I totally understand. My husband is 6'6" though and it is a bit hard to get to the cook top right now so it is more about using the kitchen vs what it would look like. We are possibly a year or more away from doing it though.

Score on your Beswick birds. Highly collectible and that one you have would fetch around $200 at least. Gosh everything is so neat. I highly agree with you; I absolutely don't appreciate how...clock-y it is. There is 0% chance it is ever getting plugged in so right now it is a giant dust collector that I polish. The previous owner wanted to keep it and it was put in the contract that it wouldn't be there. They just couldn't move it (understandably). He has no idea how much I have always disliked them; my grandparents had almost the same clock. So right now...probably not. But crazier things have happened.

Hi Melissa! This is leslye ( cabin life at Eden springs). So much has gone on. When I first started watching you my daughter was going off to pharmacy school. Well she almost finished. It’s been 7 years. She has 9 months left. And when she graduates we are moving to Florida. We spend last summer in Bradenton Florida and this summer in Tampa while she did internships for school. We picked out the area where we want to buy our next home . Fixing up this Tennessee property and going to sell all our Tennessee properties so we get exactly what we want. I am so Excited ! I have already started packing. As you might remember I’m disabled so I need to be working on this for the next 9 months. And I have help. I am very happy for your new home. Congratulations! It’s gorgeous! Love the kitchen and all the space. You have gotten a deal. I really like mobile & modular homes. They are well made. But with any home upgrades need to be made. We have done a lot to the house we are in, should make a good profit. New floors are going In in a couple weeks. Had to postpone because my hubby got sick. I hope Bare feels better soon, my husband has the big C virus right now. The past few years he was retired. And we just isolated. But 6 months ago he went back to work and he’s around lots of people. An being an electrician he around men from other states who have traveled to work at this new ford plant, that happens to be 15 minutes from where we live. So it was too good of an opportunity for him. But when the time comes we are headed to Florida. He can get a job there to. Not worried. Every time we have gone to Florida and we go often. I do not have much pain. So to live somewhere I don’t have a high pain level and where I can swim 365 days a year is the perfect prescription for psoriatic arthritis. Melissa I know I haven’t been watching but I do think of you guys and I watch your mom ‘s channel sometimes. Please tell Bare I said hello , see if he remembers me. God bless you both ! And I will watch more often. I look forward to seeing what you do with decorating your beautiful new home. I know it will be amazing. Hope resale is going well. I had a bad year last year , I became ill from a couple of my medications. But I have made some changes. Not taking as many meds and eBay and Mercari and Poshmark are picking up. LESLYE!!! Hello hello hello! It is so good to hear from you! Your daughter almost finishing pharmacy school has me a bit teary. How odd time is, right? Haha!
I'm sorry you continue to fight pain. I'm sure you have good days (or even good hours) and bad ones. I'm glad to hear that you are making changes and will move to where your body might feel less pain. We have been in the pool from 9pm-10pm about half the summer nights (when we feel well or it isn't raining) and it is lovely. There is no one there and it feels good to just soak. You are smart for making that happen and for maximizing your profit on your currently home.
I haven't been making a ton of videos so you aren't missing too much. Ebay is okay. Right now it is on the back burner, which is fine. I plan on ramping it up this fall and winter.

I lived in a double mobile home in the 80s, mine was mostly brown paneling and cabinets. Maybe different colors popular in Ohio? Yours looks light and sunny, just like you.

This was a pretty deluxe model back in the day and it had a lot of options. Our community of about 100 mobile homes have a lot of the different colorways and different options. But I think you are right. I lived in PA for years and mobile homes were darker up there. Remember we do have a lot of natural light here too so that helps.

Love it! I live in a 24 ft 1988 Terry Resort camper (made by Fleetwood). It was very 80s, palm trees and pink counter tops. I renovated it to be a bit more masculine, but kept a lot of the wood paneling, wood cabinets, and some other decor to embrace the 80s look!

please give consideration to keeping your lovely adopted grandfather clock. In my opinion it adds a graceful warmth to your lovely home and anchors the space. Think grandparents, not creepy. Usually there is a way to turn off or disable the chimes so it keeps silent and still gives you the time. Cheers

My grandparents had an almost identical grandfather clock. I would truly rather it be loved by something who would appreciate it rather than detest walking past it. I truly understand why they are loved by some...but that someone is not me. (I'm still hoping the previous owner wants it shipped to him. He wrote in the listing that it would not be in the house when we moved in as he wanted it. And then, of course, it was here.) I did write him several times and tell him I'm taking good care of it and sent him photos but I truly just don't like it and I rarely change my mind about these things.

Melissa, I absolutely love your new Doublewide. I have seen this in a lot of places where one of the spouse passes away and they sell the house with the content in it. And when somebody gets to buy a home with the content in it with good quality things, it’s a bonus. When you was doing your video at one point, I almost thought it was your mother talking your voice was so close to hers. You both got a kind and sweet voice. Prayers that Bare gets to feeling better there’s nothing worse than not feeling good especially when you get a new home and you wanna do so much to it. 🙏🏼❤️🤗

Thank you so much! It was a good more for us during this period of our lives. The community is lovely and they bring in food trucks, have a huge heated pool overlooking a lake with a fountain, a jacuzzi, plenty of events (which we haven't yet attended due to Bare's health), a gym, pickleball and tennis courts, and so much more.
This was a couple's second home and they weren't here very often. Maybe a few weeks a year and there were years when they didn't come at all. But they paid someone to clean and take care of it and it shows. We love it so far. It feels safe and all the neighbors have been happy to help when we need recommendations.

But the prior owners were in their 80s and this was only their holiday home. They weren't touched since they were placed on the shelf in 1987.

They do! The entire duct work system, the AC, and a sump pump were put in less than 3 years ago. The plumbing was updated then too. And the water heater was put in last year (2022).

Yes! My husband adores the local sandpipers here. There was SO much wicker here that we sold. We still have a bunch, as you can see. It is a bit hard to clean but is lightweight and we also love it.

Mixon's was so sad! We loved going there. Their tour through the fields was so pretty. I got to meet the daughter of the original owner and she was truly lovely!
We live less than 1 mile from Bradenton. Still Manatee County, still close to the beach :) Just a bit further out.
