Just bought this myself Dude. Its a massive upgrade from last year for sure. Feels intuative. The liftoff coming out of corners is sublime lol. The Rider feels real loose. Great first impressions Mate, thumbs up.
Handling is miles better from last years game, it is awesome+ dynamic weather it is a must buy if you think last years game was decent, 23 is a much more tamemable beast.
An integral part of riding a motorcycle with serious power is the throttle especially in a turn. The stoppies are a must in Moto GP it's natural. In the game it's important if it's consistent! at X amount of brake pressure. I haven't bought this yet because I'm addicted to IOM 3 helmet cam 😍😍🔥
Big D on the new game, that's the review I've been waiting for. I must admit the first thing out of my mouth when I fired this up yesterday was, "well that looks better!" For some reason on my PS 5, motogp22 - even though it's using exactly the same TV settings as all my other games - looked washed out and too bright. The new game looks spot-on, and I could see no evidence of texture popping, tearing or other issues unlike the TT3 game. The second thing out of my mouth was, "Wow this feels different," but good different, not sucks different. After the initial test lap with Peco Bagnaia on the Ducati I jumped straight into the career mode riding Moto3 at Sepang in the wet, and the wet handling felt totally different than before, as it should be, it required a lot more control skill. Qualifying and race was in the dry, so I got to sample both wet and dry handling, the new gyroscopic effects are evident even on the smaller bikes and requires adjustment when getting on the throttle as the bike will lift and want to push forward, also inclined to wheelie more, so it feels more connected to something that actually has some power in other words like a Racing motorcycle, and not a scooter. You are right in saying smoothness will be the key to this game, and in that respect I found some of the neural AI modes to be interesting, in that they were not taking control off you, but instead enhancing it to be smoother. I was aware of them doing things at times but was not overly intrusive, but for someone like me who plays with a damaged wrist and left thumb, to where I often cannot keep my bikes from wavering in the corners because I can't keep always a constant pressure on the left stick, then I was finding it was helping me have smoother lines while I still felt completely in control. The fact that this game experience setting can be adjusted at any time and furthermore does not affect things like AI strength of opponents or race settings, is a good thing. I think it will help more players have a better and more positive experience with the game. So overall I'm impressed favourably, I feels like a game I'm really going to enjoy getting my teeth into. But as for you, get back to work! You've a lot of content to get out 😆😅😂
Certainly looks much better than 22 but it is much less of a simulation IMO. There aren’t as many penalties for late/ sudden braking and poor timing as in 22. I suppose they’re trying to win more new fans and players, which is good for business and continuity, and perhaps didn’t want to piss off loyal fans like you again lol. I don’t know how realistic the centrifugal push during corner acceleration is, as I seen a comment by a real rider about it being overstated in the game. Overall, I like it and how it looks, and will certainly enjoy it, maybe the best times on this edition will reflect actual times by the motoGP riders. Great review and look forward to your MotoGP videos.
Once I got used to the throttle standing the bike it came down to mastering the better brakes being able to brake so late in this game feels so weird where as GP22 you had to use front and rear like half a mile out just to barely make the corner but im getting there number 3 in time triall at Brno with a 1:52 getting the corner speed up
AI still needs some work, maybe a patch?? I still waiting to buy this until the historic mode/bikes get released! Still a big step up from 21 and 22, never bought them or played them because there just wasn't much new. Still have 20, but looking forward to playing this as well as Ride 5!
i hate the throttle pickup soooo bad in moto 3. The Ai divebomb and go off the track in the process lol and go 5 a breast into a corner definitely a upgrade somewhere
I have doubt about the fact you can't accelerate in exit that much, in reality. I will have to compare this week end at Mugello. That will probably slow our times record for alot.. I guess..🤔 waiting to see and practice more. I couldn't do a lap without crashing on my first trial.
I also feel it is a step in the right direction, I just want the brakes to be a bit more effective again so you actually can enjoy using the throttle more before braking. Also never being able to throttle much in corners take away some of the badass feel of hearing your engine in corners. So yeah it is good but I can definitely see what could make it better, question is more will all sim fanatics scream then because it seems like they want the game as slow and stiff as possible then it is "sim" in their mind.
May I ask? Is this game worth buying? Because I was surprised that the game's price is 180 bucks in my country (Malaysia) on Steam (which is expensive imo even though it is around the price for other licensed sports games).
Hey Dylan do you know if they have updated the physics? Now when I am playing I feel like the understeer is gone, it turns extremely sharp and bike feel overall very agile, so much that I actually overshoot my corners now. Could you take a look and see what you think? Maybe I just played too much Ride 5 lately but I am certain some of the corners I take with ease now were frustratingly wide before.
So my sources tell me the game hasn't been updated in over a month as well as no big physics changes,so more than likely just remembering it differently
@@Dyl469 Ok, if you do test try these settings. Front 1 3 4 2 3 Rear 7 3 3 5 3 Vehicle Geometry 4 4 3 2 I get insane oversteer now so not sure, would be good if Milestones would tell us what they do in all these sneak updates. There was a 800 mb today for Ride 5, never any patch notes. Have a good one Dylan.
@@Dyl469 The only thing that ruins the setup now is that exaggerated gyro effect on throttle, it really is too strong and feels so stupid everytime you want to throttle out of a corner you just go wide and have to let go. Otherwise it would be a delight to ride now. I feel like they have increased the braking as well. Before I could never follow the white lines fully but now on Misano for instance that long straight before the turn with the red surface mid track, I can brake so good now exactly at the white marker and come to a very fast halt without the bike skidding around, I always went off-track following the markers before. Definitely worth checking out, don't forget to test the settings I provided in my other message.
Online is more or less the same but there's this new mode called Live GP,where races are held at certain points during the day, probably will increase player base for abit
I just cant drift the bike, that would be the natural and realistic way to keep the tight line exiting corners. Gas pickup is realistic, so you should steer exiting corners by having more wheelspin. There is no control exiting besides being gentle with the throttle. Horrible and unrealstic

Tyre warmers! Now this is a good game

Looking forward to seeing some more racing it definitely looks more sturdy when braking
Love your motogp gameplay content
finally riding with the throttle! the way bikes are really ridden. now the game will focus you to brake late and deep and shoot out of the corners!
He's convinced me to get this. The photo mode and new physics looks great.
Ooooh been waiting for your review, please be good!

Just started playing this on Steam deck, great game
Looks good!!! hope the AI is decent and be awesome, thanks for the review.
Already waiting for your tips, mate 🤙
Looking Forward to your content DYL !! Lol
I think the physics on rumble strips has been improved also, do dont flip like in moto gp 22, THanks for the review, cheers mate!!!!

the centrifugal push is very much over stated, it always isnt scaled right which makes Moto 3 very unenjoyable

Front braking feeling can be improved by increasing rebound and compression damping.

Is it just me or is there way too much grip from the rear? Hardly any spin coming out of corners, bike just picks straight up even with tc on 1

I run the oversized breaks for that reason. It helps. You can play a lil more with the throttle in and out of turns more without the bike wobble
ktm with a harley deathwobble
I really like the curbs this year
I spin more, like the curbs at misano was perfect in 22 but in 23 it’s a little bit worse
No bike retrieval, no buy!
That's so weird, and Moto3 acts EXACTLY the same. I mean, they only have 50HP, how could they go straight at full throttle........
May I ask? Is this game worth buying? Because I was surprised that the game's price is 180 bucks in my country (Malaysia) on Steam (which is expensive imo even though it is around the price for other licensed sports games).
very worth it! but if you want to save money i’m pretty sure they do 10-20% discounts after the first couple of months after release on steam

I'll do some digging and get back to you 👍

Yo, what was the intro recorded from? :)
Looks like GPBikes
GP bikes
there's a selling point, Tire Warmers lol.... So Online? What is new or is it the same copy and paste as all Milestone turds.

Milestone = crap
I didn't like it, It's like the same....
This is nowhere near the same game, actually play it and stop being a critic because you’re not an a-tier driver off the rip🙄
IMHO, this 23 game is much better than the 22. You should give it a try.
Is a crap, big crap
