This is actually a great player interview. Lukaku actually gives us some real information as to his process as a striker. This is a breath of fresh air as so many players just say things like "Have a good first touch" & "Make good contact with the ball. "

He did but that doesn't justify how bad he was at Utd. I don't think you become incapable of taking a first touch and finishing properly because you bulked up a bit too much. It's United's inability to put confidence in him, give him service and coach him properly that made him flop there.

Big difference between inner self belief and being openly arrogant. Every player who gets to that level has confidence of course but you don't need to express it to everyone. Look at Messi, Ronaldinho, R9 Zidane, etc. Lukaku's not as bad as some but he came across as cocky imo.

Just goes to show, it’s little details that make a huge difference. Cara only dropped off by 2ft and suddenly he can’t roll, has to bring the ball to the front of him face on and suddenly scoring is far harder... the keeper gets a better view, it all slows down and scoring looks a tougher task... details... great video... that’s why Cara had so many appearances...

I'm just going to note that as a Flemish person(which Lukaku is) a single word spoken by a dutch(from the Netherlands) person reveals where a person is from.
I guess they're still close enough accent wise that in another language it still more or less overlaps.
