Rean X alisa as canon makes so much sense. They interacted with each other as kids and even without them being confirmed from CS 2 and on they dress like a couple. both of their outfits pair with each other like clockwork.
Alisa and Rean is absolutely Canon Choice. the fact that there is a different Ending Special Cutscene made in CS IV just for Alisa specific Route says it all lmao (and all the buildup if u keep choosing Alisa from CS 1 is super obvious). Spoiler: in the Alisa Special Ending, there is literally a photo of Rean and Alisa together putted in a different Pictures Frame on his table inside his room with the other stuff and other photo frames he have on that table. but too bad, Falcom need To Make Rean a Harem Lord lol.
Yea, I loved the relationship between rean and alisa. I only started playing the games with trails of cold steel 3 because I only have a switch, and I loved a lot of the characters right away, and I especially loved Alisa, and I just felt that these two had better chemistry for a relationship. 😊
They are a natural couple. People say it's force-fed, but its really not. Whats really force-fed is how Rean feels for like any other female character if you were to choose them. Alisa feels the most natural. But Crow is the best
I'd argue the only one besides Alisa that doesn't feel too forced is Emma. She and Rean had a lot of time together bonding with her being the witch that was supposed to guide him as an Awakener. But I agree Alisa is definitely canon gf. They even had small little details, like for their summer outfits, Rean had a glove on one hand while Alisa had a glove on the opposite hand (maybe I'm reading too much into that one, but it felt symbolic to me).
people said it was force fed because the plot and storyline favor Alisa and gave her more natural bonding. Clearly no other girl got an intimate and close bonding moment like Alisa's Nord's conversation.
Honestly, I just wish that the game kept the romance strictly to Alisa, Laura and Emma. Those 3 are really the only ones that have some kind of connection to one another, with Alissa being the “canonical” love interest, Rean and Laura being swordsmen, and Emma serving roughly the same role as Vita does for Crow. Those 3 character development also isn’t completely gutted through going their romance routes as well, nor does it feel wrong in case of New class VII or Instructor Sara in the case of CS1 and 2.
I think Fie and Towa are ok too but I agree that Sara and new class 7 girls should have not been an option, or his sister, Alfin is understandable and realistic though
It's pretty obvious that Falcom canon these two. You could always feel that there was something something special between our two class seven sweethearts. It becomes even more apparent as the game's story went on❤

And you also have to look at how awkward her grandfather acts when we first meet him in the Cold Steel 1. Plus she probably didn't have any men in her life till she went to Class 7. With all of that in retrospect, can you honestly be surprised by Alisa's reaction when Rean fell on top of her? Fans want to nitpick about the most frivolous things, but want to look past important events. It gets so frustrating! 🫤
Just imagine if they had actually written the story with that romance in it (similar to Joshua - Estelle) rather than give us the bullshit generic affection points system with a few references here and there...
When she slaped Rean I was wary of her because how much I dislike first girl tsundere trope( because of Sakurs haruno, Naru Narusegawa, and Akane tendo). Yet to my surprice she avandoned that trope and grew. I chose her in all 4 games and never regreted it.

It’s a common thing in Falcom game In coldsteel 1-2 XSEED had the localization rights and they gave the English version more voice line in scene where Japanese version didn’t have any like Rean being silent while party members are voice Since NISA had the localization rights they just kept the original scene without adding voice lines like XSEED like the Japanese version In Reverie NISA have some scene with english voice over which was didn’t have any voice over in Japanese example would be the scene where Llyod meet Scarlet I guess all boils down money and how much the company is willing to pay voice actor for their lines
They are my favorite couple no doubt in the Cold Steel series, but because they gave me the option, i always find it hilarious to force Rean to date his sister instead! I mean, honestly... If you give me a dumb option for a romance, OF COURSE i'm gonna go for it... It's why i also love making Byleth romance the voice in their head in Fire Emblem Three Houses!
Personally I always shipped Rean with Emma, but from the dialogue and interactions I always felt that Rean and Alisa would be the canon couple if given a more linear story. Kind of like Lloyd and Elie.

We need a game where rean & alisa get married and your choices throughout the game get to decide who is rean’s best man, alisa’s maid of honor, what kind of dress alisa wears, where the wedding is, how their vows go, who marries them, & other things like that
Alisa is my ideal choice for Rean. I went Juna (first option) in reverie since i am new to the series and had no idea who any of the characters were. Unfortunately Juna has since lost my favor since she sounds like a chicken (as in the animal) when she gets hit by enemies and it annoys me. I'd have Lloyd with Rixia. But Noel an Elie are also solid choices for him imo. I don't know how old Tio is, but she looks too young for him.
I won’t say this is the the best romance but it is definitely pushed the hardest. The one that felt the most organic to me was Rean and Emma. It wasn’t forced, pushed or rushed and it had time to develop over the course of the games. Not saying Rean/Alisa is a bad paring, it just wasn’t my favorite.
Not the best couple of the franchise (that prize goes to Estelle and Joshua, off course), but nonethless an amazing one. Can't stand Rean actually, but Alisa is LOVE and Life plus best class VII girl so it's fine.

Emma would be a solid secondary choice for Rean imo, as would Altina IF she was 5-7 years older.
