- RimWorld Anomaly played on the hardest difficulty, without Killboxes, and with pause disabled.
This is Adam's first full run of Anomaly and is meant to be an exploratory run. This run will be partially min-max, but Adam doesn't want to go 'overkill' and just gun everything down with 30 pawns. Expect to explore new items, structures, entities, events and more.
From the Golden Cube to Obelisks, Ghouls and everything inbetween, let's test out all the things!

*No Pause - I am using a mod that disables pause in every portion of the game. This means it is impossible for me to pause with a key press and the game will not pause during events or trade, making things much more difficult.
** Losing is Fun set to +500% is the hardest difficulty in unmodded RimWorld

What an action packed episode! 4 hours in and I've already seen more than enough moments where I'd have reloaded saves or even quit the whole run. And I play at 100% diff, not 500%..

Man, this whole stream was nail biting, from start to the end. There were so many times we were this close to losing.
Also, this is most certainly my most favorite ending so far!

A fun killbox setup I've been seeing online: make a room piled high with corpses then stick some deadlife dust IEDs around. Every time it is used the horde of dead grows.

Now I wanna do like a crazy mad scientist run. Like mechanator run but upgrade all the ghouls with robot parts and see how strong they can be. Use them as my only fighters.
Hellcat is just a burst fire autopistol with an ability lol same damage, very similar range, very disappointing! I was hoping for a better or alternative Assault rifle
Same, it is a bit sad two of the new weapons are basically useless/not worth it. The crossbow has its use, the stun is very valuable so it is a good addition even to an end game set up with mass assault rifles, but only as a support weapon on a few pawns. I hope the new weapons get buffed so they have more use rather than just a flavor choice of purposefully playing suboptimal.
@luka188 yeah having a pawn or 2 run stuns is awesome! I usually try to get Stun psycast and have them auto cast, so its a good alternative
Hey Adam, next time you should try the caravan trick when dealing with the nociosphere. let one person send it and then go into the cryptocasket.
Honestly watching these videos. definitely want more packs the torch and turret are awesome but the game needs a deployable wall even if its one block to patch up holes seeing as the Ai for anomaly enemies is different. Also flare mortar shells and wall spikes that damage shamblers, gorehulks, devourers that try to attack walls directly.
I would love raiders to steal an anomaly object, and it fundamentally changing their faction.

You make 500% losing is fun look easy. I've lost 3 colonies already. Probably gonna lose this colony bc of a 25+ chimera attack followed immediately by a 100+ Hate chanter Siege. Also, whats your PC specs? My game just 10hrs in on anomaly is lagging like its a 40hr playthrough.
if shamblers act like sappers would mini turrets be useful to guide them where you want them to break walls?
I like the comment about might not see drop pod raids. 4 years into my game ive seen shamblers about 8 times ghouls once and 2 drop pod raids. Besides that just normal raids and mad animals

@@AdamVsEverything tribal start basically the same thing your doing now (was by accident i swear) but i activated the monolith first week and im doing a worse job managing wealth. Ive also only seen 1 sightsteeler almost right after i activated.

@@AdamVsEverything ive developed a hatred for shamblers with my run though. Raiders go exactly where i expect but shamblers coming in groups of 60+ spreading out to random locations and attacking basically anything turns into a game of whack a mole. Im catching up with past streams at the moment so i havent seen your current run much anything like that happening with you?

What if you had cube obsessed people taking no break serum every two days? Would the forced seasonal breaks still happen?
Does the flare behave like grenades? Doe that mean it is effective through corner wall and harm target on the other side , like how you use the EMP grenades?

Noct and Noci are different root words; dark vs. pain.
They're definitely pronounced differently.
Yeah, it is 'unfortunate' as I like how the noc from noct sounds better hooked onto the sphere than the nerve/pain noc. But the latter makes more sense based on what the sphere does.A nd Noct works on noctals well sense they come out in the dark and so on.
Honestly I don't care much. Just engagement farming :-P

Could've remembered to use the 2nd nociosphere vs the cultists or yttakin raiders, but a lot of hectic stuff was happening all at once so it's understandable to not think about using it.

the bug at 7:36:50 save the char as a template, remove the old one and spawn a new one.
sphere seams to work like this if its not in its countdown and you send it it will come back dorment re cap it it will after a while go into its countdown next time you send it it will leave now you have to wait for the event again to reobtain it

I had this bug because of zoning. Expand your zone of the colonists they're in or set them to unrestricted should do it.
edit: nevermind lmao but I did had that kind of problem.

Fully maxed out zoom during combat make the viewer experience less enjoyable
Oh well I guess. The one time I wasn't zoomed out enough I took a triple rocket and nearly lost the whole run. Not sure that would be more enjoyable for anyone.

To be honest it was a huge HUGE mistake not to use the incinerator new weapon... Like HUGE its sooo usefull against hordes and hordes of enemies of any kind...(Except impids and mechs)
I've used it off stream quite a bit and overall did not like it. Fire has tons of issues in RW unfortunately. Yes, devourers would have spit people out, but oh well. I am happy it ended the way it did, I could have very well overprepared and had a dull experience.
@@AdamVsEverything I think they don't fit your playstyle. The fire weapons are really good the less pawns /enemies there are. A lone pawn being charged by a thrumbo can use the fire charge on the new rifle to set it on fire and give himself valuable breathing space where he'd otherwise just be screwed.
