Thanks Charlie. I became an OFan and I have my own nice collection of all the different models. These look great, I'm going to check these out online also. Thanks for sharing this info. Take care.
Thanks man , gunna get the clip . Probably end up getting several for some of my various kits . Like the rectangle the most . Good light for its size .
I added a red Diffuse to a small order and I am regretting not getting the bundle with both colors. Thinking about seeing how well it works as a necklace 😂
Great reviews. I would not have given these a second look if you didn’t shine some light on the subject. Both of these would serve specific niches at my house.
Months later, I hardly ever use the blacknor red one. I did wear a tight pair of pants tonight and pocket room is limited so I hung the light off my keychain with the lanyard to have a quick and easy light to turn on.
Nice review. Any flashlight with a lanyard hole I just put a small key ring through it and then can attach a carabiner or a Key Smart magnet attachment. With this sale the Diffuse is in the same range as the Lumintop ToolAA, but I think I prefer that, especially with 2 tail cap options and a GITD diffuser. The Pokelit you can get for $18, but you can't tail stand that one.
I added a Diffuse to my Black Friday Sale order and I like it. The side button with battery level indicator is nice. The Lumintop Tool AA and the AceBeam Pokelit are both nice lights too. For some situations I like the tail switch lights (ex. clipped to my hat as a headlight), but in other situations I like the in-hand feel of the Diffuse with the side switch.
I generally like both the Oclip and the Diffuse. I did try a hybrid battery (eneloop or Ikea, hmm it was a LADDA from Ikea) in the Diffuse and I got moonlight, low, and medium, just fine. I don't know what the actual output is, but works good enough for emergency AA use in a pinch.
I use the clip on my baton 4 on my hat but I also just throw it in my pocket. I can see that no clip or magnet would be awesome for pocketing. Mine sticks to my keys every time 😂
There needs to be more lights that return to being just good “general home lights.” What is the brightness of the single AA light when using an NiMh rechargeable batteries? These are both awesome.
I nearly went yes to the oclip but no because it has a magnet and you can’t put normal AAA batteries in it so you have to carry a heavy brick to recharge it. As I would use it for hand free to read a map or use a compass the magnet would have a possible effect on the needle. I had a compass depolarised due to a hydration hose magnetic clip was sitting on a strap over the same pocket my compass was in. So no to any torch with magnet charging or sticking to stuff.
The Diffuse uses a different battery than the i5R. The i5R has a 2.4v rechargeable and the diffuse has a 3.6v(which is almost identical to a standard li-ion 14500 cell)

Sir your collection is awesome!
Both look great. I can see this flashlight thing being a problem 😂
I find myself wanting one of each!
I bought the oclip it’s pretty neat. Thinking about the other one I’ll wait till it goes on sale.

The Wuben E7 has been my ABSOLUTE EDF. Hands down
You'r collection is insane

- what about the strobe mode on the diffuse.?
OMG !!! How many flashlights 🔦do you have ? My wife would kill me if I had that many .

Maybe don't place them near each other?
Love my Oclip. Keep it in my coat pocket. Great hands free light.
perun mini 2 or the oclip?
Oclip is The best
Watched for Diffuse. You didn't explain the one-button operation. Bad you and other places, :-(.
It's the same as 99% of other olights

No one noticed the person/creature standing in the dark to the left when he swiped the light over the area?
And you can always stick the Oclip where the sun don't shine. 😁
Clip needs turned around can't clip to jacket pocket upright
I just have no use for those odd shaped lights!
