i know people that haven't went a day without smoking and driving ...best drivers i know ..no joke .
Yukon Ted it all depends on the thc saturation level... smoking every day becomes like being sober... take a couple days break without smoking and suddenly one bong hit can completely impair your motor skills
@@ericletellier9527 not sure what your getting at but what I said is the truth regardless of anything you say ...thx tho
So if you're a regular user and you get tested, you are guaranteed to be over the limit. And have a mandatory fine? Incredible.
Wait hours after smoking. Why? Most people who aren't even regular users don't need to wait a full hour to feel okay to drive. If you use it daily it becomes nearly meaningless. They have no idea what they're doing. Tests show regular cannabis users can pass all driving tests right after smoking! More testing should be done on regular users, and these tests need to be seen by the common idiot. It is nothing like alcohol and should not be ignorantly equated to it. But it continuously has been.
I see people on the road smoking pot in their car, and they aren't the ones on the road I end up having to worry about. That truth has actual meaning in the real world. Get off your phones! Stop driving around drunk! People who smoke only now and then may have issues. And it should be evident in the way they drive. I can't stress enough how different from alcohol it is.
It's sad that after legalization pot smokers are still seen as criminals in situations like this. No evidence of actual wrong doing is needed. And there is barely any understanding of individual effects on regular users.
They had less tools to bust you before legalization. In that way things are actually much worse if you smoke. Changes are desperately needed.
This makes me sick.
Not to mention a DUI charge will send your insurance through the fukin roof. I wish they hadnt legalized it.
Wait 8 hours after smoking a joint...Get tha fuk outta here..Eight hours
Don't worry, you can happily get destroyed on prescription pills and drive.. like pretty much everyone on the road is lol
same with drinking.. finishing the bars at 2 AM.. and, driving at 7?
Yaaah....
Weed? Seen a few who DRIVE while toking... and, no, not good.
Plz grow up or get the fuck off the road.
You should do a separate driving test to see if you can drive stoned. And get a specific license to do so
they did it already in the United states that's why they dont want to admit that Canada is running on it's own facts instead of centuries of facts and proof including medical studies..they did the test in the states with a us state trooper ..he stated that there is very small sign too say a person is not capable of driving and they see in cannabis solely study that people dont drive when they are to high they see the desire of driving under influence is alcohol because alcohol changes perception cannabis is a state of euphoric effect. this is a proven fact medically that the opp dont want to admit...that when people are smoking too much cannabis they dont drive they sleep on a couch....9 out of 10 in raids pot heads found snuggling in bed...alcohol holds the world record of making people do bad decisions... we all been to prom
License S1, S2, and S.
The cop said they can “request” a blood sample. That is a long way from legally demanding a blood sample.
One joint, five hours after!? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Holy shit. It's great to see the CAA is all aboard the reefer madness train.
The Allen Expressway speed is out of control limit is 80 and cars going 180. Many People drive high on highways like the Allen and Hwy 401.
With THC, it's not a matter of hours, but depending on how much and how often you smoke, it can be days before there is no THC left in your system. Big difference from alcohol.
A paddle board 🤣😂 you have to be kidding me.
Sooooo STILL haven't answered the question of when you can drive after smoking. He just says "if you're going to smoke, don't drive." So, like don't drive for a week or 3 months or?
Can't be charging people if the law isn't defined properly. Good luck winning in court.
What about people who dont feel a damn thing 15-30 mins after? I remember the first times i tried it when i did it twice a year, i was f*cked for 6-8 hours, now it just kinda gives me a buzz, and im fine within 30 minutes. Joints and edibles dont effect me at all either.
First off I'm a medical cannabis licensed patient, I smoke mostly at night but when nerves start acting up and I can walk or sit or lay down, I smoke or consume canabus. How can I legally tell if I'm fine to drive, the effect of cannabis is significantly different on me vs the next person. I can smoke a joint and in a hour feel "sober" or I can eat edibles and feel ok psychologically and not feel the same effects. Canibus is my medicine.
At the end she says after ten hours and your still high? Lol where can I get a joint of that lady.
Rod Soltau me too fuck sounds incredible
Definitely not from the legal dispensaries.
When driving with cannabis in your trunk and you say "in the original sealed packaging" do you mean "sealed" as in the child safety lid is closed, or still unopened with the Duty Paid sticker un-ripped ?
www.ontario.ca/laws/statute/17c26#BK12
Section 12 sub section 2 article b says its fine to be in just a bag OR otherwise away from the driver...so stick it in a ziploc bag and call it a day
Criminal to operate a kayak high? Wtf
The persecution of harmless, innocent THC users has taken a huge step forward under JT's governance. Until we have a strong political voice, the abuse will continue. It has always been an outrage, and it has gotten far worse!
I do not believe I heard a definitive answer, other than the subjective opinion of the officer based on a test that has been created by "experts". Before the whole legalization of cannabis, the roadside test was inadmissible in court as was the roadside breathalyzer. Court evidence was based on either a blood sample or by a "Evidentiary BAC" level being determined by a trained officer on each shift that had training on a very precise machine at the station. I do not like the idea, that i could be charged due to the "opinion" of someone with a grade 12 education who is in his twentieth year of life.
I was pulled over during the winter, and was possibly was a tad too inquisitive for their liking. They wanted to bust my balls and said ok, righty then, we'll have you do the "Flying Wallendas" test. I said i'd love to, but my ankle is sprained. I'll do a math test instead. I've taught high school math. They said no that won't do. I then said righty then I'll leave my car here and take the test with the machine that goes "ping", or a blood, if you so desire. I asked though if I could get two vials drawn, as my cholesterol was also due for testing. Basically, they said fuck off now. i actually wanted a date with the machine that goes "ping". They were being a tad bully like, in my case, when i said i wasn't a "Flying Wallenda".
What’s the legality of the police making someone perform any of those tests is it legal to say no the best thing is to keep your mouth shut and ask for a lawyer
I wonder how many criminal paddle boaters there are out there XD
Dont know..But they all be stoned for sure
As much as this is educational never take a police officer's advice. Contact a lawyer if you need to know about the law.
Regular users who are normal individuals are fine. I've been driving for 10+ years and I cant remember when I wasn't atleast a little high. No accidents, no tickets.
Wait a few hours or even 8 hours after smoking 1 joint? I'm gonna feel the same way, maybe even more tired. Lol this shit is crazy
Doctors can prescribe thing that make you drowsy as fuck for the first few weeks, but after we are used to it we can take it and drive with no legal infractions yet this is still a thing??
A canoe??
What stoner or drunk doesn’t already have it in their system. I was in jail with a guy who had seizures because he was a alcoholic and he had a doctors note legally the jail had to give him one beer a day or he would die from having constant seizures. If it’s in their system and you don’t notice it and they’re the best drivers out there. I don’t recommend it. But it does happen everyday. Just be safe and be responsible and don’t forget to follow the rules. Arrive alive as they say.
So now that everyone is allowed 4 plants.... How do you properly seal that to the satisfaction of the government? Is a bag ok? A mason jar?
He said original packaging lmao.
So how ever you package after harvest is good just don't change it up.
@@stevetimmerman3087 how does one differentiate illegal cannabis in a mason jar or home grown is the issue I'm bringing up. That's why they want it in OCS or LP containers because if it's in another container it's origins are not verifiable. Thier stipulation on packaging is moot because there is no "regulated packaging" for self cultivated cannabis. The law as it's described is bias against those who choose not to shop at a government store. I feel they have over looked this and need to give more complete information.
OPP said ziploc bag in the trunk is also sufficient
www.ontario.ca/laws/statute/17c26#BK12
Section 12 sub section 2 article b says it can be in sealed bag OR otherwise away from the driver
Holy fuck if you are feeling the effects 10 hours later...... hit me up because we know that's not OCS shit.
"Blood demand" sounding like some Big Brother shit.. They can now demand our blood?? As a trypanaphobe this sounds like a living nightmare.
The first thing that was mentioned (a horse) and his very first response is "oh I dont know"... well you should fucking know that's why they're asking you the questions!!!!!
What about my inflatable flamingo?have to be high to rip that thing... this is bullshit
Almost all the comments are looking past one huge point...Anyone convicted of a DUI can kiss their insurance goodbye. A whole lot of folks are gonna get fukd over big time
This world has become soft and controlled by police
Fuck u gotta catch me first
Finally, thank you for addressing this issue. Although Alcohol still causes more driving causalities.
I really wish people would stop treating cannabis like alcohol. They're nothing alike in anyway what so ever. How many people have you ever seen smoke a joint and can't walk straight or put a coherent sentence together?
That's right way different. No one smokes a joint and beats their wife
In terms of cannabis, I think that the process is very good. First, perform the sobriety test that determines impairment, and if failed, request a blood sample to measure the amount in the blood which then determines the a charge.
That doesnt answer anything. What a fucking bogus law
And this is why we need to defund the police.
Telling us we can't even go kayaking and take 2 beer.
This was all fine until he talked about the baseline of THC .......🙄🙄🙄
How so? I can tell you heavy users and Medical users do develop a baseline that is well Above the highest offence of 5ng/ml in Ontario. This is an issue of freedom we have the right to medicate and we have the right to travel and own and operate a vehicle. We must demand better testing techniques and tell the gov that nanogram level does not equal impairment. If they can not develop a proper test that actually equates to real impairment then they should not be persecuting people since it can not be proven they're actually intoxicated in most cases.
@@ricksteegers2698 that was my point. I smoke weed all the time so my baseline would be way higher. I agree nanogram is absurd
@@science4life486 I see sorry I wasn't sure what you meant at first. The law as it currently is is ridiculous and does not provide justice or make anything safer all it does is serve to reduc/remove our rights to medicate and travel unmolested. No real medical user can legally drive since their baseline will be above the legal limit. Your fine driving until a cop simply accused you of impaired and demands blood then your screwed.
Smoking weed does not impair anyone... And if it does... I want some of whatever that person is smoking,
I wanna know where some people are getting their weed. Still high 8hrs later? That’s some chronic lmao
It's sad that the gov. has legalized pot!! They've created more impaired driving issues!! A lot of smokers are still using it as a regular cigarette - not equal to alcohol!!
Stfu
Get with the times old woman.
Who U calling old a**h**! What times? U don't think laws apply to U? It's ur f-uped thinking that cause accidents & deaths!!
Rose Homer uh correct me if I miss understood. But whether or not pot is legal ppl will still use it and drive dumbass
@@rmhmr279
He's calling you an old woman, because you are. Pot is legal now. Deal with it.
