  • Stopped up in Gainesville to watch my buddy ‪@WILDKYLE‬ play a concert on Friday night ( Check him out if you have not yet)
    And before I made the two and a half hour drive back down Orlando Mr.HuntingRocks and my self stopped at one of the drain canals in beautiful Gainesville Florida to do some shark teeth hunting.

    Those were some amazing finds! I love the sharks teeth and the pufferfish mouth plates and well as the stingray grinding plate! And that stingray barb was just an awesome find! You two did good! And Lord knows that there will never be a shortage of sharks teeth! Millions of years of sharks losing that many, there is still so many of them there still yet to find! So I'm sure you two will get even more on your next trip! And that kitty bitty tiny one was soooo cute! Awesome finds!❤

      Thank you, and we had so much fun. I am curious how many shark teeth there may actually be out there. The number has to be massively large.

    Hey, it’s my favorite rock hunting(and fossils) guide, Master Jeff! And always nice to see Mrs. Hunting Rocks joining on an adventure. Hope you are both well. (The baby shark song is stuck in my head now. 😵‍💫)
    Man, I love those upper jaw hemipristis(snaggletooth) teeth with the well defined serrations. There’s something so vicious about them.
    No 6” meg tooth, but maybe next time!

      I looked for that Meg tooth I found it's favorite food the dugong but alas no toothers

      @valiantwarrior4517 4 місяці тому

      @@huntingrocks Well, meg teeth are cool, but you found a lot of other really cool teeth. I’d even go so far as to say that there are other smaller shark species that the teeth look better. Just my opinion, as someone who has never had a shark tooth. I’ve never even _touched_ a fossil shark tooth. 😅

      @@valiantwarrior4517 we can change that ... I will say though that even though they are a million or more years old, they are still sharp as can be ( gloves are a must for shark tooth hunting )

    Great Video!!! My parents used to go to Venice Florida and find them on the beach. They had a quart jar full of the largest ones you found. Later they opened an antique store and sold them for a buck each. Oldest thing in the shop!

      That's awesome , I love finding shark teeth one of my favorite things to do in Florida. We don't have to many to find here in St.Louis 🤣🤣

    So glad your bride got to go on this adventure with you, my friend!! Great finds, and believe it or not, I think I kind of like the stingray barbs probably the best...those were so neat.

    • @huntingrocks

      She had a lot of fun. I need to get her a pair of chest waders, though she had her rubber boots but the creek was deep in spots. And I live the barbs too, you will find tons of pavers ( There chompers) but barbs are rare. I want to make a finer sifter for catching the even small teeth, I want to see how small they go 🤣
