The Koreans have really stepped up their competition. Typically I’d have never considered buying their cars, but lately.. Wow.. I have to say they’re impressing. The new Carnival minivan looks dope too!

Been like this for about 10 years now. Most car companies after the recession really changed.
I've been a car guy for a long time and I never looked at kia's, I hardly knew they existed.. then the stinger came out and I was shocked. A couple years later i was in the market and I see the new telluride, and sorrento and it made me look twice at the stinger and it won me over. They are killing it.
Man, if I got a Carnival SX I'd have my wife drive me everywhere while I sit in the recliner in the back.
Yes KIA is a Korean company but these Kia SUVs are actually made in USA at their Georgia plant. Really good looking SUV and people are always surprised it’s a KIA.

Fantastic vehicle. I test drove the 2021 version and ended up getting the Genesis GV80, but this Nightfall edition would have been my choice if the GV80 hadn’t come to market.

The New Kia Badge allows me to Feel better getting it. Telluride might be my Favorite Kia. I Love the SX Nightfall grey wolf model and color. Hopefully they bring that back for 2022.

Thanks. Think you are the first UA-camr with the 2022 Telluride review.. I like the Logo, just not sure I want it lighter than the rest of the Nightfall Edition blackout features. I would be interested in what everyone thinks about that. I get mine on the 5th of July. Might blackout the logo when I get it. Will tint the front passenger windows immediately.

I think KIA reason to make it lighter because the front grill is already black. It was easier to black out the old logo because it was oval and noticeable. The new one is flat with no surface to make it pop out with the black grill. So they didn't have a choice to make it a silver color.
It’s a bummer that the nightfall edition still leaves the silver logos, especially on the back. That’s not going to look very good on the wolf grey that I’ve got ordered… looks like I’ll be doing some emblem work in addition to the PPF.

Dayum I am impressed that Kia made so much more equipment standard on the lower end models! I'm surprised the 10.25" screen was one of them! Although I'm a bit bummed that it doesn't have a full LCD gauge cluster, it really doesn't need it. If more cars came standard with two analog gauges with a 7" helper screen that would be very appreciated. I'd love to get one but I have no need for a 3 row SUV and don't wanna deal with the killer mark-ups. Great review, man! Short, sweet, and very informative!

For those mentioning the low gas, when I worked as a tech at a VW dealership we purposely kept fuel low on vehicles. Won't get very far if you try to steal it before you have to stop for gas. Anytime we needed to put gas in a car that we were selling, we only ever did $5.
More importantly, great review. I think it's too similar to the 2021. Not worth it to me to buy over the 2020 or 2021.
Too bad the gas tank is only 18.8 gallon. 24.5 would have been nice. Now I have to go with the Durango
i have one on order. i ordered it 3 months ago. it will be a 2022 when it arrives in another 3 to 4 months. Patiently waiting. I am getting the sx with the prestige and nightfall package. This was a great so i can see what i can expect. thank you for the update.

I ordered the same package,AWD also. Mine took 9 to 10 weeks. 1K over invoice but 500 more for my trade in vs all the other dealer offers.

I have the 2021 Telluride the green moss, chrome. I do not care for the nightfall once seeing it in person. I wished I waited for the 2022 because I love the grill with the new logo, but I do LOVE LOVE LOVE my Telluride. Very stylish and drives very smooth and this is coming from someone who was driving a 2018 E300 Benz before and had a 2016 C300 Benz before that.

Good review, Kia has set the bar with this SUV. However, the dealers have taken full advantage (MSRP+) and Kia has not responded well to the high demand. I ended up with a Toyota Highlander Hybrid, which I'm very happy with considering Kia doesn't have a hybrid option.
I have a 2021 model and love it! When on long trips, I try not to let my gas tank get below 1/2. Around home, I try to fill up close to the light coming on.

I'm still driving a '99 Ford Explorer that I've owned since 2003. It has 262k miles on it. Yes, I've taken it to the "0 Miles Left" digital marker several times with a few magical miles to spare. I've never run out of gas.
I ordered the gravity grey nightfall edition. After seeing this I should've gotten this color dark moss green. It's super nice. Great review brother 👍

Just a small note, @4:55 Telluride never had the paddle shifters from launch. Only the Hyundai Palisade did.
I also noticed at @6:05 they removed the 115v AC adapter for 2022's

The AC adapter is still there but only for Prestige SX models, this model is just SX w/Nightfall

Love this vehicle but they really should have blacked out the Kia logo on this particular edition. I like the new logo but prefer how previous years badges were blacked out on the Nightsky/Nightshade version.

You pay $1500 for blacked out grill and emblems, then they put a large brushed chrome on the front and back. There definitely needs to be a blacked out version of the new Kia emblem for the Nightfall editions.

Everything was fine actually got to the dealership in the interior scene when I was talking about the vehicle then
Dealers are selling this over MSRP because of supply and demand but mainly because they are adding dealer options that can't be removed. The 20 inch rims, navigation package, and tow package all add to the cost. The MSRP might be $37,000 but with the additions the sticker becomes $42,000. Good luck getting the dealer to remove the tow package and exchange the rims and tires.
You do a great job in telling about the cars, however, you just need to slow down a little bit. You just talk too fast. Otherwise great job.
What's going on Darius!! Again another great review. I love this truck and that color. Do you know what the color is and what trim level offers the bench seating, I'm not really a fan of the captain chairs. They need to upgrade that torque power

This one is a Dark Moss SX trim with Nightfall (Black-out) package.
From least to most expensive trims:
- LX has a bench, 18 inch wheels, white daytime running lights (DRLs)
- S has Captains Chairs, 20 inch wheels, white DRLs
- EX has a bench and 18s, white DRLs
- EX-Premium has Captains Chairs, 20s, amber DRLs, LED headlights, and Nightfall is available
- SX has Captains Chairs, 20s, amber DRLs, LED headlights, 2nd panoramic sunroof, and Nightfall available
- SX-Prestige has heated and ventilated Captains Chairs(!), 20s, amber DRLs, LED headlights, 2nd panoramic sunroof, premium leather, heads-up display and Nightfall available
I wish they let Bench or Chairs be an option for each trim level but they aren't. So if the bench is mandatory then you are looking at LX or EX.

@@randyrobineau2699 why would they add more? It's already a slap to the face of those who bought the 2021 EX and SX models. I bought the EX for the additional screen size and power lift gate. The ac controls looked better on the EX vs the lower trims. I paid 47,000. Now for 2022 most of those features are in the S and LX for less $$$. WTF.
Great review. Does the Telluride have an Entertainment Option available? I didn't see one on this trim (which seemed to be their highest trim).
Rear entertainment is a $1500 add on. Website let me add it to any trim level.

Come on, KIA. Should have included a power adjustable Steering wheel adjustment ..... Once You have that which works with the Memory Button, it's Hard to go back to Manual. My last 5 cars ( 4 Infinitis and currently a 2019 MDX) had it which works in conjunction with the auto entry and exit seats, steering wheel, and Mirrors.
That's a beautiful vehicle...wish I could afford to buy it. 😁

I have a 2020 SX in Dark Moss Nightfall. I'm one of those who don't like the new emblem. In fact I hate the new emblem, sorry. And I can't believe they didn't darken the emblem on the Nightfall trim - yuck! I would definitely be painting that flat black. But good review ! By the way, referencing your tee shirt - I actually saw Hendrix live in Denver shortly before he died. Wow, what a show that was!

So the only difference between 2021 & 2022 ARE THE EMBLEMS?
No digital display, auto tilt steering wheel, dual exhaust on both sides, tuck the back windshield
wiper under the top part of back window.
Maybe a turbo or hybrid engine.

Pretty much. All trims got some upgraded driver assist tech. LX and S got automatic dual climate and upgraded from 8 inch to 10 inch screen. S added the wireless charging pad. LX and S had the largest price increase, I think $600. SX only went up $200.

Can u kindly give information on ride quality on local roads and impact on pot holes on local roads vs highway riding. Is the ride quality soft or is the ride quality harsh or stiff. I do have 2020 Honda Pilot exl AWD and ride quality on local roads is harsh and thus I was gathering info for 2022 Kia telluride / 2022 Chevy Tahoe / 2022 Ford Expedition / 2022 Toyota Sequoia and personally I prefer having soft and smooth ride on local roads. Kindly let me know the ride quality for the 2022 Kia telluride. Thanks
I wouldn't dare test drive a car with no gas. Car warned him clear as day in the beginning of the video that it needed gas. Me personally, I wouldn't let my car go below 20 miles to empty. Like the old folks say, "If you know better. Then you will do better." Can't blame anyone but yourself. 🤷🏾♂️

There's a lot of people like me who have a big phone. Hopefully they make the wireless charge section larger in the future. I too have a Iphone 12 Pro Max. Love this SUV a lot though.

@@edraldi The only thing is I Hate Nissan & Honda. 2022 Nissan Pathfinder is nice but I hate the same boring front grill of the car. I do Love the back and 9 inch Infotainment screen is a no go. Most of the competition offers a bigger screen like I like. But the Platinum edition is nice.

It’s not wireless unfortunately
So far, CarPlay not being wireless is my only complaint. Especially since the Sorento has the wireless version.

Ugh. Not a fan of the emblem. My order got bumped and am now in line for a 2022. Did they also take away the side button on the captains chairs that fold them? Could have sworn there was one on the side and one on the bottom

You'll eventually destroy you fuel pump, once out of warranty you will pay!. Be careful and keep the gas above a quarter
While I agree that the Telluride is a fantastic SUV, KIA didn’t give the top line SX model any upgrades. Where is the Digital Instrumentation? KIA offers their Digital Instruments in the Sorento, but not in their two top models. The Telluride and Stinger. Very odd.
Because Hyundai doesn't want Telluride to be sold more than Palisade.
Also, they allow Kia to manufacture more Telluride than Palisade.

2022 Nissan Pathfinder outshines the Telluride. Full digital dash, rear center console, immersive center infotainment system with channel logo and album art on sirius XM, head up display, storage over the glove compartment and under the console too. Full true pano roof, class leading 6k lbs towing with hitch and lights plug included with tow mode, load leveling suspension and 9 speed automatic transmission. And.... It will cost you thousands less than the fat priced Telluride!
Yeah...but it's a Nissan owned by Renault. It has to prove itself first. The Telluride has been out since 2019 with no issues. Previous Nissans have CVTs and engine issues.
@@gary.s7759 what does Renault have to do with anything? Pathfinder has been out for 35 years and still going strong. CVT is gone. Check out the many reviews on the 22's. Yeah the CVT in previous generatuon wasn't great. They have fixed that now with the 9 speed automatic. Cheers!

Now I got lucky I suppose and paid MSRP for my 2021 S Trim which is coming later this month from Georgia...but yes you are 100% correct some dealers have really cracked people on them, Its their own fault though.
