I have recently obtained a blue turmix. Its very simple, a little tempermental to get going, but soooo much easier to operate. (and its a genuine 2 bed machine.)
I love these old machines just as much as I love my Brother KH270. These old machines are worth saving. People who say they're useless are just ignorant.
I have a Knittax/ Knitmaster/ Knitking from 1953, approximately , and -I have just used it for knitting some scarves and some simple things. My problem is that my machine did'nt come with a user manual. I have tried to look at videos so that I might be wiser about different things. Just as the knobs on top of the slider and so on. Any advice on this would be appreciated.
@@singlentendre I was lucky to get one yesterday. How would I check the retaining cord? Also it is called Knit king automatic - it was made in UK, the instruction book is called Knitmaster. I thought these were two completely different companies. Appreciate your help.
I absolutely love the 4500 and all Knittax type machines. No weights. Short rowing and intarsia is the easiest on this machine of any machine.

I wish I’d seen that comment! Oh how I would have loved to contribute 🤣🤣🤣
I am impressed by their ease of use. Does anyone know where to obtain new brushes for the carriage? Thank you for this video.
Gracias espero su respuesta.....
Hola, una pregunta ustedes tienen el instructivo de la máquina Singer 888 ?
Hi there! Have you tried www.machineknittingetc.com?
Do these machines need sponge bars?
These ones, no. They have a retaining cord not a sponge bar. This one also has a very basic Ribber as well!
