video with a wave spam of Homer steam roller and Peter anal torch, me and my brother cant stop laughing for 10 min XD
@@MrTopTenList anyway the animators make Homer and Peter, I dont know who he or they are, need a apprection video, Mugen is a Jewel
I'm glad more people are talking about Iori again
Great list. I agree with number 1. I'm surprised Jokers Fetal Blow from MK11 didn't make it on here.
Thank you! The Fatal Blows in general were like the Astral Finish dilemma where they all went overkill in their own way, so most of the MK11 roster were in contention for me
@@MrTopTenList ah, I see. Ten four. Well keep up the good work. I love your stuff.
I always assumed he doesn't disintegrate because he can't die, but if he actually just reforms from dust, that's even cooler than what I thought!
You should do a combo teir list. Characters with the most stylish combos, hardest combos, violent looking combos, longest combos, Tod's
I think Jedah treata the enemy like a sign pen
Street Fighter Ex2 & Ex3 characters have Meteo Combos (level 3 special moves) that even knocked out their opponents out of earth to other planets
Wondering if you would make a Power Ranger video considering what happened lately.

Love how Slayer and Venom, who could absolutely survive it, aren’t even remotely disturbed
@@redblueandgray And Raven is too turned on to keep fighting.

That's what I love about the DBZ games. Most of the supers go hard, so there's always plenty of candidates for lists like these
Top 10
Bruce Lee look alikes
military characters
drunken fist characters
sword users
axe users
nunchuck users
claw users
hammer users
knife users
small characters
secret characters
character rivalries
Also top 10 captains like Capt. America & Capt. Planet,& top 10 robot versions of other characters like metal sonic & mecha godzilla
Raven in xrd can't die lore wise. He does actually disintegrate himself in his IK, he just regenerates. That's why you see his arm's colour change from ash grey to your chosen colour pallette
the haircut was only 30 dollars, actually
I agree with a lot of these. Would have swaped out 1 and 2 but uh yeah.
Fighting Games Are My Specialty Loved Them for a long time I respect your channel
Another good one is the robot smoke's fatality in MK trilogy, where he releases so much bombs that he explodes the earth...
Considering UMVC3 is also the game where you can get one-shot by a lawyer slamming a table and pointing a lot, dropping a nuke isn’t too unreasonable.
But Raven himself is Immortal so he couldn't get killed by his own move even if he tried witch in this he did
I feel like HEAVENLY POTEMKIN BUSTAAA! should be on this list
Marvel Vs Capcom’s Hulk super is quite overkill as he jumps up and grabs a meteor just to crush you with it
Want no Zangief finishing move!!! In Street Fighter EX3 he does he’s spinning move in space before slamming you down.
After I made the list, I thought of a few SF EX moves that would've been perfect for the list. I forget about that game a lot, and it loves to do super moves that go into orbit, like Cracker Jack, so I gotta remember it more often
I'm surprised you didn't choose Susanoo considering he ERASES REALITY to annihilate 1 person.
That's pretty cool that Akuma move was inspired by Fist of the North Star
Cap
I was waiting for Smoke's Fatality where he explodes the earth lol
i disagree with Akuma being first but the rest of your list is on point homie
My recommendation for a part 2 video would be Linedwell Rainrix from Evil Zone. While his super attack is awesome, its his cinematic super that takes the cake! He slashes his foes with a large pentagram of pain then stabs himself which that pain is taken out on the opponent!
The Raging Demon's Japanese name is actually translated to Instant Hell Murder.
Shun = 一瞬 (Isshun) = Instant
Goku = 地獄 (Jigoku) = Hell
Satsu = 殺 = Murder
Where Prison is actually 監獄 (Kangoku)
Number 1 seems a bit high, but okay
I mean it's literally the most iconic super move on a all time scale. You cannot escape this super
Iori has some issues he needs to work out
About the Raging Demon: Each hit is a hadoken that explodes inside the target, which makes survival even more baffling.
Cap
@@sidneyshaw9205 no cap it's true. You ever read the udon manga?
Remember, even in Jump Force, considered the most eh anime fighting game, kept DIO's Road Roller and many consider it to be one of the best looking ultimates in the game
Good list I am actually suprised you did not include any mk xray moves
According to the lore, Akuma's "Raging Demon" isn't just a physical beat down, he is literally destroying his opponent's soul by reflecting its own darkness back on it, or something like that. Some descriptions say that Akuma is literally dragging his opponent to hell where their soul is attacked by demons. The only way to survive it is for the target to "embrace nothingness" which takes a high level of spiritual and mental enlightenment, and renders the attack harmless. Only a few characters in the Street Fighter universe are capable of this. For everyone else, it's instant physical and spiritual death.
No street fighter 5 shun Goku satsu??? They show a couple of the hits he do while it's dark. It would of been nice to hear your input on them finally showing something while it happened
“It’s delicious”
Susano'o just becomes an anime antagonist using the "fuck you supreme ultra violet dark flames of destruction" and just annihilates you. And yes, I do utterly love my edgy boy and the strong spam he can _at the very least almost_ commit murder with
21:25 Oh dear
You haven't played MUGEN have you
No KI ultra combos? Also... ClayFighter insane combos
Top ten fighting game characters with happy endings
I’m shocked you chose Waldstein over Merkava lol. His super shocked me with how visceral it was.
LET'S GO!!!!
