OMG are you kidding?? I LOVE this song :) one of my fave songs of all time. Been curious to see the face of the band NEVE and now it's fulfilled :) thanks for posting the vid.
I miss these guys... I actually met the whole band and had beers with them in Houston, TX BEFORE I was old enough to drink ('99). I had been handing out promo tapes for the band and I went with a couple of older buddies of mine to Fitzgerald's. My buddies were old enough to drink and even though the bouncer looked at my ID, he put a wristband on me instead of X's...lol Like I was going to say something!!! Anyhow, when I met the band they actually remembered me from emails...crazy, huh?
From what I know. I used to go to their webpage and talk to the band all the time a few years ago. Everything seemed great and they had planned on releasing a new album soon. They even had some song demos you could hear and it was really good. Then out of no where; their site was gone and no one had ever heard of Neve. Like they had been removed from existance. BTW.. I also LOVE their song Absent. Amazing band...
In fact... teaching myself this song on guitar is how I learned the chord "D minor"... kind of crazy I remember that weird tidbit, but I've been playing guitar for about ten years now, so that was a while ago!
miss you guys and going to support you and hear you play it always gives me goose bumps knowing that part of my family helped to create such timeless GOOD music!!!!
I'm sure there are far more than a few others who love this song! You're definitely not alone. It was on the radio! I worked in radio when the song came out back around 1999, and was blown away when I first heard it. Still listening in almost 2025! I'm sure anyone who hears this song would love it, if they haven't heard it yet! One of my all-time favs!! That whole album is amazing! "There She Goes (Absent)," "3 Years," Drift," the list goes on! So many amazing songs by such an amazing band!!!
@@GenerationXChick - I was wondering about that, too, tbh! hehe. But she explained this in another comment where she said, "My great aunt divorced his dad. So my cousins are his half sisters."
It's me the drummer. Neve was my big break. It opened many doors and I am very lucky for that. Thanks for the good times

They were dropped by their label without any warning. It took them by surprise, too.
