  • Fast. Clever. Deadly. Deceptive. The modern day striker has to be many things to make it to the top. FourFourTwo Films gets inside the mind of a striker, interviewing the masters of the art and the men who have to mark them including Jermain Defoe, Romelu Lukaku, Michael Owen, Martin Keown, Ledley King and many more.

But I doubt the coaches will do that. So I guess we'll just embrace it and go "all in" on striker and practice it even more. Practice striker specific stuff a lot to make him the best striker in the land.

Have to disagree with Paul Mersons opinion about goal scorers being born. Henry started as a Winger and even admits himself that he's not a natural goal scorer like David Trezeguet is. It's just about hard work, repetition and training. That hard work bred Henry into a goal machine, a mon avis.

I think that, like most things, there are some who are perhaps are more naturally attuned to certain positions, but I agree that most people can also learn most positions through hard work. For ex, I never wanted to play goalie as a kid, but later in life something clicked and I started playing and excelled at it.

But I cant freaking score a goal. Of course I do score goals, but i miss too many chances. I cant just get the Ball into the goal, without curling it around the keeper, drible the only defender wich is twenty feet away, make a fake shot... you got it.
