The worst Riddler trophy is the one in Origins. You need to do the ENTIRE Engima Most Wanted casefile to get ONE trophy.
Damn you got us all there. I didn't think of that.
I completed it once when I was in my teens, it didn't feel as memorable upon completion. However the second time felt better because it was done during the holidays like in the game.
To this day, the hardest trophies are the Batmobile puzzles in Knight. Any puzzle where you need to go back and forth between the Batmobile and use the power winch to pull parts in and out infuriate me. Not only because they’re incredibly prone to glitching out and breaking, but because they’re so damn slow. And the training missions where you need to scan a path of question marks with the Batmobile scanner are even worse, because they’re so freaking BORING! I love Arkham Knight’s Riddler fight, but I can never bring myself to do it because the process is just so damn slow. Give me the 400 City trophies any day of the week.
Nothing to see here, just a king commenting on a boss' video.
@ClownPuncher139 I totally agree. My least favorite trophies in the entire saga are the ones in Knight. The hassle to get some of these is ridiculous. I managed to get 400 trophies in City, because that was a game I knew how to navigate with precision, and can count on being easy.
You are out of your mind on this one. 400 trophies is why I have only completed riddler once in city and I have beaten that game like 8 times. I have collected all the riddler trophies in knight like 3 times. Plus there are trophies in city that suck to get at least for me. Any trophy in city that requires gliding is such a struggle for me. I don't know if the gliding in knight is just more refined but the city gliding trophies take a long time to get especially if you mess them up as much as me.
I agree
When I'm in a hating Arkham Knight competition and my opponent is ClownPuncher139:
Bruh my mental health did NOT need to know that solution to the 4th trophy 💀
Yeah no kidding now I hate riddler again for that like what the hell Man! Like seriously why dude?
Are you stupid. That was extremely easy, and I have never used a guide for these games.
I did number 4 with batarangs 💀
that destroy my mental health
Me too hahagags
Batman arkham videos will always be remembered for helping us, he is the goat of the arkham community, he IS batman.
He’s also Ezio and agent 47
And he also cj and niko@@cantsuggestareasonablename9101
He's also Max Payne for helping us finding, and collecting golden parts for golden guns in 14 chapters.
@@abramsullivan7764 Oh yeah I forgot about that. Is it just me or max Payne and the Arkham games are very alike.
Actually the first one they do tell you. It's a gadget upgrade. That you can set off 1 at a time
You can use it in predator mode with multiple gel
The upgrade was in Asylum. In City, you start with it, and the function is mentioned in the Explosive Gel's description.
@harlannguyen4048 could of sworn was a upgrade in city also
Well that's stupid then, wait actually you are right since think I got this one instantly
Yes, it was called proximity detonation, upgrading asylum, and then continued to the next Games
Yeah I literally had to sit there studying the gadget menu for this one because I did not want to look up the trophy solution
If i'm not mistaken, the game actually MAKES you do this once when it introduces the gel.
The line launcher tightrope is told to you sometimes. I don’t know if other people didn’t get it but sometimes when gliding across Gotham a little hint displayed in the bottom right corner telling you what to press
I never got that tip. But that was probably because I thought it was a useless upgrade so I saved it for last.
@@harlannguyen4048 It's not an upgrade tho, it's a default feature in Knight. It was even shown in one of the first gameplay trailers for the game, that's how I knew you could do this and was excited for it even before the game launched lol
@@kacpernowak1535 Oh, I thought the OP was talking about City. I never played Knight.
Reason why most people don’t get the tip it’s because they typically go after the trophies before following the ninja into the sewers.
Yea I’ve seen that aswell
Another one I found frustrating was the one in the abandoned mall in Arkham Knight where you activate an orb of electricity going through tubes and you have to constantly hit a button to alter the tubing so the orb can reach the end, except this time there’s two orbs going in opposite directions that you have to keep track of at the same time.
Agreed! I can't believe this one isn't on the list
Yes and I tried using batarangs but they just kept hitting the wall because quick fire doesn’t work well 😂 I ended up using the electric charge gun while aiming sucked so bad 😂
Ugggghh i hate that one. I think there were two of those
@@altalia07there was one in intro to physics then one with only one ball then two
Hey bro there is a very easy trick to it. after each light you hit, just hit the light above it, then the light diagonally below to it. Sort of like an infinity symbol
9:57 YOUR TELLING ME THIS NOW. I HAVE BEEN DESTROYING CARS TO CHARGE UP THE MISSILES FOR YEARS!!! AND I COULD HAVE JUST TURNED AROUND!!! I’ve got the platinum on all the Arkham games and beat them all like 100 times and I just found this out.
I had NO idea there was a power box there for #4 10:01, I can’t believe I’m finding this out now
Damn I feel u 💀
Same 😭
I found it after I got the trophy and was like: why is there a random power box here?
THERE WAS POWER BOX?!
........ WHAT BRO I DIDN'T EVEN SEE THAT 🗿😭
I truly don't understand how Riddler has the time, money and resorces to just go around the city and place trophies everywhere. All just to boost his own ego and prove his own intellect is superior than Batman. Riddler truly is a sad sad man. :(
The bigger irony is smart people don't gloat about themselves.
Which just proves how stupid Riddler is!
@@nine_tails137I mean, they do when they're an egomaniac. Intelligent isn't the same as humble.
@@Treble453 Exactly! I'm still pissed over how many times Riddler rubs my failures in my face. It's like" "Shut up Edward!"
He have informant around the cities, the guys that batman do the interrogation. But yeah, related to money I think the riddler are a billionaire like Bruce Wayne hahaha
@@nine_tails137so you called someone stupid because you kept failing against them.
Seems like the riddler
6:44 this trophy right here man, I was only able to unlock it because I accidentally glitched through the laser walls while they were active, hated it so much
When I was younger I wanted to perform a 100 beat down move on riddler so bad, but all batman does is just one pumch him, I was so disappointed and angry.
Or do a Joker Takedown on him. Preferably the back breaker one.
Oh man, Same here! Especially on this one Riddler trophy in Arkham Knight, where I have to hit 6 question marks, while standing on 2 or 3 switches,
but I have to hit them within a short time frame. I tried spraying explosive gel on 3 of the switches, detonated them, then quick fired batarangs on the last 3 and Riddler kept rubbing my failure in my face, even though I was quick enough. I then did the same thing, but aimed my batarangs instead, and it worked.
Like seriously Riddler, STFU already!
10 Riddler Trophies we HATED getting as kids
1. All of them
Ha Gary Oldman reference
Not mentioning stagg’s airships is criminal. Those trophies are easily the most frustrating in the entire series.
they dont even show up on the map too, so its super difficult to find them
@@BananaNohlwhat do you mean they don’t? They do. After you interrogate Riddler’s informant. Just like with any other trophies
@@ЕгорСкорик-щ3в well maybe my game was bugged bc they were not showing on my map, i had to find them all manually😭
You need to check the interior map to see the trophy locations. Other than that, Stagg airship trophies are okay.
I think the the color memory puzzle in panessa studios deserves an honorable mention here
I don't think most people are color blind?
but I do recall someone mentioning that they have poor color perception or something?
So yeah, I can see why this would frustrate some people.
@nine_tails137
I have quite bad memory and the Letters saying Red while the colour being blue really confused my Brain
@@ThePlagueDoctor1490 Honestly, I just watched a video seeing how to do it. and based on the video, it told me the color of the words is what you had to pay attention to.
So like you said, having the word: "red" highlighted in blue, told me they meant shoot the blue "?" and so on.
But Yes, I agree that puzzle or anything to do with the Riddler drive both me and a lot of fans nuts! Even the Batmobile racing bits were frustrating as hell! So much so that I didn't even bother doing Riddler's racing challenges after clearing them.
@nine_tails137
Yes yes
I understood the Riddle
But it still confused me
I knew I had to hit the Highlighted Colour but my Brain always memorised the words more
I already managed to do it tho by noting down the Highlighted Colours on a Paper
@@ThePlagueDoctor1490 Congrats on completing it! I was just mentioning how a lot of players hate the Riddler because of BS like this(and I don't blame them). I think all of us were eagerly awaiting the chance to beat the crap out of Edward, or they simply gave up after the first try.
Me? I only do the Riddler challenges for XP and Waynetech points.
Genuinely surprised a trophy from Wonder City didn't make the list. Specifially the one where you have to grapnel boost through the weak ceiling to reveal the trophy. Line launcher tightropes as a solution at least come up multiple times throughout the series so pattern recognition can kick in, but none of the games ever had the grapnel to break a ceiling ever again.
Is that one in the subway? Where you have to get into an ice platform and then grapnel boost to break that ceiling? Just youtube’d it the other day, I would have never guessed it
There is also that one trophy in panera bread studios near stage c where you have to use the rec to power the generators in a certain order, i could never figure out what the order was until someone pointed out to me it's the various stages of life! I felt so dumb when i found that out! Pls tell me I'm not alone!
Holy shit that makes so much sense. I just did process of elimination and shit and I remember when I did it the first time around, I would note down the order on a fuckin notepad
Wait WHAT? that's the solution? I feel so dumb.
@@He-Man00 you're not alone bud, i only discovered it last month
Panera bread 😂
Never heard of panera bread , oh WAIT is that the new man ham world location.
The mid glide line launcher in Knight is told to you by the game. I constantly get the prompt to line laying mid glide all the time.
I’m surprised he didn’t say that gliding one from City where you glide and you can’t go in the water that one frustrated me as a kid.
That's a challenge though. I hate those challenges not because they're hard but because they're so unnecessary. Rocksteady went crazy with the riddler mission in City.
@@spartanq7781 I think he meant because on the outside part of the map there are these like little cage parts where your suppose to glide into and not go into the water otherwise the game is gonna put you back on top of a building, for example there’s one behind the joker’s steel mill in the water where you gotta glide through the cage area but what makes it a bit difficult is how narrow it is
@@sharpassassin1010i always thought it was a freeze blast and line launcher trophy, but we all said fuck that and glided 😂
@@TheChosenMoose01 yeah funny you said that because the first time I tried to get that one trophy behind the Joker’s steel mill I remembered I tried seeing if a freeze blast could work and I noticed there was no object or environment for the line launcher to grab onto so I remembered I went and tried gliding into it which took me a couple of tries but I got it eventually 😂
I was already a adult in 2011 when Arkham City was out, I still struggled, and quit... as of a few months ago I platinumed AC, but still struggled a bit, now I have every Rocksteady Batman plat, and beat Riddler's challenges in each one... and I never want to do it again lol
Bro I didn’t even know there was a charging meter till I saw this 10:22 😭
Batman Arkham Videos is a living legend
It's been almost 13 years since I've come to see them for the first time and getting help from them throughout Arkham City Riddler trophies, riddles and so on
THE best channel indeed.
I was 10 when I found this channel and now I'm 22
#2 frustrates me to this day. I always knew how to get it, but there were so many times when I’d grapple out and dive back in only to land on the fence instead of the next pressure plate. Plus, if you don’t have the grapnel accelerator before getting it, it can really make your blood boil
I clicked on this video praying that trophy number 7, 13:08, was on here because I figured out all of Arkahm nights trophys withought a guide until that damn trophy
I can safely say that every Riddler trophy that required you to use the Batmobile's scanner to follow a trail is the worst.
You can't even just go to the point that it leads you to just to speed things up. You have to reveal it with the scanner by following the trail
Im genuinely so glad you pointed out the dive bomb shockwave one. I had literally defeated riddler and they were the last 2 trophies to get and i left it for like a year because i had no clue on how to do it it was so frustrating!
Rocksteady made an awesome Arkham franchise, but if there is one thing I know for a fact they did terribly was the NUMBER of trophies on each game.
From what I remember, every Arkham game has more than 200 Riddler trophies for you to collect. Like, why couldn't it be just 50 trophies on each game?
I only completed the 243 trophies on Arkham Knight, especially because of the Knightfall Protocol, but I'm not doing it on any other Arkham game.
Riddler trophies are like bringing torture methods of the Middle Ages to the modern days...
Honestly, I only did the Riddler trophies for XP and Waynetech points.
The only trophies that frustrate me, are the ACTUAL trophies in the PS4 versions of the games.
Such as "a Chill in the Air", "the Curtain Falls", and "Requiem for a Killer" from Arkham Knight(just to name a few)
Cause taking no damage/not getting hit is very tedious and stressful. Even I get hit at least once in every game I play!
@@nine_tails137 I took all Riddler trophies in AK, but I didn't do these challenges (Thankfully).
They would certainly drive me insane! I'd be worse than Joker when I finished it.
@@grimreaper6060 I recently got Requiem for a Killer a few hours ago, but the no damage and perfect freeflow trophies(aka: a Chill in the Air and the Curtain Falls) are super frustrating since you have to do those not only with Batman, but Robin, Nightwing and Catwoman! Which are all DLC by the way.
That's why I decided to play the Switch ports of the Arkham games, but only Asylum and City cooperated with me. Knight has been giving me lots of problems, like the game freezing during Batmobile racing, and the game constantly restarting at the exploding chemicals plant, despite auto save triggering after escaping. And don't get me started on the terrible picture quality in Knight!
Yeah i think they were a little stupid with the trophies
I dunno, I've never come close to finding them all. But it sure kept me exploring Arkham Asylum! 😃
What I think is funny is as a kid I hated Riddler's character and the collectibles but getting older I replayed the Arkham games but I did in reverse like Arkham Knight, Arkham City, Arkham Asylum, and Arkham Origins and I made a vow that I will collect every Riddler collectible and I did and I am proudl of myself for doing it, doing this really made me like Riddler more including buying the One Bad Day Riddler comic which was really good and I dressed as him in comic-con for 2 years in a row and people were asking for pictures and it was awesome and
GothamPaldain your the goat keep up the amazing content
The second one is way easier than u think, u legit just have to stand on a pad, climb up the fence holding A or X to sprint, while holding sprint move the stick forward and batman will basically hop the fence toward the next pad. If u get what i mean or try it yourself you’ll realise how much easier it is
Jokes on you, I am a kid right now and now I know the solutions to these devilish riddles
Me: calls deadshot
Deadshot: what the f### do you want
Me:I got a job for you
Deadshot: and what is that?
Me: I want you to kill a kid
Deadshot: why?
Me: because he can easily beat the R.I.D.D.L.E.R. T.R.O.P.H.I.S
Deadshot: okay so
Me: oh yeah btw I'll also give you hundred dollars if you kill him
Deadshot: DEAL
Imagine the Arkham thugs just watching, laughing at you try to complete that 1st trophy.😂
Thug 1: “Batman? Why is he walking back and forth?…”
Thug 2: “Did I just hear him cuss at the air?”
And there is an riddler informant hoping he's not discovered
@@Daud-ix4tm😂 at that point he needs to run cause The Bat is already pissed from the puzzle
I love this video. I'm having a lot of health issues and dealing with somethings, The Arkham Games r my all time fave games. I'm older so I was like 37 or so when I 1st played Asylum and City back around 2010 2011And im sitting here laughing cuz ya saying u were a kid having issues I was a grown man thats played video games most of my life, I struggled with some of them. So thank you for the laughter. Made my day watching this video. I sent the clue to how to make origins data pack easier on an earlier comment. I'm actually replaying origins. Then ill move onto Knight as I've played Asylum and City again recently. Anyways keep up the good work. Ya gained another subscriber. Such a great video.
For the first explosive gel riddler trophy it's a feature from asylum that is locked behind an upgrade. After upgrading You have to zoom in as well in asylum to explode a single gel, i agree though unless you played asylum you wouldn't know of this feature and if your a younger kid it's not really an ability you have to upgrade for progression. or one you would even use or forgotten about entirely.
It tells you about this feature in the gadget description
I just find it quite amusing seeing this dark and serious Batman going around collecting these green neon trophies in a dead serious way without showing signs of frustration 😂
8:00 In batman arkham knight you can check all the moves in Wayne tech upgrades, actually
For me what got me were the trophies that required precise gameplay skills to get - like timed batarang ones or gliding ones, because i knew what to do and how to do it right away but i just have horrible gaming skills so it'd take me a dozen tries until i didn't mess up somewhere along the process
I hate the damn riddler trophies I haven’t even beat knight because of him
I beat him like a month or two ago (I’ll check later) and I can say, beating him after 9 YEARS is one of the BEST THINGS in the universe.
If you think Arkham knight is bad, Arkham city has like 400 +
I haven't beaten Arkham city 💀 because of him
I just watched UA-cam videos
@@Vitallor bro, I am not wasting my time watching this videos because I do what they do get them wrong even worse. I’m not spending seven hours watching tutorials and I’m really sweaty right now. Me, me me me me
I remember getting into an arguement with a guy on X that the death trap Riddler puzzles were poorly designed since you need specific upgrades to complete them or else die. He then responded with "LOL, git gud." What a jackass.
Everytime he says "the game dosent tell you" is him admitting he didn't lay attention bc the games tell you everything that he mentions
Seriously, half of these were so obvious
It dosent mention anything
Even when you put Hints on The Game tells you nothing
Sometimes the game bugs and you don't get hints. I got stuck in AK multiple times because I just didn't get the info I needed
Nope it doesnt tell you shit
For #5 what's more maddening is somewhere else on the map if I remember is one that's almost identical but doesn't require the shockwave, just a dive from high enough, so you might be inclined to think the harder one was just bugged or something if you encounter it afterwards.
I remember in my first play through of city and asylum, I never countered once because i thought it was too complicated😅😅😅
7:45 I'm pretty sure that when you are gliding and you have two surfaces on your right and left a text SOMETIMES appears telling you that you can use the line-launcer
The worst one for me is in the Arkham City collapsed streets.
It's the one where there's a breakable CEILING that you can't get to.
What you have to do is create an ice platform in the water and then grapnel boost to a specific ledge to go upwards. I replayed the game a few weeks ago and had to look it up. Embarrassing.
Oh and I just remembered another one. The generator puzzle in Knight. Where you have to power generators in a certain order. I first thought you just had to memorize the order but that felt too simple.
I tried to follow the wiring but no.
The SOLUTION is apparently in the posters. And it's so far fetched and ridiculous. The posters show different stages of life, from a baby in the womb to a tombstone. And like what, who would ever think of that
Omg for the Knight one I didn’t even know the posters were relevant. I thought it was just a guessing game
You don't need the freeze grenade just get near the water then bam.
The first one you mentioned is fucking garbage. I couldn't figure it out cause my mind was constantly going "you cannot grapnel boost, you're in the building"
@@whocares47 exactly. I can't remember any other time I've used the accelerator INSIDE
The first trophy was much easier on the Armored Edition of the game (on the Wii U), since in that game, you could explode the gel separately by just pressing them from the gamepad (which was explained by the tutorials). Which made this one far easier, since there weren’t any weird zoom tricks required
Riddler is an amazing character in the Arkham series
7:44 the game tells you this ALL the time when you're gliding around. and im pretty sure its in the guide section in which every move is shown
Yeah, i just wanted to say that. The game always remind this when you're gliding in Gotham. So, it's just someone couldn't read
for some reason i just love collecting the trophies
What did you just say ? How DARE you lile something I dont.
it's a brutal game when it comes down to the riddles + AR training is one of my favorite things in this game, it tests your abillity in gliding. once you get the hang of gliding AR becomes one of the easiest things to do in Batman and get your grapnel boost
I am going to say. Picking up the riddler throphies and resolving riddles are among the funnest parts of those games for me.
The third puzzle was really something for me. How I solved it for years of playing was I found out that at a very specific distance outside of the room, around where the bridge is, the collision of the electric grid doesn't load, but the question marks do. You line up a specific angle and shoot them. Batarangs don't work, only the batmobile.

8:50 A another way to do it. is to use the missiles from the batmobile. Took me forever to figure it out
I fucking hated Mad Hatter riddle in City and ball mask in Watchtower in Knight. Both times, I found like 3 riddles on accident. And map wasn't helpful either
I can't remember where I heard it but I remember a review for Arkham saying "for some of the Riddler's trophies, I can't tell if I'm stupid or don't have the right gadget to get it"
And that was the only thing that kept me sane trying to get some of these trophies the first time
17:29 i did not have the upgrade so i started spamming the rope launcher
When I was doing the Riddler Trophies in Asylum, I was able to figure them all out without help except for a single one in the sewers because it didn't look like I could jump onto the ledge. So when I got it and he said "you're looking these up on the internet, aren't you?!" I had a wound to my pride because I broke and had to look it up. But the SECOND time I did all the riddles, I didn't NEED the internet! Take that Nigma!
All right. We get it. You're young. I've never heard the words "as a kid" spoken SO MANY TIMES in a single video.
The line launcher one in Arkham knight threw my for a loop but I always play with the tool tips on and it DOES in fact tell you you can line launch while gliding every time 😊
STOPPING KIDS FROM SAYING FIRST IT SO ANNYOING
Yeah that's what you're doing
@@Isaacisaperson4677oh crap your right AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH wait I was only the second comment still AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
My guess is that they figured players would try to plasty explode a lot since the hint to City was found by blowing up a seemingly random wall in Asylum.
For the third trophy (the one from Arkham Knight, which requires the line launcher), I 100% remember the game teaching me how to activate the line launcher mid-air. It doesn't tell you how to do it in a scripted way. It just tells you that you can do it while you're exploring Gotham.
The fist one! I remember getting stuck for a lot of time as a kid! At the same time, I started replaying Arkham Knight two days ago and JUST NOW I found out that you can change the visuals on the Batmobile
Trophy number 4 in Arkham knight made me hate my life that I was so lucky I did it fast
Funny thing about #2, on my most recent play through (late last year) I wanted to get each trophy as I was allowed to by the game. So instead of waiting for the grapnel boost, I grappled up the crane, cancelled my grappel, and would dive bomb onto the next panel.
On the contrary, I loved them, I still love them. Because here's the thing about DC, it is an acronym for DETECTIVE COMICS! Not DRAMATIC CINEMA! Would Batman be the "World's greatest detective" if his villains didn't give him puzzles which ordinary people would be stumped when faced with? I admit after playing Arkham games for 12 years I have never gotten 100% all trophies and I probably never will, but that's not the point, the thrill is in the chase.
The person we can ALL thank for finding the trophies and getting them by thinking outside the box is really Batman Arkham Videos. Does anyone else agree with me? 🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟😎😎😎😎
The 7th riddler trophy in this vid stumped me cuz up to this point, the only thing explosive gel destroyed was weak walls, wooden walls, and Serpent Drones. I didn’t recall a time when explosive gel in game was able to destroy gas pipes as in the past. The work around was pulling a hatch open with the bat claw or plugging the pipe with the freeze blast.
I glitched my way through so many of those riddler trophies because up until this video I still had no clue how to get them, especially #3 and #4
Batman arkham videos always come in clutch when we are on the verge of insanity
8:00 as you're gliding around, it tells you that you can do the line launcher thing.
All of these except the origins one just gave me ptsd 😭. On a real note, it was a great video and definitely was a nostalgic trip
With the first one, they actually told us how to do that in Arkham Asylum. It was an upgrade in Asylum
Unless they didn't count, I'm surprised you didn't mention the batmobile riddle in arkham knight. The only way you know this exists first time round is if you check the riddler board in the map area or accidentally scan it. Theres no green text on the top of the screen, no indication on the map. That one frustrated me to no end when I tried to play ak
Maybe because it's not a trophy. but I feel you.
The reason it was super frustrating for me is because I drove a lot so when I was trophy hunting if the car was nearby it would mess up the scanner and make me think what I was ACTUALLY looking for was "obscured" or "not in frame" "too small" when actually it was the damn car 😭
@@DrEcho Yeah, it is probably why. Just thought riddles also fell under riddler trophies for this, like the enigma data packs did.
I actually really liked the Riddler challenges in City. The ones in Knight felt like a chore. Especially the ones that needed the Batmobile.
Sure. Less than 40% of the riddler trophies required the batmobile. At maximum 40% but it could be less than 30% for all I know. City had 440 riddles, knight had 243. Many of these trophies were free and easy to get, which can be said for each game. Nothing felt like a chore unless you have a low attention span and didn't put any effort into finding them during the story. Stop waiting for post game, you are encouraged numerous times by Alfred to do side quests.
I met Wally Wingert, who voiced The Riddler about 6 or so years ago at the bar inside NYPD Pizza in Palm Springs, CA. It was awesome. Really nice dude.
It’s funny because when you talked about the first one and how to use the gel, I was just shaking in my seat, saying I found out how to do that because I was just playing around with the controls! And besides, the reason why the trophies are hard and are annoying, are mostly because they want you to think outside of the box use brains over brawn.
BRO! You need to do one of these for the Trophies, such as "a Chill in the Air", "the Curtain Falls", and "Requiem for a Killer" from Arkham Knight(just to name a few).
Number 3 Riddler Tunnel is a life saver for me when taking on The Arkham Knight during the City Of Fear mission. After you complete the Riddler challenge the tunnel stays open, for some reason the cobra tanks dont follow or attack you while your in there but you can use it as a way to lore the cobras down to you and then you can easily shoot and destroy them.
Finding the trophies were tolerable because collecting them serves a greater purpose. If you collect enough then Riddler will reveal the location of a hostage he has kidnapped. And to be honest those riddle rooms were a tad bit fun and challanging.
For number four, I realized that I needed the missile barrage, (I had it with the starter Batmobile because I went the aggro route) and I had three bars filled, so without knowing about that fucking generator, I went and crashed a car or two to get it. And then I did it, and no, the line launcher quick fire is never used except for that one trophy...
If I could remember right, They’re actually was one slightly confusing one in asylum. It was in the penitentiary and I think you had to look up and see it behind some ceiling grate. you’d spend several minutes looking around the room trying to find a way up there, before getting frustrated and then realizing you had to go into the next area and find a random vent that crossed back into the previous area to get it. That just didn’t normally happen where you had to go in that crossed borders between areas
I knew the line launcher ones, but it just blew my mind about the power box that i didnt know about! The Origins trophy was easy, you put explosive gel on the two lower switches, stand facing the three remaining switches, set off the gel which starts the timer and quickfire the remaining 3. Easy peasy
This is super helpful. I’ve been stuck on that first one forever. I finally gave up on it
for #3 pushing in the joystick didn't even work on my controller because I had an older one so I had to get a separate one just to do the puzzle.
I think the worst part about 10 and 8 is that they *could* have been a cool way to reward players doing bonus content by giving you secret tips for your gadgets. And because they weren't upgrades, it would have felt extra cool since you could take this info into new playthroughs. It feels like a huge missed opportunity to just leave the player in the dark about these super helpful mechanics. (Seriously, the quick fire line launcher owns!)
What makes all the trophies from all the games worth it is that in Knight, in the Riddler bossfight, you actually get to beat the crap out of him
For the aim detonation you learn about it on a stealth mission, and actually useful in those situations
With #1, I didn't even know that Arkham City had the selective explosive gel until Arkham City on the Wii U had it as a feature. That's how much they tell you about the feature.
Watching this video makes me feel like I didn't struggle with those trophies, but the batmobile forensics scanner trophies were just a pain in the ass, let's be real that those sucked (but that doesn't beat the fact that there are even more annoying achievements to get in the arkham series, like the calender man one in city, or the "win X amount of stars in AR challanges with a specific batmobile", and those batmobile ones make me regret wanting to do 100% on the arkham trilogy)
I swear this is bringing back childhood PTSD. I love the Riddler trophies now but first time through is tough.
Taking a shot every time you say “trophy” in this video would be an interesting drinking game.
I love that I came to this video, prepared to wait the entire video for one in particular, and it was the first one lmao
The Riddler is the single most productive villain in Gotham, like how did he build all of those racing tracks under Gotham without anybody knowing; and by himself?
You know the one I hated the most in Arkham knight was one in the Arkham knight hq where you had to guide 2 different electric charges through pipes and you had to constantly hit the switches to move them to the next part while having to keep track of the other one. And using the quick fire baterang didn’t help much because it wouldn’t always hit the one you wanted. I learned that if you turn horizontally towards the one you want to quick throw it works better. I think my first try at that riddler challenge took me at least 50 tries as I was about ready to rage quit from the game. Riddlers trophies just became second nature to me in Arkham city as I played probably a dozen times. Some still really piss me off though
The coordinate trophy that led you to Founders Island in Arkham Knight drove me crazy and I'm in my 30s lol. I could never get there faster then a few seconds remaining and would always grapple to the wrong thing, either going above the trophy or missing it completely. I finally got it, but that was by far the most annoying one for me out of those race against time ones.
Fun fact, there was a time where I tried 100% the Armored edition of AC, only to find out for this trophy, either I didn’t have the upgrade, or they straight up removed the ability to detonate your gel on at a time. Either way, I was never able to pick up the first trophy on the list because of it.
Asylum definitely had the easiest ones, but think about it. Of coarse the trophies became much harder, as Asylum has a lot of trophies just hidden in places, like behind a destructible wall, or in a barred room that you need to go through a vent to get to. And Riddler says things like, "HOW DID YOU FIND THAT?!".
One that always stuck out to me in City is the one on the water near the Steel Mill. To be honest, I don't remember a single experience getting a data pack.
Yeah, a few of those trophies ticked me off. I remember the batmobile line walker trophy gave me a headache and a half. Another trophy that threw me was to save a bomb victim. I had done several of them and always knew to look for electricity but there was one where you were just supposed to shoot the guy with the electric gun. Made me feel like an idiot for spending so much time looking around the map for the loose wires.
I freaking LOVED figuring out number 3 bro!
Honestly Knight is the only game I even got all the Riddler trophies in.
I hate The Riddler challenges so much but I can’t stop myself from trying to solve everything
