- Instructions for fixing an E11 error code on a Samsung microwave. This error indicates there is a problem with the microwave gas sensor preventing the use of the sensor cooling features.
The replacement part can be found on Amazon. Just search in Amazon for
Part # De32-60011A
Beautifully done. Clear, and to the point. Couldn't be done better. Thank you.
I've had this on my to do list for about two years now. But the hassle of removing the microwave oven and putting it back was not worth regaining the sensor functions. But then my door latch broke, making the oven unusable. Between the two replacement parts, I thought I was going to be paying half the price of a new microwave. So, I bought a new one and installed it and now that I have the old one out and on my workbench I'm kind of wishing I had found this video earlier. I was able to find another one on repairing the door latch. No part needed.
Now I have to decide whether to repair the old one and sell it, or strip it for parts and junk the cabinet.
Morale of the story is, things like this can be fixed if you're handy. And UA-cam is a fantastic resource for appliance repair.
Thank you for this video! We ordered the part on Amazon for $34, got it in two days, and just made the repair. Saved hundreds of dollars!
Exactly as described in the video. Solved my C-10 error issue. Well done!
Thanks for publishing this video. Been putting off tackling my E-11 error. Thanks for reference to the part # too.
VERY HELPFUL! Thank you so very much for posting this and giving every step clearly! Thanks again!
Great video. It looks like the sensor can be installed in 2 different positions. Does it matter which position it is installed?
Great video. I had this same error.
Awesome!! Thank you. Very helpful
Hey! Thanks for this. Exact same problem. Ordering my part today!!!!
Thanks for a great video, really helpfull
Thank you, that was awesome
Thanks so much 👍
Saved me $60!
Good job I will trying to fix my 😢
I had the same issue. Gas sensor was causing a code. The little compartment it lives in had a thin film of grease. I cleaned the sensor by drowning it in electrical parts/contact cleaner and giving it time to dry. Reassembled and tested. Code is gone now. Didn't spend a dime.
Well done! We have the exact same problem (code E-11); funny enough it triggered when we tried to make popcorn (exact same brand-Kirkland). I wonder if this error E-11 has anything to do with the gases coming off the popcorn. I am going to unplug the microwave for some minutes and see if it fixes the issue. If it doesn’t work then I will replace the gas sensor. Thanks for this video.
Same error , different popcorn .
Same error, no popcorn. Just reheating plates of food.
Although is not designed this way, it is possible to replace the sensor without taking the microwave down. Blame the design engineer. it should have been designed to be replaced from the front.
Open the front as if you replace the filter. You can now open the sensor enclosure as shown in the video 6:30. To remove the front of the enclosure, remove all screw attached of the enclosure (3). You can now slide the enclosure backward and pop the right hand side hinges out. The left side is a bit tricky. There are 4 hinge connections securing the edge box. 2 You can see from the left side (they look like the ones as the right side). The other 2 are the rectangle holes. They are the same principle hinges but from the inside. We don't need these , but they will keep you from moving the front panel into the box the release the other hinges. So =you can use force the open this corner, or use a screw driver to the bend the inside hinges open from the inside. (I used force) Once you go the front panel off, you can remove it from the micro wave and re bend it back in shape. Replacing the sensor is straight forward. Replace the front panel by hooking in at least the 2 left and right hinges. (20 minutes).
Would this work for a C-10 errors, says it's sensor issue with popcorn making only.
It should work to fix any of the “sensor cooking” features. If the microwave works with everything but the sensor cooking features then try this.
I get C - 10 error code also, but I’m going to give this a try and I will get back to you. Thanks for the video, big help!!
Good luck. Let us know how it goes.
@@bodee1994 I also have the C-10 error. Please post here if the gas sensor replacement worked for fixing that error. Thanks
Did you know that unplugging that microwave for 15 minutes length That it took you to replace that part reset that sensor And you did not have to replace anything I know it happened to me
What if it’s really broken?
Tried the unplug & wait 15 min. Still no workee... New sensor did the trick.
