Good day from Ontario Yes years go stub rock guards, they usually didn.t break . I found that they didn.t cut as good as old guards with ledger plates on, but with price. Yrs ago they use rivets, pain Too bad. Those wobble boxes repairs are expensive. Thanks
Find a New Holland mower..... John Deere older haybine mowers are junk! All we run are JD tractors but JD older hay equipment is a nightmare.... I have never had a good experince with any JD hay equipment

Loctite? My sickle bar parts all shake apart every time I use them. I ended up taking every bolt and using red Loctite.

Heat the burrs with a torch first.......cherry red. Allow to cool.......they will come off.

I've had very good luck with my new to me 1219 so far I really like it.
Sorry you had to suffer through a 1209. Most worthless, miserable piece of junk ever built.
