Hey Chris. I’m seriously considering a PaleoPack for my 9 year old grandson’s Christmas gift. I would like a really nice identification book to include with it. Can you recommend a title? The kid reads dictionaries for fun but at 9 years old, I think it would still be best for the book to be heavily illustrated.
What general area in Florida do you hunt? Is it South Florida? Would I waste my time hunting in North West Florida? There is a lot of tannin in the water
It would be great to see more artifact hunting videos. Interested in seeing the different types of arrowhead in your area. Thank from sharing. Take it easy y'all. 💎
Awesome finds guys. I love your childlike wonder every time something is found. I have that too. Luckily I’m allowing that to come out more and not be embarrassed.
Wow!! I would have lost my mind, finding both shark teeth AND native American artefacts!! Great video, you two; please go back and find more treasures.
I'd call it a culbreath as well. In the probably 3500 or so year range as culbreath types are very late archaic, just before early woodland citrus points showed up.
First I have to say how much I LOVE your videos! The two of you are absolutely a joy to watch. I love that you both are so passionate about the hunting, fossils, our history and just nature in general. I have only had a few opportunities to explore where I live. Until I can try again I can live the adventurous life through you and your videos. 💕 I have learned so much from you! Bree I have never gotten into Instagram but I may just have to check it out. The collaboration videos with your friends are so fun too. I was surprised when I saw you guys at the What The Hales Ranch. I can’t wait to see what else comes out of their property. Again y’all are just a joy to watch. I hope I can find some places nearby to explore soon. Sending love from Indiana!
Great finds Cris and Bri. I love the nature shots. That big GW (mako) was sweet and the points were smokers! Congrats! Best wishes from Riley and I too.
WOW! Every time! I can't believe it! But it's right there! Imagine how many animals and even people, hunted and lived there, over Millions of years! I'm Blown Away! Thank You! Happy Hunting!
Been watching and enjoying your videos for quite a while now. I've always wondered what your education (When, where and what) is. You seem so knowledgeable to be so young.
Water color so gold & Amber.....sort of unreal greens.....knew critters would pop up & those srooomms fairy tale land had to be watching where the TREASURE was✨✨✨🎬📽️📹really to short enjoying that adventure.....📺📺🎬📽️🎥📹 MORE For SURE.👌👍💟🙆📺
Loved the video! I have a creek very similar to that on my property but I never thought about looking in the gravel beds for stuff. I'm always on the look out for arrow heads, any time we dig but so far nothing. However, there are several grinding rocks. Some are very deep so I'm sure people have been here (Santa Cruz Mts. Calif) for thousands of years. I'm looking forward to other vids from you.
That big ol' broken point you found at 5:53 or so was probably a hafted blade instead of a projectile-- I'll bet it was somebody's treasure, too, I knap flint and obsidian as a hobby and that thing must've been a beauty! Lots of hard work went into making it. Tons of large points that people find were actually hafted blades, knives with wooden or bone handles attached with tree-resin glue and sinew; arrow and atlatl-dart points broke and were lost, but you might have a good blade for most of your life! Nice! That was a *real* beauty that you found at 8:13! Daaaaaaaang... The one at 13:55 was the killer, though. I'm not good at identifying types of points, especially FL points even though I'm from there; I didn't start knapping til I moved out west. But if I had to guess, I'd say that last one might be a Broward point missing a bit of its base? REALLY nice, and it fits the size.
What a fun adventurous vid! All kinds of cool fossils and points to be found in those gravel bars. Florida definitely has some beautiful point types and material. Good stuff!! New Sub from us!!
that artesian well spot is amazing that you found we have a few here one is like 50 feet down from a hillside and omg.. the things you find there and im in michigan ive always wanted to check them out from different parts of the world im so glad i found you guys on youtube!
tell you what... you two have got my fever for the hunt in high gear. watched some of your videos and am ready for some creek hunting!! haven't hunted in a while. have a bunch of arrowheads I've found over the years. only two sharks teeth... those meg teeth are so cool. would love to have one for my Clovis frame... not many here in Alabama...shark teeth like that. happy hunting
I blame you for waking up my dementia patient that had finally gone to sleep, because I was trying to quietly watch while charting… until the snake noises made me cackle out loud like a witch stirring a cauldron.
Your excitement and joy are such great things...I know so much about it and still feel it all these many & many years later. Do you all do tic checks on each other after?
I'm a new subscriber as of today! I really enjoyed the video. I've had a lot of luck finding points and even an obsidian awl that was found in a dig about 3 feet below the surface when I was in the 8th grade. About 3000 years ago the Quivera had a large population of 30,000 in the county I live in. There's even a big intaglio of a snake with a big egg in it's mouth 9 miles from my house. As for fossils, my family found some wooley mammoth teeth in our sand pit, and a friend found a nearly complete Tyrannosaurus on his farm.
Great finds guys. Saw a few people in the comments saying you should put them back where you found them. Lol. I say they are safer in a case, being preserved and displayed for many to see for years to come. I guess your laws in Florida are a bit different than here in Missouri, but if you're doing it the legal way, I see no issue with it. Rock on.
I’d really like to see follow up info on the arrowheads, like who they might have originated from or how old they are. I was also confused on why you were able to keep these when in previous videos you couldn’t. I’d love also if you could flash pics of the animals or fish that you find. These extra touches add a lot of dimension for me. 😀 Thanks!
All great suggestions. It is illegal on any state land in Florida. Navigable waterways like rivers are state land. Tiny creeks like this are often private. It is legal on private land or on some public lands that are not FL state owned (but private property is always the safest). These particular projectile points are 2000-7000 years old and may have been knives more than spearheads. None shown here are true arrowheads, technically. I’ll be doing a lot more of the educational stuff, showing much more of the animals I find pieces from. I appreciate you watching and commenting!
Who constantly pauses the video to look for yourself like you're there? 😊 You're very luck to live there. I live in Southern Illinois we have lots of fossil coral but not the teeth!

Find of the day? That's the find of a lifetime from a fellow creek hunter
You should definitely go back to this spot bring a small colander to sift. It’s a tight squeeze for anything big. ✌🏻❤️🙂🙏
It would be great to see more artifact hunting videos. Interested in seeing the different types of arrowhead in your area. Thank from sharing. Take it easy y'all. 💎
I definitely plan on a lot more of this type of hunting and making vids of it in the very near future. Thank you for watching and commenting!

I think Bree is a keeper, she finds some of the best stuff! The arrow points are my favorite then the meg teeth! Awesome video you guys!
Well no one else said it when you sneezed 🤧 so I will Bless you Chris and great finds!
Awesome video! Bri's artifact looks like a Culbreath blade, Archaic which would date it to between 10,000 - 3,000 BP. Stellar find!
I'd call it a culbreath as well. In the probably 3500 or so year range as culbreath types are very late archaic, just before early woodland citrus points showed up.

Wow incredible finds!! That last point gave me goosebumps!! Congrats guys!!! I would love to join you on hunt sometime!! I'm in Sarasota 😁
It did the same to me. Thanks for watching and commenting! Sarasota has some pretty good shark teeth, though I have never personally hunted there.
PaleoCris, would love to do a video with ya if possible. Check us out the groundhogs channel. Thanks 😊
I would love to see you guys do some more creek hunting 👍👍
Such a cool video!!
That place is awesome.
Great episode. Great channel. Nice narration, educational, and editing. I'm on board-Subscribed. Thumbs up!
This is the best effort I've ever seen from you guys. Three of my favorite things: fungi, artifacts and fossils. Really fun to watch.
Thank you David! I've been getting much more into the fungi myself lately and plan to actually do some videos on that stuff too.
@@PaleoCris Careful! You might find yourself captivated by the third kingdom. I'll look forward to your efforts.
Best video yet paleocris 😁

Amazing finds. Wonderful nature shots. Where are the spiders? I thought you had huge ones….maybe not? Loved the elegant snake. Thanks.
Bree is rocking the Lara Croft look today!

Great day! I love the artifacts especially. If you guys are ever in NE Texas, hit me up and I'll take you on a point and fossil excursion here.
More creek hunting please!
wow bree's tip was so nice

I love the snake sounds you made 😂
the sound a snake makes LMFAO! love it!
Cool finds
Thanks!
Fun!

*Finds arrowhead* Chris and Bri: "incoherent gorilla noises"
I love you guys! Awesome find and amazing video as always!
Marry me
Love those arrowheads, even the broken ones are beautiful! Sweet adventure guys!
Have you guys ever been to the Suwannee river in northwest FL? There are some nice spots with tons of fossils and arrowheads along that river
Wow
I’d really like to see follow up info on the arrowheads, like who they might have originated from or how old they are. Another great video. I've collected 100's of teeth here in FL, but mostly smaller ones, down near Manasota Key. What part of FL was this taken in?
Who constantly pauses the video to look for yourself like you're there? 😊 You're very luck to live there. I live in Southern Illinois we have lots of fossil coral but not the teeth!
I look carefully over my clips while editing to see what I missed. 😅
Definitely more creek hunting needs to be done
You need to do it again. Be safe an God Bless
