I noticed after about 30mins into this time trial, you can brake a fair bit later into the first hard left hander. There's a white line on the pavement I've started using (just after the sand/pavement join used for brake marker in the video). You can get abit of a slide going on entry, shift up to second for the exit. I gained about 2 tenths doing this
I am Pad Driver. Before the Physics Update i was always around 1,5% behind. Since the update i cant feel the car anymore and i am just very slow. Fellow pad drivers: Are you struggeling since the update?
Getting into gold got way harder for me on the pad after this update. Still adapting, but can confirm that pad understeer is very real. One thing I've noticed is that slamming the breaks will kill the rotation, so try to ease the breaking to 40-50% when turning in.
Pad driver. 121.206 is my fastest time. I'm consistently 121.4xx. I've been pumping this time trial pretty hard, and I feel like I can't improve anymore. The limitation doesn't seem to come from the understeer for the most part (tbh after 5000km in this TT I don't even notice the understeer anymore), but managing trail braking on the 3 long sweeping left handers, consistently. Getting the extra rotation at high speed, consistently, perfectly on the racing line, in a single lap with the left trigger is too hit and miss. It's definitely the hardest time trail I've done to get within 3.0%
On the penultimate corner, where you went wide on the pad lap, it shows how much the controller limits your steering angle compared to what you can get with a wheel.
The slower you go, the more you can turn. Slow down more, and the car will turn more. (Test it by steering left to right when stopped, then left to right while moving faster)
For me on that corner it’s trying to not brake so hard and turning at the same time. For some reason my brain can’t process that one. If you go even a little over 50% or so on the brakes you can’t turn at all

I found this one a tough tt , gold keeps dropping lower and lower , your time not even top 100 now the aliens are out for this one for sure. Just managed to get 5tenths inside gold . Only a few days left so hope the fastest guys stop improving 😂
Thanks for the guide! I hate this track with a passion.. miss the apex and you're in the sand, attack the apex a tiny bit too aggressively and you get wrecked by the "sausage"... (is there a proper name for them?)
It makes very little difference. I tried it this morning from -2 to 10, and my times were within 2-3 tenths. It doesn't seem to be able to get the car turned any quicker with sensitivity on 10. It's more like a dead-zone setting, where maximum steering input is reached sooner on the thumbstick, but the actual curve doesn't change at all, meaning the car will turn just as sharply at -2, as it will set to 10 (But it does affect how much you need to move the thumbstick)
Finally, after hundreds of miles, I made it... just 0.1 faster than minimum... now waiting for some a**hole to set a new record just before the time limit ends 😂
From what I hear, VR might be holding you back a bit, get a screen positioned close to optimal FOV, you'll probly get faster time after the adjustment period

I'll assume you are new to Gran Turismo. Time Trials give you 2 million credits if you get gold, and if you read the title it specifically states what it is for. So no, it's not clickbait and if you check the comments lots of people have found it very helpful, so it's not useless either.

I'm not struggling really, more like adjusting. I got gold in the previous 2 time trials and gold in the current ones but this seems hard

What steering sensitivity do u use for pad?

Just spent about 4 hrs trying to get a gold time. Managed a 1.21.448....then realised the ABS was set to default 😭

Followed your ghost and was able to get gold on my first lap having it on. Everyone should be doing this if they want a gold time.
Cool! I tried that but missed the step in how to get silver. Following him as closely as possible and doing all these moves, silver is still elusive.
