I skipped 23 but bought this one and so far pretty happy. I can play around new physics models and things the deal breaker for me was always the AI, and in 24 it's loads better. They over shoot corners, make mistakes, crash with each other, get penalties, overall its much more immersive experience.
Agreed
what about the ai on straights? do they still not give it full gas on straights?
@@Don-Omarr full gas so far for me, can’t catch them unless I go into Mix 3.
@@mouseseventyfour niice. Thats what kept me from playing story mode in the older games. Ill take a look at mgp24 thx
@@Don-Omarr I’m playing on the adaptive AI, it occasionally does some odd things but still miles better than previous games
MotoGP 24 is in my opinion a big improvement after the 23 version.
The AI get track limits and penalty's too now and that makes the game more realistic. Ride 5 stays my favorite on the console ( PS5) but MotoGP 24 is a good second one !!
With Milestone you never knows...they could be making good games but sometimes it's a disaster with for example SBK22 or some Monster Energy Supercross games ( 4&5) !!
Thanks dylan, i always wait your review before buing a MotoGP game and thanks to you i think i will actually buy the game at some point. Thanks and as always great review!
Concise and to the point; nice review. 8/10 is pretty fair and deserved.
I love that the classes feel unique, but you're right, the gp bikes just don't do it in the physics department. They feel boaty. Moto 2 and 3 are a hoot, and I think most of why they are better is due to reduced electronic aids. Correcting or maintaining a slide with your own throttle input is massively satisfying this time around.
There are only 1 big issue with the physics and that is that there are 2 physics. 1 physics is related to the changes you do in setup that thankfully at least do something which hardly does anything in Ride 5. Then you got physics number 2 which is where they lock both front and rear suspension if you apply throttle or braking. I will be honest and say that it does feel like this effect is worse under braking, and that they may have tweaked the understeery effect during acceleration. It's still there, but slightly better than in Ride 5.
They could simply just add one more slider into the setups where you could zero out the effect or apply more for who ever just want no suspension for which ever insane reason.
I find it very annoying that it feels like you are riding two different bikes and yet you also are not. The riding style automatically becomes stale and uninspiring when you are forced to freeze up everything when you really need suspension the most. This is the reason why the front feels so dead in this game as well because no suspension together with ultra smooth tarmac and curbs means you won't get the feedback these games should have.
I could live with the minor things if they just added that slider to be able to completely zero out the lock up of the suspension under throttle/braking. It's such a dumb addition and it only makes riding harder because if you make a mistake it will be way harder to correct when you are riding a log. That's rather self explanatory.
I defo with you on the physics element of the game, career to me even tho there is the rider market, I still find getting myself motivated to play it a bit ugghh, nice review bud as always 💪💪
Agreed and well said Dyl.. Well said! Mario kart with 300hp bikes killed me but perfectly explained it 😅
Totally Agree, it is a step in the right direction
how to download and it is available in playstore? for Android phones or tablets or for only ps5 or ps4 only?
Looks decent pal but £58? Its good they have transfers etc but i aay this every year can they personalise the characteristics and abilities of the individual riders and factory teams?
Otherwise as for adaptive AI if your a rookie does it adapt several times and recalibrate as you get better?
The game is a step in all areas, transfers will make career mode more refreshing l,the adaptive AI will improve as you do but regardless you'll always be near the podium with it on as it adapts to you
When will the bikes get updated to 2024 specs
9th of may for GP class,Moto 2 and moto 3 are TBC
Are there past riders and the 500cc?
No
If the AI is actually raceable, it's worth a pickup on sale. You can get some good hours of fun off career mode.
Eu comprei na steam, consigo jogar com amigos no ps5?
No
Review would’ve been perfect if you let ducky run during the category transitions.
missed opportunity!!
Do you prefer MotoGP 21 or 24?
Overall package 24,physics I'd give to 21
@@Dyl469Good to hear, i bought 21 for 6 euros today (downloading right now). Mostly i enjoy time trial laps, so physics is most important for me. And i love some classic bike content.
The adaptive ai, atleast so far for me being halfway through moto2 in career is a bit cooked. I'll go from qualifying a second faster than everyone to coming 5th with an almighty struggle
Well that's kind of how it works,it will learn from you through the sessions so that in the race it's around you're pace,I have a video coming on how to calibrate them properly soon 🤘
@Dyl469 yeah but it ruins the immersion between FP1 to quali it should have a good baseline.. then to go from 1.4 seconds behind in quali to .05 - .08 faster a lap is ridiculous and depressing
No Bike Retrieval no buy!
Weird hill to die on, nothing funner than running for 10 seconds to pick up your bike and loose the pack entirely
@SneakySodomiser it's called immersion, try it out...realism gives me a chubby.
everything in this game is good except the physics
Pretty much, the physics are the best they've been for the last few years
No first person view!!...? guess no VR, no FFB also.
Has 3 different 1st person camera, doesn't have VR and it does have vibration through the control,if you mean FFB from a wheel then I do not know
Its not that great tbh. Very much the same as 23
It's alot better than 23 in my eyes
@@Dyl469 i dont see how it better. Literally worst
@@nikolaig1 Its much better... Handling, braking, ai, sounds, rider transfers...
@@WSNBM-1908 its ass not updated t eams
