Brian, I just want to say that when you give Mom a break - that's priceless. It's the greatest thing my husband does for me, and our son is 4.5 years old. That break means EVERYTHING.
I'm recovering from hip replacement surgery in Portland, Ore., and I was missing sailing, typed sailing videos into UA-cam and Voila! There was Delos. Over the last 8 days being laid up on a recliner, I've watched just about every video. I'm living vicariously through you guys. It's addicting to watch. Keep going!!!

The sea is exciting but the excitement in Brian and Karen's voice and face Everytime the baby does a new step in her young life. It warms my heart the happiness she brings the two of you. She is living the life I'm sure some negitives don't agree but I think she is happy healthy and not missing one darn thing here on land. She has it all. Sun food water bed and the mist precious,happy dotting parents ever. Safe sailing hope your 4 th was wonderful as well.

discovered your journey during lockdown in the UK and was so inspired I picked up a Topper for next to nothing, threw it in the water with no experience and successfully sailed 2 miles down stream (in about 5 minutes) and about 15 hours tacking back up the Norfolk Broads in 40 mph winds... probably the most fun and I've had in 10 years. ninja reflexes to dodge to boom. cant wait to go back out. thanks for inspiring
Hey Brian, I grew up in a little town on the coast in northern California. I've been lucky enough to catch a green flash a few times and I have a few tips. Just a little bit of elevation does wonders and a perfectly clear horizon like a sunny day after a summer rain is super important. The biggest thing that'll help you see it is don't stare at the sun until the very last moment before it disappears. Good luck man. you'll get one.

Laughing at nugget climbing up the barrier. Babies often struggle with mobility and seem pleased with their first efforts, then when they get stuck it's waaaaah, waaaaaah. Until they get rescued by big people. Babies are lovely.

Such a great community of friends to have. Captain Rick on Sophisticated Lady had an entire episode on freezer maintenance. He admitted he did this for a living before he started sailing. Brian you should bring your expertise on "distillation" to the yacht club and bring them up to speed 😊. 🤝🤝🤝👍👍👍👍

Here in SoCal the conditions are always perfect for green flashes. Saw two in 15 years in San Diego County. But I noticed each time we were 25 feet to 50 feet up on the beach front bluff when we saw it. I was on the stairs halfway up to the bluff where campsite people were watching above me. I saw the top edge of the sun's disk turn green. Then a second later the people above me cheered, but people on the beach didn't cheer. Dry, Crystal clear, high pressure is a necessity.
Hog Cay looks like such an amazing time. The Bahamas are incredible. That clip of Sierra climbing up reminded me of the Instragram clip that showed her pulling herself up using one of the lines in the cockpit! She must be so busy now! Thanks for the video - it put a smile on my face!

One of my favorite episodes to date - lots of personal feels. I was in South Caicos, TCI when Irma passed over us as a cat 5 - still cant sleep in the rain. ALSO! The organization I work for, The Cape Eleuthera Foundation, is doing the solar install in Dunkin Town.
the green flash is real and amazing! I worked on a schooner in key west with ratlines all the way up the mast and if you were good enough you could scurry yourself up and catch the green flash for a full 20 seconds or so! next best option is to crouch down low and slowly stand up to get a little more sunset that might even help you see the color variations a bit more.
I remember the first time I saw delos I was like blah blah blah... didn't feel the channel one bit... now I'm a huge fan and on standby for new episodes!! Cheers!!
Best way to see the green flash? Use binoculars. Obviously look through them at the last few seconds. Have seen plenty of them with and without bino's. Love the vids, keep up the good times and be safe out there.
Bryan, the green flash you are looking for can only be seen in deep water on a calm sea. It is the sunlight refracting thru the sea water. It is instantaneous. I myself have had the privilege of seeing it twice while at sea. First time was in the Pacific and once in the Indian Oceans, while in the US Navy. Also the closer to the surface the more likely to see it. Both times I seen it we were about 300 miles from land with depth of at least 2000 feet and no underwater rises close. It can be seen both at sunrise and sunset. Sunrise is just before it pops up and sunset is just after going down. Our Captain used to film it while at sea with a high speed camera from the signal bridge of the USS Goldsborough DDG-20. Most of the crew used to joke and named him Capt. Video. If you ever get the privilege, it is one of the most beautiful things you will ever see.
This scenery here is so beautiful and stunning.Very enjoyable! Reminds me of my trips where I take the good music like the Guns N Roses, Imagine Draongs or the Delta Parole and then enjoy the powerful feeling of the sea. ¡vamos!

I was so confused for a minute as there are two Hog Cays in the Ragged Islands. One by Duncan Town and one north by Williams Town. Thank you for continuing to show your location on Google Maps so I don't go crazy!! One of my favorite things to do while watching the videos is pull up Google Maps and see where exactly you are in the video. Yes, I'm a huge map nerd!! 😀
I had an epiphany! I've been a long time subscriber and an intermittent viewer for several years now (some times I binge watch - sometimes I don't always keep up). I enjoyed the old episodes with all of the crew changes.... but THIS season? I LOVE this season!!! The three of you make a great show. The amount of work you put into creating content (for viewers like me to enjoy) takes amazing dedication. I don't know if all those watching realize how much time, energy and attention to detail goes into every shot? Sure, you have years of experience capturing and creating content but my goodness, the quality of your videos is truly amazing (and they keep getting better). I would have thought there was a team of people behind this, but nope, its just you guys! Oh, AND I love that you take the baby everywhere you go - although I have some anxiety about it at times, LOL..... Okay, back on track... Today it occurred to me.... I HAVE IT ALL WRONG! Every month I pay for things like Nextfilx, Disney +, Cable, etc... but the majority of my TV time is spent watching UA-cam (and a lot of that time is spent watching Delos). Thank you for allowing my family and I to join you in all those far away places, from the comfort of our living room! It's time for me to finally buy you a beer (and time to buy another T-Shirt)! I have a full hip replacement. My surgery was in 1997. The dr told me to never water ski, snow, skating again. Did they tell you that too?

Had an ocean kayaking school and touring co. in Sardegna for many years and we regularly saw "the green flash." Fun video as always. Love you guys.

Here in SoCal the conditions are always perfect for green flashes. Saw two in 15 years in San Diego County. But I noticed each time we were 25 feet to 50 feet up on the beach front bluff when we saw it. I was on the stairs halfway up to the bluff where campsite people were watching above me. I saw the top edge of the sun's disk turn green. Then a second later the people above me cheered, but people on the beach didn't cheer. Dry, Crystal clear, high pressure is a necessity.
I saw the "green flash" once in my Navy career; in the middle of the Pacific on transit to Japan. One time in 24 years.
I saw it once on Maui, it lasted maybe just maybe maybe a second, maybe half a second, but it was great to see it too! Also have never seen it since.
Hog Cay looks like such an amazing time. The Bahamas are incredible. That clip of Sierra climbing up reminded me of the Instragram clip that showed her pulling herself up using one of the lines in the cockpit! She must be so busy now! Thanks for the video - it put a smile on my face!

One of my favorite episodes to date - lots of personal feels. I was in South Caicos, TCI when Irma passed over us as a cat 5 - still cant sleep in the rain. ALSO! The organization I work for, The Cape Eleuthera Foundation, is doing the solar install in Dunkin Town.
the green flash is real and amazing! I worked on a schooner in key west with ratlines all the way up the mast and if you were good enough you could scurry yourself up and catch the green flash for a full 20 seconds or so! next best option is to crouch down low and slowly stand up to get a little more sunset that might even help you see the color variations a bit more.

Best way to see the green flash? Use binoculars. Obviously look through them at the last few seconds. Have seen plenty of them with and without bino's. Love the vids, keep up the good times and be safe out there.

Bryan, the green flash you are looking for can only be seen in deep water on a calm sea. It is the sunlight refracting thru the sea water. It is instantaneous. I myself have had the privilege of seeing it twice while at sea. First time was in the Pacific and once in the Indian Oceans, while in the US Navy. Also the closer to the surface the more likely to see it. Both times I seen it we were about 300 miles from land with depth of at least 2000 feet and no underwater rises close. It can be seen both at sunrise and sunset. Sunrise is just before it pops up and sunset is just after going down. Our Captain used to film it while at sea with a high speed camera from the signal bridge of the USS Goldsborough DDG-20. Most of the crew used to joke and named him Capt. Video. If you ever get the privilege, it is one of the most beautiful things you will ever see.

This scenery here is so beautiful and stunning.Very enjoyable! Reminds me of my trips where I take the good music like the Guns N Roses, Imagine Draongs or the Delta Parole and then enjoy the powerful feeling of the sea. ¡vamos!

I was so confused for a minute as there are two Hog Cays in the Ragged Islands. One by Duncan Town and one north by Williams Town. Thank you for continuing to show your location on Google Maps so I don't go crazy!! One of my favorite things to do while watching the videos is pull up Google Maps and see where exactly you are in the video. Yes, I'm a huge map nerd!! 😀
I had an epiphany! I've been a long time subscriber and an intermittent viewer for several years now (some times I binge watch - sometimes I don't always keep up). I enjoyed the old episodes with all of the crew changes.... but THIS season? I LOVE this season!!! The three of you make a great show. The amount of work you put into creating content (for viewers like me to enjoy) takes amazing dedication. I don't know if all those watching realize how much time, energy and attention to detail goes into every shot? Sure, you have years of experience capturing and creating content but my goodness, the quality of your videos is truly amazing (and they keep getting better). I would have thought there was a team of people behind this, but nope, its just you guys! Oh, AND I love that you take the baby everywhere you go - although I have some anxiety about it at times, LOL..... Okay, back on track... Today it occurred to me.... I HAVE IT ALL WRONG! Every month I pay for things like Nextfilx, Disney +, Cable, etc... but the majority of my TV time is spent watching UA-cam (and a lot of that time is spent watching Delos). Thank you for allowing my family and I to join you in all those far away places, from the comfort of our living room! It's time for me to finally buy you a beer (and time to buy another T-Shirt)!
