Just came across your podcast, was looking for Aaron's Sunday Night podcast. Glad to see you "branching out" Aaron! I've never had autism, but I can surely relate to you...no one to relate too. A personal relationship with God is what keeps me going each day. Looking forward to your videos.

Life is a life long Learning process. Look at all the people in middle age and older who are always fumbling the ball. Whereas some people learn not to always fumble the ball. Look at Tiger Woods, etc.

Absolutely. Doesn't matter how old you are....everything depends on your mindset, how you view life, your habits, etc.

As a person who spends a lot of time alone, I have learned the practice of challenging my own thoughts. Also known as Cognitive Behavior Therapy. So, for example, if a person gives me a dirty look, etc., instead of blame myself for it, or that it was directed at me, I say, Well, they also could be going thru something, or having a bad day and it has nothing to do with me. Rather than blaming myself. Same thing with driving with aggresive drivers. Maybe that person is having a crisis or emergency rather than they are mad at me. Or having negative self thinking. Oh, I never do anything right. I think about the things I have done right.

You're spot on, that's great. Constructive criticism from people is cool but most of the time we can't take things personally because it usually stems from somebody dealing with their own issues, amazing insight 🙏

What a nice surprise to see Aaron on this channel. I have a 16-year-old autistic daughter. A therapist said to us a few times, “She’s going to be a much more successful adult than child.” Agreed. She’s doing much better even at her age than when she was younger. At school, everybody is expected to do the same things, act the same ways and when sensory overload and social anxiety are at work, it’s paralyzing, and in my daughter’s case, it manifested as behavioral problems. Thanks for sharing your story, Aaron, both here and on your channel. I appreciate your wisdom and insight, plus as a bonus, you’re very handsome. 😊

This episode really had personal significance for me because of your struggles growing up. Being ostracized, picked on, etc., all of this happened to me. I’m not autistic, never got diagnosed, but I’ve been treated much the same way because I grew up with a vision problem. People just really found it difficult to want to be around me for some reason. And this seems to have carried into adulthood.
But I’m glad you kept on keeping on and you found away. Both of you.
