I plan on buying Oclip. I imagine there will be many uses, but one in particular is when I get up in the middle of the night and want to go back to bed, the red light will keep my eyes adjusted to the darkness. That’s just one reason.
I got 2 of these specifically for my Tech MCT. Not sure about the blackout version but the Wiha version has a loop/sleeve on the very top inside of the front and back, and this little guy clips right into it thus illuminating all your tools when you open either side of the bag. Definitely worth getting.
Have you had any reliability issues with O Light? They seem to be very nice! I don’t know why I’m worried about reliability , I usually have at least three lites on me , while working ! ( I go back to AAA mini mags , filaments were basically the equivalent of metallic metallic toilet paper !
Hey bud looks great. Just ordered mine.😂 I carry a Carhartt backpack daily in my vehicle. It’s got my electronics some clothes etc. I’m going to thread the clip through the mollie on the shoulder straps. It’ll be at heart height and a quick push when walking in late at night and such. I also have some inventory use for it. Thanks again. By the way…I see that little Knipex box sitting there…I’ve got an idea, look forward to the review.😂
Yeah I have about 10 tools sitting on my bench off to the side… I’m thinking of doing a “Haul” video soon and lump several into one. I really like this light
I just got one, it's a little too much spotlight and not enough flood. I think it will be useful though. The moon light is a lumen and a half which seems perfect to me.
@@johnossendorf9979 yeah I like it on my toolbag, I just leave it clipped on and move my bag around with it. Also helps me see in my toolbag if I’m outside and it’s dark. I don’t need that often, but every now and then I get called out
I've got a Tech-MCT and I like the idea of hanging it from a pocket but some of the stuff I hang falls off while putting it in the truck or the crate I roll it around in. How easy is it to knock off?
It stays on pretty good. I’m sure it will come off if you rub against it while pulling in/out. I am probably just going to store mine on the inside, and put it on the outside when I need it.
Must be some crazy marketing push at O Light the last six months. I had never heard of them before this summer and now I can't go a day without seeing a video about them. LOL. This seems unique, so it will be my first one. FYI, the link to the Milwaukee light does not seem to work.
👍… I’ll check out that link. I think they send out stuff to people pretty regularly. I have bought some and they have sent me some. I’m pretty happy with all of them.
@@MORGANSMaintenance everyone seems to love them. I just don't usually need anything of that quality, but this is in my price range and fills a niche nothing else does, so it's a good place to dip my toe in
@@markkempton4579 I asked because they are sending me some stuff for their Black Friday sale… this is still going to be $29.99 (or that’s what I was told) They said they decided to run this at $29.99 all the time instead doing occasional sales.
Not to get too far of the main topic, but I'm trying to find an upscaled version of that to mount an MP2X to the inside of a control cabinet, so that I can get to my tools while sitting.
I like you blessing us after each vid, but it would be even more of a blessing if you would reveal the country of origin for each tool! Much of the time I can’t find that without a reviewer revealing it. Honestly, are you prohibited from doing so? Or are you fearing some loss of revenue from affiliate links, or maybe negative blowback?
@@jaysongoff it just honestly doesn’t cross my mind… unless the packaging just has it real big when I look at it, I might notice it. I don’t pay much attention to where things come from, just if I think they will be useful. I have bought junk made in China and USA along with the opposite being true. I don’t purposely not tell anyone. I try not to push anyone to buy or not buy anything… just share what it does and how I use it. It never matters to me if people buy it or not, just trying to help people make that decision. I will try to make an effort to mention it in the future, but I usually don’t say half the things I intend to while I’m filming. Appreciate the feedback 👍 These say OLight is based in China.
I'm more and more impressed by OLight products.
I saw this little one and it was one I really wanted. So far the ones I’ve bought and they’ve sent have been really good/

👍👍.. it is a useful light for how small it is.
great review! I like the hands free -- clip to my shirt pocket way you showed
Appreciate it. That is probably the way it will get used the most.

No issues so far with any of them. They seem to last a long time with spurt usage.
Just purchased using your affiliate link.
Appreciate that… every little bit helps me buy more tools 😂

Nice, take it that the clip has a good spring so it isn't too easy to knock off when clipped to the bag?

This looks like a great and much smaller replacement for my Milwaukee light.
I definitely like the size, just hope I don’t lose it 😂

Have you seen the new? Toolbags/pouch from klein tools
I don’t think so, my Lowes doesn’t carry much of the Mod Box / Bags and stuff
What is your Surge hanging from in your truck?
I have the Nohlster Clip on it… and then I bought a 3D printed bracket that holds the clip

Is it useful clipped on a hat or will it shine in your eyes?
On the bill of a hat it won’t work well.
If I use it on a hat, I turn my hat around backwards and clip it on my strap to change the size.

Appreciate that buddy 👍👍
