Husqvarna 701 Omega Rally Build - First Desert Ride (Hattah, Australia)

After 60 hours of build we were finally able to take our Husqvarna 701 Omega Rally builds out to the Australian desert to hit some sand, whoops, and fast twin tracks in the Hattah area.

I own a 701, it is an awesome bike with God's gift to thumpers for a motor (especially when tuned properly) bit it is a front end heavy pig in soft sand. Good job not falling down 😆

Yeah it's absolutely amazing on the 701 - very different from the high country we did last week. Billy goats was in pretty bad shape going up & down! Thanks again for the track suggestions :)

Looks like a great bike. In reading up on it, it is fantastic. But when sitting on it, it seems a bit big for some of the rocky desert roads here perhaps. But for what you are doing, it looks perfect.

I just bought a 701 and had it in the sand here in WA yesterday. What a fat wollowing pig after riding my te 250i.
I need some suspension work asap and some tyres.
