@Unstung No, this isn't a "micro-four-thirds" camera either, that's a specific format and a specific image sensor size created and agreed upon by a few individual brands. the APS-C sensor in this camera (and in ones like the Sony NEX-5) is actually larger.
@Unstung This is not a DSLR. DSLR stands for digital single-lens reflex, which describes the way in which the camera operates with a mechanically operated mirror and pentaprism (that's why they're so big), this is not how this camera works... It has a large image sensor, it has interchangeable lenses and it has all the manual control and power of a DSLR, but it's not one.
@BlackSoulHero Depends where you buy it in the world & when you're asking. Prices vary wildly over geography and time, which is why I don't usually put a price in a review video, this video can't change over time to reflect accurate pricing... just google it.
blunty i love your reviews, very good detail... perfect amount of detail, great use of examples from the devices (both video and pictures)... ps you did an amazing job on ALL of these stills, i am very impressed, they look very very professional, and if you said your full time job was photographer i wouldn't question you one bit,,, good stuff mate, keep it coming!!
@eagleswe281 I was just using the stock kit lens, same one you would have got, so If you're having trouble I can only guess it's because you need to learn your way around the camera and it's settings a little better, particularly manual focus.
@pip489 That's a Cockatoo, many wild ones near high population areas have little fear of humans, especially when it means a free feed ( and probably because they know their beak is powerful enough to sever the tip of your damn finger if you piss 'em off).
Really great in-depth review Blunty. This might just be the one to get for Christmas or a 21st "wink wink" As a still photo man myself, I was very surprised at how good those photos turned out!
You know what would be an interesting video? A "Blunty3000" Christmas list special. You've reviewed a lot of stuff over the course of the past year, and it would be interesting to see what you'd suggest for people for the shopping experience.
Hmm.. I tried this camera out in the store and the quality was amazing! I was gonna buy it right there but I decided to wait and I'm glad I did! Can you do best compact cameras video, @Blunty3000 ? That would be REALLY helpful? Thanks!
I know it's not really my place to ask for things from someone providing free/helpful videos. But if possible (I don't particularly know if it would be) could you maybe do a video explaining the basics of taking pictures or recording video. As a camera specialist youtuber I'd assume you have a vast amount of knowledge. Though I do understand that 'x' amount of your viewers know most of the stuff already, so it might not be worth your time. Great video either way.
damn, I really not interested in most products Blunty3000 presents... BUt I just HAVE to watch it because he is so freakin awesome! I love the way he comments on them XD
how good will you rate the camera from 1-10 ? :) ^^ I'm considering to buy it as my first camera XD :) I'm normally using my mobile phone too take pictures XD though my phone is a Samsung galaxy s 2 :3 can the camera and the phone work together, like can you transfer a picture from the camera too the phone? :)
Thank you, it is a very capable camera but in my eyes a very ugly one. I have the small size EX2F as well and I love that camera. It's stupid but look's and feel of the camera makes me to use the EX2F more often. NX100 is capable as I said, i can use all my Pentax DSLR lenses easily on NX100 and then I have a dslr but much smaller and more portable.
Crap I meant V1... I comment too much. Oh well I like to reserch my camera before buying it nilly-willy, and this seems to be the perfect place for that.

@RecklessDrift Thanks.. was feelin' the groove on the day, it's why I stayed out all day instead of the couple hour I'd planned on.
@eagleswe281 I was just using the stock kit lens, same one you would have got, so If you're having trouble I can only guess it's because you need to learn your way around the camera and it's settings a little better, particularly manual focus.
@7footballfanatic7 Because it's one of the example photos that appear in this video.
@pip489 That's a Cockatoo, many wild ones near high population areas have little fear of humans, especially when it means a free feed ( and probably because they know their beak is powerful enough to sever the tip of your damn finger if you piss 'em off).
blunty, you're the best reviewer evahh. period.
You are my favourite person on the tube, keep up the ace videos pal!
Great idea with the Feature/Function button. It's like a Hybrid Camera. Nice Zinger at the end.
Nice review, your intro is darker than normal, your lighting broekn or testing something new out?
Really great in-depth review Blunty. This might just be the one to get for Christmas or a 21st "wink wink"
As a still photo man myself, I was very surprised at how good those photos turned out!
@wh1te5had0w I don't own this camera, the unit I reviewed was on loan from Samsung, it's been sent back now. But the answer is "several".
Most straightforward and helpful review I've come across. Thanks!!
@Nannirk Didn't realize I'd made one.
@Blunty3000
You sir, are a comedic genius.
@benhodgson92 I haven't heard that term since the pre-digital photography days of my childhood, but yeah, I guess it qualifies.
Interesting camera device. Just wondering Blunty how much does it cost in Australia Wombucks and what is the equivalent in the United States.

@Heckytorr That's the shed skin of a Cicada.
Hey Blunty, I love your reviews but do you have any coming up where you really tear a piece of equipment to shreds?
Hmm.. I tried this camera out in the store and the quality was amazing! I was gonna buy it right there but I decided to wait and I'm glad I did! Can you do best compact cameras video, @Blunty3000 ? That would be REALLY helpful? Thanks!
I e-mailed Georges Camera Store, just to tell them how good Michael is at work ;)

Oh don't I envy you. Sun and warmth!!
so, you gonna ever review the hero? :P
@t04glovern It's not the best Sunset I've seen Sydney harbor offer, but it was pretty nice ;)
damn, I really not interested in most products Blunty3000 presents... BUt I just HAVE to watch it because he is so freakin awesome! I love the way he comments on them XD
Hi Blunty!
Could you do a review of Sony NEX-5 camera?
Very useful review, thx mate.
i can't chose between the samsong nx-100 or the olympus pen e-pl1 witch one is the best for someone who is starting with photography??
@Blunty3000
How many cameras do you own now?
I noticed this on blunty's hdr video. Now this might sound ignorant but does everyone from Australia pronounce H like Heych?
how good will you rate the camera from 1-10 ? :) ^^ I'm considering to buy it as my first camera XD :) I'm normally using my mobile phone too take pictures XD though my phone is a Samsung galaxy s 2 :3 can the camera and the phone work together, like can you transfer a picture from the camera too the phone? :)

Really helpful review..thankyou :D

You're a good photographer!
the video quality is pretty good
@deathroll20 Very.
@Blunty3000 good point; thanks mate.
The way you pronounced 'herp derp' made me want to buy the camera... keep saying it.
But is it better than the nikon nx1 ?
Compact dSLRs are slowly improving, hm?
whats the price of this camera?
this is a perfect camera for me!!
i like the way you say HD :)

"Herpa Derpa"
Hahahah, good video again blunty
Nice one blunty ;)

@Blunty3000 I though you used Clams and seashells. Or was that Hawaii....You silly island areas.
Shame it doesn't have a good video mode. Thats a deal breaker for me
Sir how to do a photo sound?
@Blunty3000 really?
@whoo689 I thought it was clever ;)
Thank you, it is a very capable camera but in my eyes a very ugly one. I have the small size EX2F as well and I love that camera. Wow this looks like a pretty decent camera!! And I won't buy it from georges, I promise you.

Don't you have a high school student with a magic book to track down?
@MrMattyg143 It's a cicada shell/discarded skin. Just a little insect :)
Let me answer your answer

Crap I meant V1... I comment too much. Oh well I like to reserch my camera before buying it nilly-willy, and this seems to be the perfect place for that.
@Blunty3000 possibly in an Anime Leigh animation? (please)
@Blunty3000 nice one :)
