Here at Sun Distributing, we believe that the supplier of the window film should know every aspect of the business. It makes it hard when a tinter or tint shop needs support but their supplier does not know the business from one end to the other. I started as a tinter helper in 1989 and worked my way up to the point of distribution. Along the way I have put together a successful retail tint shop and know every hurdle that a tinter and/or shop owner could face. I believe that there is an extreme value to having a company with our experience in the industry having your back.

There are many helpful apps and tools available, but most software out there are not designed to tackle the specific workflow and challenges that present themselves to tinters. Tint Wiz is a CRM app designed specifically for window tint companies. Book appointments, create proposals, send invoices, schedule jobs, manage tasks, and more.

Where does all the water go? Inside the door? Does that not mess with the electronics in the door?

Everybody has there own technique after doing it for years...I prefer a black turbo squeegee to prep the glass water off... it's flexible n contours to rollups n curve glass...6inch work for me...that's what she said...now your tint solution...to little soap and bam your stuck it'll stick n you won't be able to slide the film to it's position...start over add soap...to much soap n the film will be moving around n won't stay in place...red devil to help tuck the film in if your not removing bottom gasket...anybody that's been doing it for awhile makes it look easy...practice practice practice wasting film wasting film...till you get the hang of it...and you haven't got to the part of shrinking film...anywho...Lady complained that her car was all wet after tint job...tinter came out to explain n said sorry ma'am but we were out of the dry water we had to use the wet one...haha...gotta million of'em...

I love your content and you are great teacher for the industry. I've worked at Tint World for some time now and did my training with SunTek in Canada. They taught the tuck method and cleaning procedure just like you. 👍 the only change I've made which helps in not having to heat out pinch creases is to fold your sides inwards instead of outwards. This way it keeps a beveled fold instead of a hard fold and I rarely have to heat side pinch creases. Try it out! Great vidoes as always 👏

I had a question concerning window tinting. Are dust bubbles a common occurrence , and if so, how many are considered acceptable before one would need to start over with tinting the window? Can dust bubbles be totally avoided?

I watched this again after watching your live stream; I'm sorry I slept through that this time. I think it was helpful that you showed the lower part of the tucking from the perspective of looking at it from the outside after watching you do it from the inside of the door. Because watching for that big air pocket that could have gotten away and broke the seal off from the top; definitely something to be watchful of when I'm tucking the bottom in! Thanks for the video!
You might think about renaming the video, though. I was not quite sure what you meant by the title when I clicked to watch it, but I was not thinking installation though! Excellent video! Thanks!

What is that plastic and tape called at lowes? I could not find it, so instead I use painters tape and plastic pre rolled combo from lowes scotch brand name, but the tape doesnt hold too well while its wet, and it will not stick to any chevy or gmc sierra/ silverado door panels to save my life 2014-2022

this was a great breakdown of the steps on installing the tint on a door. It's been 5 or 6 years since I tried to install some Wal-Mart Black Magic on my truck windows, wont buy that again, but I think I've learned enough from your videos to tint my truck windows. I'll buy Geo, even if I have to buy 200 ft. lol; I think I can do a couple cars or trucks and get my money back, and I'll definitely make sure I get the right tools to do it. Thanks for making the videos!

I prefer to peel the tint by biting corner and doing it with my 2 hands, do you not find that you get dirt falling from the top seal when you peel like that on the outside?. Ive been tinting 9+ years, but love your vids, alot of informative stuff. clay bars on charger/challenger lines is one I have to try, We used to just use brillo lightly, but it tends to scratch.

You could do what my tint guy did. Forcefully yank the panel off the door and pull the sweep without removing any fasteners. Then forget to put it back together and give it back to me!
Lol……you know I won’t be going back there again. This was on a brand new truck too…

If you mean the top edge that comes to personal preference but definitely aim to get little to no gap up top. Customers would prefer the edge as close to the top but a small gap should be fine
