As an Olight stuff, I'd like to say this video is really good, detailed & interesting!! Compared to the things we have in-house, and show it outdoors. So nice!
Wow that was the best review I’ve seen in a while, love the examples of things people have in the house and variety of how to use it, and the walk away at the end was a nice touch to the video.
I have one and love it, I use it primarily for the red light feature and moving around at night without using white light, to make going to sleep easier. the primary light is plenty bright.
Thanks for your comment! I have found myself reaching for it a lot more than I thought I would. It is so light and the clip or magnet option is very handy.
Great little light. I made it a bit better by adding a Webcam cover frame (removing the slide) around the ON button. The slightly raised frame helps prevent accidentally switching it on.
I have the arkfeld pro and also just picked up the oclip. You can just clamp it to your collar and it gives pretty good hands free light. I think it’s the perfect brightness for what it needs to be, close up work, no need to have 10,000 lumens to spot something a mile away with something that small.
Excellent light..but I really wish I’d detected the green tint before purchasing my second Oclip! It doesn’t show up much on high mode but on low it’s unappealing. I wish the red flashing beacon were a little faster in pace that would make it much more effective in terms of protection as a warning light as a walker or jogger or also as an attraction to be seen if you needed help.
Thanks for your comment. The TopHunt V7 obviously has it beat on output but if you already have the Wuben G2 you might find that the Oclip can offer additional functionality by allowing you to securely clip it horizontally and the magnet on the back will work better in some circumstances vs the end. Hope that helps.
Earlier today I realized it had a set of red lights on it, so that lead me to this video looking for other features…. I’ve had this light almost a year and didn’t know it had a magnetic built in
A tip: When doing the brightness tests, use manual exposure. If the camera is auto-adjusting, the test is kinda useless. The size and weight comparisons were very useful though!
Excellent light. Its not a tactical light its convenient and useful- my dogs have them clipped to there collars at night when on the ranch. Good quality prouduct.
Can you please tell us if: - can it can be charged from a power bank? - when connected to a power bank are all the modes working or just the moon/min ? Thank you
My gripe with light of today are the functions. Everyone wants super bright but last seconds. I’m old school. I don’t need super bright. I just need on and off. With adequate run time
I would agree. For longer use at a higher lumen, you would probably be looking at a beefier light. Would still be good as a backup for a hike considering it weighs almost nothing. Thanks for the comment.
I bought two of these that I clipped onto my weighted vest I use during walking my dogs. The battery life is TERRIBLE on strobe mode, seriously it sucks. I have cheap Amazon clip on lights that last longer than these lights. Open to other options or suggestions of a comparable light. I wish Fenix made something.
This might help someone: I bought a Wuben E7 light, it works great, then I bought the extension tube to run a 18650 battery. Super long run times with the bigger battery, the 16300 battery wasn’t bad but I can go 2 1/2 weeks on SOS mode until they need to be charged again with the larger 18650 battery. Using 1 hour a day 4-5 times a week.
It is the Garmin Instinct Solar. I love it. Garmin Instinct Solar - amzn.to/46FC62u Garmin Instinct (w/o Solar) - amzn.to/3Fc4BZV Has GPS and Bluetooth to connect with your phone for notifications. I cannot find anything on this in the manual (states input 5V/1A) or on their website. Considering it comes with a cord with usb a on one side and usb c on the other, I would assume it does not.
You should do another short video about it in strobe mode. This used in a mugger’s face would be totally disabling, to temporarily blind him so the intended victim could get away.
It could have been so much better. If the entire back was magnetic you could have a clip attachment like it has, but also a magnetic headband attachment. It could have been very versatile instead of just being a clip light.
I definitely wouldn’t call this video “a complete overview.” What about the red function or the strobe function. Can it strobe with red? Can you adjust the light brightness on strobe or even on the red light? Who knows from this video.
Thanks for your comment. I showed the red function. Double tab for red light and press again for red signal. Triple tap for strobe, which I stated I but didn’t show for those who may have light sensitivity. There isn’t functionality beyond what I stated/showed. Sorry if I didn’t explicitly state that.
- terrible tint (=no LED options available) - non-replaceable battery (=with the tiny cell dying in 1-2 years, the entire light becomes trash) - bad clip design (=neither can it be removed nor switched correctly downside-up) - stupidly angled magnet (=cannot be attached properly to flat surfaces) - too expensive (=like everything from Olight)
@@YourEverydayGear Currently: Manker E02 but honestly I was hoping to find something newer here on YT, with more features and maybe a 16340 cell (The Olight Perun/Perun2 are nice, but on the expensive side)

Got two of these today. Very nice packaging and quality materials, and very easy to use thanks to your video.
I have one and love it, I use it primarily for the red light feature and moving around at night without using white light, to make going to sleep easier. the primary light is plenty bright.
Great review. I’ve been enjoying mine, I can clip it on anything and just use it whenever needed
Thanks for your comment! I have found myself reaching for it a lot more than I thought I would. It is so light and the clip or magnet option is very handy.
Thank you for the awesome comparison video, now I'm gonna click the buy button after seeing this video

Great comparison to things we already have
sweet review, exactly everything i needed
Good video, how long does it last for static red light? I’m considering getting one for night fly.
ive ran it for more than 2 hours at a time
I just got one and if I remember it’s 4 hours with red light.
Perfect for my night fishing missions!

No apple products in this house except for my work phone which I have no choice about and hate deeply. Thumbs up for the video though 👍!

Just plugged it into my Anker 10k mAH to test it. Yes you can charge it with a power bank and you can use all levels of brightness while plugged in.
Also, thanks for watching and your question.

Great review! Wanted to ask what kind of watch do have on? It looks sharp.
@@PTA1989 Thanks. Garmin Instinct Solar
Great review buddy thank you.
I just got one today
Function is good, I think I needs more of an output time at 300 and 100 lumens as a hiking light. Overall not bad. 4.5 out of 5.
I would agree. For longer use at a higher lumen, you would probably be looking at a beefier light. Would still be good as a backup for a hike considering it weighs almost nothing. Thanks for the comment.
Perfect for fire/ems working on a dimly lit scene. Easily clipped to a radio or radio strap.
It also helps for medical examiner work.

Useful vid 👍🏻
thank you for comparing to iphone light that really helps!
What's the case material? Metal or Plastic?
Thanks for the comment. It is made with an anodized aluminum alloy.
Does it get hot when it's been left on for a long time?
It will warm up when left on high but nowhere close to uncomfortable in the hand.
Great video sir!!
Thank you and thanks for subscribing.
Great review. Thanks !

Does it take usb PD?

So if you are using a charger with more watts it wouldn’t necessarily charge faster.

Why would the whole back need to be magnetic, it’s plenty strong already
that's cool man.. I just hit subscribe.. I have a channel, too.
