A question ladies- do you get much milk fever from close dry cows getting a milkers ration and parlour cake, which will contain so much calcium- low cacium before calving is generally the norm? Thx..xx
No we don’t see a correlation with that being a problem. To be honest our cows get very minimal cake anyway but dry cows will be having a very small amount so it wouldn’t be enough to affect them, if we’re worried about anyone though we give them a drench to combat any issues 😊

Never would mix cows near calving with milkers might fight time enough when calved
