I might be wrong, but can’t they be nominated in a multiple categories with different films? If so, what character they should be wearing to the occasion?
Rosamund is such a stunning actor and a fabulous human being. I will watch anything with her in it. Seeing her and Carey Mulligan back together on screen after "An Education" from 2009 was a delight!
The amount of love I have for this beautiful talented woman is absolutely fantastic. Rosamund Pike is such a sweetheart and crazy talented, I'll watch any movie that has her in it. I hope someday she could win an Oscar 🤗
Ms Pike is one of those rare actors whose pure intelligence shines through in every role she plays. One can't help but think she's probably far more interesting than any of the characters she's brought to life onscreen.
Rosamund Pike considered to be one of English's Rose along with the likes of Princess Diana, Lily James, Kate Middleton, Kate Beckinsale, Julia Andrews, Keira Knightley, Rachel Weisz, Emily Blunt, and Kate Winslet. And honestly, she deserved the title! She's an English treasure, her beauty is on a whole another level 😍
How did the Oscars NOT nominate this film, absurd. Obviously the best original screenplay of the year 🏆 Yet, if you don’t sell your soul to the foreign press, they clearly won’t touch your film, no matter how brilliant it is………….
She did something funny like this for Wheel of Time too! Where she kind of played herself playing her character and then stepping back out and commenting on it. I would love to see her host Saturday Night Live, I bet she would be brilliant.
If they ever make a remake of Downton Abby in 20 years, or do a prequel set back when the Maggi Smiths character was 30 years old, wouldn’t she be the perfect person to play her!
This isn't acting to Rosamund. It's who she is. She's bossom buddies with the guy who put the cladding on Grenfell Tower - Rock Feilding-Mellen. She went to his 40th at Stanway House, see an article in the Mirror from a few years ago.
The joke of this is that 1: Elspeth wouldn't give a hoot about that only that her stories might be entertaining 2: Rosamund Pike played her in a feature film and that is a funny callback.
The interviewer is awful. She is the starry eyed intern who is overjoyed in the company of a celebrity, reading from the script and so mooned that cannot fathom the questions into anything substantial. Thank God Rosamund Pike is articulate and flowed her words beautifully.
So what happened between Elspeth and Oliver meeting at the cafe and the end of the movie? Did they get married and he poisoned her or something? It just seems weird that she would marry this guy, after her entire family died right after he showed up.
I've wondered about all that too. How did Elspeth become terminally ill? It had to have been Oliver's doing (like you said, he might have poisoned her). After the cafe encounter, I assume he seduced her at Saltburn, before poisoning her later somehow. I wish there had been more clarity in that part of the film. 😞
The scene where he hit on her, I couldn't tell if she was flattered or taken aback. Elspeth was pretty cold blooded and calculating, so I can't see her being outsmarted very easily. It was just lazy film making, skipping to the end like that. Overall a great movie though. @@ciarakristos111
There was no mention of them getting married. She was always very fond of him, especially after Felix died. She kind of took him in as a substitute for Felix. She invited him to stay at Saltburn and wrote him into her will. You don’t need to get married for that.
She wasn't "far superior" to Keoghan. Keoghan's a frickin' genius of an actor, & that's out of the mouths of quite a few actors - you know, people who actually do the same job he does, (unlike a film critic). She is, however, every bit as good as he is. Actually everybody was great in this film. Kudos to Emerald for casting so flawlessly.
@@victorcornet21 Yeah asking Barry's friends will certainly ensure the right conclusion 😂 He is a good actor but in this movie he was mediocre. He couldn't even get the accent right-it was irish one minute, cockney the next and then liverpuddlian. 💀 At least the girl who played sister Venetia got the English accent right inspite of being Irish just like Barry.
@@Pillowlips77 Sounded enough like Liverpool to me. It was actually recognizable. His accents are fine. He certainly sounds American when he does an American dialect, and he's convincing with other English accents, too. And accents aren't the only aspects of an actor's performance. While we're at it, you can also put me down as "a friend of Rosamund," was well as a friend to all the actors in this film. I have a ton of respect for them and their art. I don't see the point of putting down an actor in order to elevate another . Every actor in this film fulfilled exactly what was required of them.
@@victorcornet21 Now you're in denial BC his accent was absolutely all over the place 😂 And funny how you call my comment as putting down his performance and not the OG comment pitting his performance agst Pike's, when the interview isn't even about him! V weird for someone to bring up another actor who doesn't have anything to do with this interview. Y'all are so obsessed with that guy when he can't even do another accent except his own, meanwhile Rosamund has an Oscar nom for actually speaking in American accent..
i've seen pike die twice in my life, both in a bond movie and in saltburn. lol i really don't know where i was going with this oh wait STOP KILLING HER CHARACTERS
If a film is rubbish, it remains rubbish and I saw Saltburn in its entirety in the cinema. A film that wants to be art and fails spectacularly at that. Strongly reminiscent of Rainer Werner Fassbinder films. Boring until the end. The only funny scene was the love scene on the grave.
It wasn’t all that bad. Fassbinder films make me want to hang myself in my closet, albeit great films. The acting, screenwriting and cinematography was very good. And Keoghan ass is worth watching it until the end.
"Well, of course I can't wait to see RDJ again but he was so much more fun when he was drinking." is the most Elspeth line ever uttered in history.
💛 ...iconic
I’ve always loved the idea of actors going to award ceremony’s in character. Would make the red carpet a bigger event than it is.
Jim Carrey did in 1999 at the MTV movie awards. Kind of. Not a character from any of his movies but still a character. It's here on yotube
@@eily_b That was brilliant!!
I might be wrong, but can’t they be nominated in a multiple categories with different films? If so, what character they should be wearing to the occasion?
@@withloveyoutubechannel They would wear what they choose. Probably the award they are hopeful to win or the one that’s most practical
She just ate this role up. She was fun to watch. I loved her and Carrie’s character interactions.
*Carey
Omg love her jumping in and out of character like that! Love her ❤
I still know her as the woman from Johnny English 😂
SHE'S A TREASURE. And oh my, she citing Gone Girl melted my heart
When did she? I must have missed it.
Rosamund is such a stunning actor and a fabulous human being. I will watch anything with her in it. Seeing her and Carey Mulligan back together on screen after "An Education" from 2009 was a delight!
She’s a casual, well mannered savage. 🤣
Brilliant actress she should have an Oscar her already her performance in Gone Girl on my all time favs
I agree with Rosamund that one reaches an age where one can admire a young person's looks without being assumed to be making a pass!
Women yes
She is the most versatile actress ever. Her skills are unmatched. What a brilliant person. 😊
Yes! Pike going to the globes and just showing up as Elspeth. She needs her own show!! We’d all watch/listen to that!!f
Rosamund just must go as Elspeth to award shows. And her accepting, if she wins, as Elspeth, would be too much😄
I hope she does go in character
Rosamund is such a delight in every interview
she's so funny i love her
Saltburn would not be Saltburn without Rosamund! I'm sad I didn't get to see this in theaters.
I had to break this movie into 2 parts over 2 nights because I didn't want it to end!
The amount of love I have for this beautiful talented woman is absolutely fantastic. Rosamund Pike is such a sweetheart and crazy talented, I'll watch any movie that has her in it. I hope someday she could win an Oscar 🤗
The interviewer is just superb!

She's so beautiful and a great actress.
effing love our iconic queen Rosamund Pike
stunning interview rosamund enjoyed you
i saw her in wheel of time now obsessed
Rosamund Pike is so beautiful, so talented, so funny. i hope she win bc she really deserve it

Carey Mulligan as well; with Rosamund Pike in the goosebump-scene❣️
she is an english rose!
@@IndomitableTOh absolutely, Carey is just next level beauty
She has been nominated for a critic's choice award.
She's just, you know, wonderful... That's it!
I’m so amazed to find out she’s English. Only knew her from Gone Girl and I Care A Lot. She was FANTASTIC in both and her American accent is flawless.
She isn’t lying: getting older is heavenly.
Rosamund Pike is positively brilliant.
Probably the best and funniest Saltburn interview
That scene where she talks about the song pulp was some of the funniest shit i've scene in yonks.
"'She came from Greece. She had a thirst for knowledge.' Well, I didn't, and I've never wanted to know *anything* !" 🙃😆
With this and WoT.... she's def my new fave actress! :) she's amazing!
she's so gorgeous.
I hated her in I Care a Lot; she really played the character in that movie really well. She's always amazing in her roles.
Yes, a film for adults! Fantastic 👏
OMG SHE WAS PERFECTION
Fantastic Interview! 😂💙
GREAT MOVIE
Ross is such a delightful person
I hope Rosamund goes to the Globes as Elspeth! That would be so funny. Elspeth is ICONIC (and super-stylish)! 😁
Definitely need a spin off of hers and Richard E Grants characters
Love you Ms.Pikeee ❤

I like to watch saltburn
I hope she goes in character
i would love just to be able to watch a TV show about Her in character with Dear Poor Pamela ( This duet was amazing too but a bit to short for me )
Rosamund would be a good dinner guest

She's only 44. She got get Elrodi if she wanted to.
she got that tory accent
I want hher to play Emma Frost in an X-men movie.

I don't agree that is the film of the year. The film of the year is definitely society of the snow
Unfortunately only women can speak about men without consequence
She was good but Barry Keoghan was Oscar worthy.
Nope she was far more superior than Barry in this. Any critic will tell you that. Read Peter Bradshaw's review of this film.

The sycophantic flattery of interviewers on these shows is "the ick."

Annoyingly sycophantic interviewer. Rosamund's nonchalance is a mega turn-on.
I like the actors involved but Saltburn is farcical trash IMO and plain ludicrous, hated it.
