At what age does moving funds into an annuity make the most sense (assuming average returement age)?

You guys both didn't mention one of the most important and the main reason I like annuities, litigation protection.
America is one the most lawsuit-happy nations on the planet. A bulldog attorney can peel away your LLC or Corporation in minutes. They can easily attach your real-estate. Your 401k and IRAs can be easily accessed by court order.

An Erisa qualified retirement plan is protected against most creditors unless the owner is accused of federal criminal fines and penalties, divorce settlement cases, child support or alimony civil cases varying on the state. However it can’t be touched by most general creditors to collect so a little misleading on your part there. LLCS are good for 95% of civil litigation it’s literally the whole point of their inception lol educate yourself. Very funny by the way you left out irrevocable trusts when discussing this list fyi.

Annuities do not guarantee anything if the dollar collapses or in extreme inflation events. For those reasons, an annuities has no value to me as those are the only events I need to cover.

Even with assuming that risk, there are a vast # of other financial products that can absolutely destroy the returns on annuities lol. Glad you brought this up because they literally serve zero purpose imo
