    Wow! I have never felt drawn to metal- it has always seemed cold and lifeless. Yet watching Nic I really felt the metal grow! Thank you! A truly special experience to watch this. Thank you Zed. Thank you Nic.

    Great video - thank you Zed and Nic. I noticed the belt was pretty course on the grinder for the ‘tidying up’ grind - will you be talking more about what belts used to rough shape, refine and then sharpen as the video series progresses?

    • @Zedoutdoors
      @Zedoutdoors  10 місяців тому

      Hi Simon, yes in the following videos in this series, Nic talks through the belts and grinding in a lot more detail ~Peace~

    Still not got any curved spoon knives for sale on his website though. Man, I haunted that website for years and they were never available. I do fancy one of those turning sloyd's though.

    • @Zedoutdoors
      @Zedoutdoors  10 місяців тому

      Not sure if you watched my video with Nic where he talked about his main selection of curved tools, but worth checking that if you haven't done so already. Yep, his tools are in high demand and the only ones that are ready to buy are on his 'Hewn & Hone' website ~Peace~

    Hello, I'm big fan of the channel from Houston, Texas.
    What method would Nic or Zed recommend if I don't have a stationary shear set up? I'm not sure, but maybe I missed the explanation in the video. My thinking is a pair of hand shears, maybe a hack saw. Anyways, thanks for the amazing content! - ARP.

    • @Zedoutdoors
      @Zedoutdoors  Місяць тому

      Hello from across the pond! Instead of shears you can use standard snips which are readily available from hardware stores, etc ~Peace~

    Aside from Sloyd knives, does Nic or yourself make curved knives for hollowing out spoons and kuksas?
