Boy, I loved all the tips and tricks and it was a question I submitted at a summit but you covered more then the answer I got from the other crafter so I’m glad you made the video and thanks for sharing. 😊
My go to embellishments are enamel dots but I also use gems, pearls and sequins. I have a few bottles of Nuvo drops but I hardly ever use them because I don’t like waiting for them to dry! And I always forget about my Stickles. Happy holidays to you and your family from Alberta! 🎄
I am too quick to smudge the drop type embellishments too! Water drops, pearls and crystals for me, mostly clear or iridescent, or the occasional drawn in marks with a glaze gelli pen :)
Thank you for your tutorial and suggestions! Your videos are always informative, interesting and creative. Thanks also for the guide. Happy Holidays! and a Wonderful New Year!
Great tips! Your cards are stunning! I had to laugh when you said you use an embellishment for the lost tittle on an “i”! That has happened to me countless times!
My humble opinon on the rule of 3s or odd numbers... I think if you want it to look random and/or scattered that makes sense. but if you are doing a more symmetrical card, it can sometimes look better with even numbers. I have quite a lot of embellishments in my craftroom, but the don;t actually get out all that much. I am not sure why. Maybe it is because everytime I go to use them I feel like I am reinventing the wheel on the placement. So I'll work on having some go-to placements for them.
Haha! I was just thinking that exact thing about symmetry and how I missed saying anything about it. Thanks for the tip. And yes, I definitely find my 3-below-2-above works in many situations! Thanks for watching!
My favorite part is adding the embellishments to see what makes the card 'pop.' Love your videos and cards, especially the clean and simple ones. Thanks! Christmas blessings!
I have a reel on my instagram feed. I used the Stencils 360 tool to make the flower. instagram.com/p/CvBZxNCMCjT/ (and I have a playlist of videos using the Stencils 360 tool here on UA-cam if you're interested in learning more). Thanks so much for watching!
Thanks once again for a really fun video with soooo many cool ways to embellish…can u please tell me the name and link of the Holly stencil. Have been wanting to add one to my stash and that one is IT! Tks
I often don’t embellish because I create cards that are bold or busy enough that I can’t find any space! But sometimes I’m just afraid of ruining the card or I forget until I take a photo and notice the card looks unfinished. Taking a photo of different placement seems to help. I find buying embellishments overwhelming, and many are too big or thick for cards. I have tried making my own tiny dots with Nuvo drops though - you can make them on waxed paper or silicone in advance so they are more like enamel dots.
Happy Holidays, Ardyth! I'm a three girl. Somehow it's usually just enough. But what is it about not being able to find the embellishment I want? I have too many choices I think because I honestly go back to my favorites all the time. I have some iridescent retro stars that are getting a real workout. 😊
Great video like usual! I do have an unrelated question--do you have the new My Sweet Petunia glue press thing, or did you get that fine tip for your Tonic glue separately? Been looking for it since I have seen it in your vids. Thanks in advance
I did get the glue press, but found it uncomfortable, so I am making the most of it by using the glue bottles with the fine tips. You can get them direct from Tonic/Nuvo www.tonic-studios.com/products/nuvo-deluxe-adhesive-precision-nozzles-207n Thanks so much for watching!
One comment about pops of color for dots. They are thinner, too thin for my liking. So they do not mound up as well as something like pear effects or Nuovo.
This video was a tiny package bursting with ideas! Thank you Ardyth!
That's a nice thing to say! Thank you so much!
It's a great Friday when Ardith is here. Happy Holidays.

Your shimmer spray is like Frank's Red Hot LOL (hope you have that in Canada so you know what I'm referencing) Awesome and helpful vid friend!
