    Hey Food Box HQ Family! Today we're unboxing, cooking, and taste testing Martha & Marley Spoon to give you our honest review.
    If you're not familiar, Marley Spoon is Martha Stewart's meal kit. Its main benefit, when compared to other meal kit out there, is that they take Martha's legendary recipes and pair them down to 6 simple steps.
    While we've reviewed Marley Spoon a few times in the past, we decided to film this video to check in again and see if they're still one of the tastiest meal kits out there.

      i just got my 1st box. my meals were not in those bags like urs are. did they change that? because i had hello fresh and they came in those bags and liked that. just seemed like they dumped the food in a box and sent it

    I am a new Martha And Marley subscriber. I am liking it so far and I’ve gotten about 3 boxes. They also have some gluten free meals every week which is what I order

      Nice! If you're looking for more gluten free meals, Green Chef is certified gluten free and all of Freshly's meals are gluten free too.

    I am pretty sure I order EVERYTHING you review lol. Thank you for taking the time to review the subscription boxes people are curious about. How do you decide which companies to try?

      Not exactly sure how this works in the US, but in Sweden we have probably 10 or more companies with this service, best way to determine which one you like is to first look at customer reviews and kinda eliminate the "worst" ones. Secondly I look at their menus to see if they have food to our family's liking, thirdly I set up subscriptions with all remaining providers, alternating between them week by week. Soon you will discover that the recipes are not to your liking or quality of ingredients is poor on some of them, finally you should have 1 or 2 favorite companies. We have used food kits like these for probably 10 years now, my experience is that no matter how good one is, you tend to get bored with the recipes after a few months, even if they vary the recipes they stick to a specific type of recipes and the taste is similar. Therefor alternating between 2 or 3 of your favorites gives you more variation, whilst giving you good quality meals fornthe family.

    I love cooking I’ve cooked all my life I am 61 years old. But I get tired of cooking. I don’t like to run around and get take out too much anymore. This would be nice I’m just wondering if they do maybe two weeks a month delivery.?

    • @FoodBoxHQ
      @FoodBoxHQ  Рік тому +1

      They allow you to skip weeks so you could always skip every other week to get deliveries twice per month. Hope that helps!

    What do you do with your empty box do you chuck it out after wards or does it have to be returned with the ice pack

    • @FoodBoxHQ
      @FoodBoxHQ  Рік тому

      Most everything can be recycled. Just be careful with the ice packs. Some are made from a water based formula though and can be poured down drain but you’ll want to double check.

      thinking of switching from HF. how did it go? I'm tired of all the ground meat. did Marley spoon perform better in that regard?

    Hi, I'm going through your back catalog to decide which service is best for a single guy. I have one small critique that is sorta a question. I've noticed you dont discuss price. Whether that be to draw more people to your channel, or your own philosophy. I understand you have affiliate links and the boxes aren't sponsored, so why not disclose how much you pay for said box, even a good place to plug your link/code whenever you become big enough of a youtube star. You have amazing potential as a channel

    • @FoodBoxHQ
      @FoodBoxHQ  3 роки тому +4

      hey andrew! good question, we go back and forth on including price because these meal delivery companies very often change their pricing around to compete with each other. for example, in the past we've talked about pricing in a video but a year later that meal kit changed their pricing and people were watching our video getting confused about the pricing. so since we can't update pricing in an old video that's already published, we decided to add it to our reviews on foodboxhq.com. that's usually why we end our videos with "to learn more, click the link below." I hope that helps :)
