"Deruny" is a traditional Ukrainian recipe. There are many versions of this recipe in various parts of Ukraine and also in the neighboring European nations. As simple as it is to make, it's a delicious and comforting dish as well. Ukraine as we know, is going though a terrible crisis as of now, defending itself from a war that has been waged upon it. This video is to reflect upon the good times, for thinking of good times gives one hope, and hope is all that keeps one going. So, here's hoping for good times in the future.

My mom put bit of garlic in a batter, not the dip. We usually just dip them in sour cream. I can eat a whole bunch of these they are delicious. She also soaks the potatoes in something so they don't change color while she works she makes way more then four, we usually have a whole pot.

@@Nathanielsmom1 Please add around 2 tablespoons of water/ potato water, around 1/4th teaspoon of salt or according to your liking, and a good pinch of pepper :)
