Hello! Yeah it needs the good ol Bluetooth to run the sounds. However, I believe the alarm still works without Bluetooth once you set it. I should try that and I’ll let you know.

@@gonzcg01 So I tested it for ya! You DO NOT need bluetooth to use the Hatch Restore. It connects through your wifi. Once you save your Steps and alarm, it saves onto the device itself. Then, you can simply tap the top to go through each sleep step and the alarm WILL go off even with the phone on airplane mode! Hope this helps! I am a little confused about the sunrise setting. Does the sunrise go and then the sound is used as a fail safe almost if you don’t wake up to it? Or does the sound play while the sunrise is coming up?

Tons of alarm sounds! Actually, any meditation, sleep sound, can be an alarm sound. You can hit the snooze as long as you want! You can even adjust the time ! :) thanks for watching!
Can the digital clock light be dimmed all the way down so there is virtually no light coming from the unit (only white noise) through the night? Thank you!
Yup. You can customize it through the app. They actually didn't have it but added it later through a software update! You can set it to 24 hour time instead, turn it off completely during your bedtime routine, set a custom schedule so its only on during certain times, or dim it to 1 percent!
I bought one off Amazon listed as "new" only to get to the set-up phase and it said, "this restore is already registered to another user”. I was wondering why the packaging was a little off. I will give it another go!

Greets, does the clock and other lights fade out completely? I do not like to have lights in my room. I normally use the brookstone and I can fade the light completely. No problem! They have changed the free meditations so it seems like they switch it so often. Overall I use it most for the sleep sounds and wake up alarm.
If you have Alexa or Google you can ask it to play “pink noise” - I use mine and you can also ask either to set an alarm at 6am (whatever time) to (artist or song you want).

Hey Chris! Two questions: Do you have a certain setting to make it bright enough for bedside reading? Even when it’s on bright white I don’t find it bright enough to read a book at night. Second q: do you find the light bright enough to wake you up if it’s on your bedside table, to your side? I’ve felt like it was “behind” me and I didn’t see the light / get the sunrise benefits. Trying it across the room from me tonight on my dresser, but I’m worried I’ll miss the ability to hit snooze!
Yes! I max it all out brightness wise and there's different colors. I like the amber orange color for reading so there isn't a hint of blue light in it. I also like the more yellow warm color to wake up to and it always wakes me up. I have the hatch right next to my bed.
Well I'm sold! I have a hatch in my LO's room and the sounds are so close to real and don't sound computerized so thank you for sharing what their sounds. And I am going to be working nightshift so meditation is what I'll probably need to get to sleep during the day.

Yes! The sound quality is great but not like Bose speaker status. It sounds good and does it’s job. I played ocean waves with my sonos speakers and it felt like I was there. This isn’t like that but it helps drown out the noise
Thanks for stopping by! So let’s say you have the alarm set and you press the top to turn it off. The only way you can have the light stay on is if your step 1, the reading light is set for light only and no sound. So you’re essentially starting the reading light part of the sleep cycle. I got this as a Christmas gift and have used it for 4 nights so far. Every night between 2am - 4am, I’ve been woken up by sounds and the light turning on. :( I saw that happened to a few other people on Amazon too. Just a warning to people looking to buy that you may get a faulty one, which is unacceptable especially given how expensive this is.
Interesting. Never happened to me yet. Have you tried doing a factory reset, hold the 2 arrows. Unplug it. Keep holding the arrows, plug it back in and let go. Also make sure firmware is updated.

Yeah they have lots of great free sounds but paying monthly or yearly for something can be tough. I have premium now and there are a ton more sleep stories and mediations similar to headspace.

Whats up!!! Wow compltely forgot to talk about the snooze function. Yes, it's super easy to snooze by tapping the top. However, the sound will go away but the light stays on. The snooze is about 9 minutes. You can also tap the top twice to see how much snooze time you have left!

Yeah we realized using the same one is super comforting. You kind of memorize what they say and while you’re listening you end up falling asleep

Good idea! Headspace has tons of mediations! It's not as synced as the hatch however as it's all streamlined with lights and a larger speaker

I'm still debating on purchasing this! I have a $100 Target gift card I can put towards it which makes it muuuuch more affordable (it's highly unlikely I'd buy it otherwise). I got this as a Christmas gift and have used it for 4 nights so far. Every night between 2am - 4am, I’ve been woken up by sounds and the light turning on. :( I saw that happened to a few other people on Amazon too. Just a warning to people looking to buy that you may get a faulty one, which is unacceptable especially given how expensive this is.
Interesting. Never happened to me yet. Have you tried doing a factory reset, hold the 2 arrows. Unplug it. Keep holding the arrows, plug it back in and let go. Also make sure firmware is updated.

Hey Chris! Thanks for this! Can you tell me how many actual white noise sounds there are (I.e. not nature/fan/washing machine/other), but actual white noise. And if you know if any of them are pink/brown/blue noise etc. Many thanks! A lot of people need these for the sleep aspect. Cheers😄

Yes! Once it saves you can use it with zero internet
A subscription was a huge turn off. I can get sleep sounds for free off my Alexa.
Yeah they have lots of great free sounds but paying monthly or yearly for something can be tough. I have premium now and there are a ton more sleep stories and mediations similar to headspace.

Snooze function?
Whats up!!! Wow compltely forgot to talk about the snooze function. Yes, it's super easy to snooze by tapping the top. However, the sound will go away but the light stays on. The snooze is about 9 minutes. You can also tap the top twice to see how much snooze time you have left!
